A classic didactic poem made more clear in the impassioned natural voice of a country singer. A little swagger, but just enough hoo-ha. Great recitation. Eat your heart out Michael Caine.

I found out my neighbor (Pathfinder) has a “Gunslinger” long-sleeved Country-Western Shirt he reserves for Weddings, Court Dates and Funerals. I have a similar shirt I wore at Poetryvreadings I performed… reserving mine for Readings and… I don’t know - generally cool stuff when my self-confidence level was on key mentally.

It is in great contrast but yet starts the same with the comment that "if is the middle word in life" with Hopper reciting this poem manically in , yet Hopper nevertheless.

My response in English, simply because it's easier :)
So, is it really still admirable to let go of one's emotions today, just because the new therapeutic era has brainwashed us into doing so?.. I think not. We've seen too much breaking down and uncontrolled expressed anger and bitterness by a generation that has it too easy, too good, and, in all truthfulness, doesn't know what real problems are like. Look back in history and read what a true disaster is all about.. We're spoiled. We're soft and clueless even. Going back to harnessing ourselves wouldn't hurt us a bit, in fact it would bring back some of the old virtues that have sadly lost themselves in time.

BS"D Our 6th grade teacher had our class memorize this as a tool for life...
That same year, during his class - haters - from the same evil sources as today - slaughtered our president, who lived by these moral codes. May humankind merit - true leadership - to overcome evil - and live life of "loving our neighbors as ourselves".
