Hey guys! I'm still working on my fluke (hopefully will have it done for next week) but here's something you might find helpful for altering moulds or making quick emergency moulds 🙃 also a little sneak peek at the fluke 😁
Holy crap I think you judt solved the problem I was having in understanding hoe to sculpt the scales. Now I'll use the plasticine to make the scale sheet, and pour the silicone in directly.
The important feature is that the plasticine must be sulphur free to allow platinum curing silicone to cure properly. Some modelling clays are ok, others not.
Just acrylic is fine. It helps the silicone cure and adds colour. Mica powders add cool perlescent effects but are not necessary if that's not the effect you're going for 😊
Sounds like the good part about plasticine is that you can just change the shape of the mold quickly without waiting for it to dry. Great idea!
The fluke looks mermazing so far😍, cant wait to see it completed. Much love💞

Make sure you do small samples first so you don't waste products just in case they're different to what I'm using 😊

Thanks for testing the plasticine from hobby craft! I have a hobby craft near me so I can easily go down there to get some to make moulds! 😄
Do you have to use powder or can you use acrylic on it's own
