Piers said that the treatment of the Palestinians is unacceptable. Yet the Palestinians are expected to accept it. If Piers, only hearing about it, finds it all unacceptable, then how do the Palestinians who experience it their whole lifetimes feel. But there is no acceptable way for the Palestinians to show that they feel this is unacceptable. They get killed at protests, they get killed at marches, they get killed at funerals, they get killed for rock throwing, they get killed for tire burning, they get killed for writing about it, they get killed for drawing about it, they get killed for organizing, they get killed for speaking up, they get killed for fighting back and they get killed for supporting anyone else that does those other things. When something is unacceptable, you refuse to accept it, and if someone forces you to accept it, you will fight back.
Its a huge ish-sandwich. 2 factions believe that Israel is rightfully theirs. Violence is on the table. 1 side shields its militants with schools and hospitals while sending rockets into random areas. The same side knows exactly what will happen when they attack randomly at the other, which is way more powerful....but they do it anyways. Then act like the victims when they get the reaction they knew they would from the actions they made. Most recently they made history with one of the most heinous terrorist attacks. While also bragging how they have been planning this for years. Even taking $$$ and materials given to improve gaza and west bank but made tunnels and weapons with those resources. Along with taking funding and weapons from other countries.

As a Blackman living in America , I think you ought to know , that this ideas of condemning the other side has and is being used as a pretext for an ever increasing need for security and final solution for ethnic cleansing by the state of Israel.

He is a cardiologist and surgeon who left medicine to enter the field of journalism in Yemen to express his opinion on the demonstrations in Egypt to overthrow President Hosni Mubarak, and he has a very famous program called The Program.
Correction: He was a cardiac surgeon not a cardiologist, and he quit medicine while having a fellowship offer from Cleveland Clinic because he wanted to do a satirical political show in Egypt after the 25th of Jan 2011 revolution against Hosny Mubarak. He never worked in Yemen or became a journalist, he had his own political satire show and was the top viewed show both on TV and online in the Middle East. After running for 3 seasons, the new president was overthrown and a military figure rose to power, releasing his wrath on Bassem by indirect methods. They made a tax evasion case against him and asked him to pay hundreds of millions, so he fled the country and couldn't even come back when his mother died. Muslims sacked Israel centuries ago and then occupied the land until Israel was reformed. The Muslims are the invaders and the occupiers. The occupation was ended 75 years ago.
The same state? The Hamas charter of 1988 specifically states its goal is the extermination of Jews and your plan is put them together? Brother come on now
We're in the situation we're in today because people thought exactly as you are now about Israel and the Jews. This issue isn't something that just popped up in the last hundred years, at least for all parties involved. Roughly 3,600 years ago the Jews displaced the peoples of the region and those peoples no longer exist. So by your own logic, the Palestinians are the unfair occupiers. And it also ignores that Palestine wasn't a sovereign nation when when the land was split between them and Israel. It was ruled by the Ottoman Empire, which no longer exists and lost the land to the UK in WW1. The problem is, pretty much anyone can make a good claim to the land and regardless of what decision you make, someone is going to end up displaced. The hope was that these two peoples could come together and live in peace, but neither are willing to and both have equally strong claims to the land itself.

Bassem spoke the whole truth and he implied it all whilst being satirical, which to me, showed his high level of intelligence.
Most interesting one being when he described that Israel are saying their is high level of civilians casualty because hamas hide behind them. But he totally debunked that and common sense also shows, that all those 1000s killed could not have been shielding hamas.
He outwitted Piers on many occasions and even got Piers to compare Israel with Isis.

I am from the Westbank exactly from Bethlehem where the Nativity church is and since I was a kid, I haven't felt safe I have always seen soldiers attacking Palestinian civilians and have always read the poets of Palestinian captives in the Israeli prison I just feel weak because they can do anything take our house take me to jail shoot me anytime. it is also not fair that I have to go to Jordan to use their airport because the old Palestinian airport was damaged by Israel. I deserve to feel safe in my own house and in my hometown streets. i deserve to travel using my country's airport! Why do we not have the right to move between cities like other countries?? Why do I have to feel stuck in my hometown? why do I need permission to enter Jerusalem and Haifa? Why do I not have the right to movement? it is hard to move from one city in the Westbank to another city also in the Westbank!

It was so scathing to the extent that his show was one of the main reasons why an autocratic Middle Eastern president that was back by basically the mother of all terror groups (The Muslim Bortherhood) was toppled from power after only one year in power, he is already on several terrorist hitlists cos of that, his show was so controverstail and was in the face of all the authorties that we had to wait till the time of the show airing to see if it will be brodcasted or not. I wish more people would question why Israel had intel of a possible attack and claimed that it was a surprise attack. I genuinely would like to know how something on this scale slipped through the cracks and ended up with the horrible death toll that has passed. I don’t know, maybe I’m missing something here 🤷♂️.
The same could be said for 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.... The problem with relying on intel is there is far more bullshit than there is actual useful information. And far too often it takes longer to verify that intel than it takes for acts to be carried out. There is also the issue that had they acted preemptively, as you suggest, Israel would clearly look like the aggressors and the rest of the world would be saying that Israel deserves the attacks even more than it is being said now. So as monstrous as it might seem, it makes political sense to let your people die in this situation. Do so means you can confront the enemy openly and hopefully save more lives in the long-term than you would have by acting in the short-term. And the reality is likely a combination of these and a thousand different things we don't even have the information on to consider.
