Way easier it seems. I'm about to apply again for express. I had a interview back in 2021 and they wanted me to work, but I didn't like the hours. So I'm going to apply for the AM driving position.
Im former amazon boutta start at fedex express my boss said around 30 stops, im only doing part time 6-12 so I assume ill be actually on the road maybe6:30/7am-11/11:30am
Cool Video, good idea to document when Express still existed and Fedex actually employed company drivers before they send all their freight to Ground and go 95% contractor model ..When they say "Express employees will still have work at Fedex" it really means ...you can either go work for a Ground Contractor or Quit ..(technically they aren't laying you off) ...so take on more freight - get paid less - lose your vacation / Benefits or quit ....appreciate the video but might be time to start looking for a change before they screw You over.
For express it’s usually about 6 hours. Depends on how much you have, how far you have to drive, which places you have to hit first to meet time and how much traffic you have in your area. I’ve heard some places there drivers it’s like 9-10 hours a whole day but they do get paid a bit more than where I work it’s only about a 6 hour day. Takes about an hour from plane landing to driving off with your sort. Then about 3 in a half-5 hours to deliver here depending on amount of sort and your route.
@@tominator028 Sweet. Yeah since asking that question I got hired at express as a D3/Flex driver. (Basically a casual position, pick the shifts you wanna work on a weekly basis etc) and its been close to those hours. Though since ground and expressed merged some of the parcels are a lot heavier which we speculated happening. The gig is delivery only and about 95% residential areas.
I am applied for a job with FedEx and got hired. I'm just waiting for the new hire process to be completed. But they pay weekly and where I'm from they start at about $20.22 for drivers.
That looks so easy compared to Amazon.
Right! I work Amazon now as a driver and I'm sick of the totes lol pay is fair but was just hired for FedEx Express 🥳

I just got hired by FEDEX, looks like an interesting day. On a month of waiting for a start date though.

In Hawaii we’re taking over the ground operations here and that’s starting in October
Facts express people are in for a rude awakening unfortunately…ground is going to work like a ups driver and not get even half as much compensation
@@TheJordeezy1everyone will quit then
Including the time it takes to sort your truck at the start how long was that day roughly?

Atleast this pckgs don't have any adult signature on it .😭
do u get drug tested a lot?
If you smoke 🍃 it’s just not worth the risk getting a DOT driving job.
You ever think people get upset when you ring the doorbell and walk away
I kinda wonder that too, usually these days they'll get notification that its been delivered via email or whatever with the photo
