1. Coldplay - the band with zero ego. 2. Chis Martin is the most gifted frontman I've ever seen live. The difference his energy and focus brings to even that little 30 second moment in between songs is special.
@@Pfuetz4 1. No, it's not true, there are many bands better than Coldplay in sales or critical acclaim. 2. Yes, it's an ego if they glorify it. 3. Most gifted front man? You better check somebody named Freddy Mercury or Axl Rose.
@@shade45.55 prince lol. Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for Chris. Definitely not everyone’s cup of tea but no one will beat prince in my eyes. It’s all subjective of course.
It’s not often that backing vocals match - if not outshine - the main act! Nothing against Chris, but the energy, love and smiles from the team standing give this performance a real texture!
I agree but it's not like they are competing. Chris would have arranged this, placing himself as 'other member of the band' instead of the big front guy. He interestingly had an issue with this in the past, like the front man thing was changing his ego or something to that effect and was also getting paid more than the other band members because he was also doing all the press. From then on he chose to split everything equally.
Just goes to show how absurd the world has become when it comes to copyright claims. A band cant even perform their own music now without some lawyer/company/algorithm trying to get their greedy hands on the money. We really need to take things back to a simpler time, when creating art wasn't controlled by greedy corporate parasites...
Marietta Corsini, this is the best time for that, actually. It’s because of the home recording revolution that these music companies have become so greedy, or needy, I should say. Artists do not need huge record deals to get exposure anymore. We can record at home and release our own content. Many big artists today actually started on RUclips, including Justin Bieber.

Whoever mixes sound for all these Tiny Desks deserves a Grammy.. Back up singers so beautiful, smiley & soulful voices .
Entire concert was Awesome. I really needed to listen to "Broken." My mom passed a few days ago and I have been listening to music as 1 of the main things I can do to Distract. She and I LOVED music, and we also both LOVED Coldplay, but especially "Viva La Vida" and this this Tiny Desk version is not only THE BEST version of the song but the smiles and fun they're ALL having here thorughout is absolutely Beautiful & Uplifting. Much Needed. Thank You.
I know what you mean, that song r
And the vibes really uplifted me too!Much love and condolences to you my love x
gospel coldplay was not a mood I knew I could lust after during a pandemic, but I’m very very much about it
Please and thank you 🙏🏼
There’s a Forrest Gump joke in here somewhere.
Bruh, that backup choir is giving me chills.
Every... single... time.
The noise that Lewis Capaldi talks about is at 4:22. Y'all welcome.
2:54 Look at reaction of all people in video when Chris started playing Viva La Vida. Even Johnny looked at Chris while bouncing and smiled on his own song. Such an incredible song that will always be loved !
Mac Miller and Coldplay has the most tear-jerking performances on Tiny Desk
The woman in the middle/ middle has the most infectious smile ever, lightens up this entire set!
Yes, indeed!
I started smiling for no reason
My first thought: I want to have her as friend. Love people with this attitude in life.
And she's absolutely gorgeous. That smile makes her even more beautiful.
She remind me of Sade🥰 absolutely beautiful
2023 and I am still listening to this tiny desk master piece
Just came back to listen to the "noise" at @4:22 that Lewis Capaldi was talking about in his Tiny desk concert.
I can’t be the only one who prefers this version of “Cry Cry Cry”
Nope ur not powerful with the choir
I'm here in Italy, in quarantine. This is a true breath of fresh air. An amazing gift, thanks Tiny Desk, thanks Coldplay. Love you all
Hope Italy comes out of it soon. Good luck and my prayers.
A big hug from Spain my brother. I´m also in quarantine. we will resurface. Great Coldplay.
Good luck, hope you are well soon
Big love to you in Italy... and Spain and everyone experiencing quarantine.
Sending love and hugs
No matter what in life, a choir always saves everything.
This episode demonstrates the immense talent that exists out there. Every one of them incredible voices. Such amazing energy.
Except for the lead singer
😂😂😂
this version of "cry cry cry" is way better than the album version
andrew calvert agreed!!!
It happens quite often on tiny desk 🤗
Disagree. Good, but not so good as the original
Yes, he said himself that the choir successfully photo shopped their songs to be better than they really are lol
@@jrun2922 Chris is the sweetest person on Earth. He will always say things like that.
Chris is enjoying too much the fact that there's a chorus of outstanding voices behind him
You sound like Yoda.
Everybody would be so honored.

One of childhood to now favorite bands. Especially the 2000s era Coldplay. Golden time. Eveytime i see live versions of some of my fave songs of theirs i fall in love all over again. Chris Martin is such a gem all around❤ Tiny desk concerts are such treats. Im always amazed especially when i see some of my favorites artists on there
That's how you know they just love the music. It feels like they told their backup singers to not just perform, but to enjoy the music with them.
1. Coldplay - the band with zero ego.
2. Chis Martin is the most gifted frontman I've ever seen live. The difference his energy and focus brings to even that little 30 second moment in between songs is special.
Coldplay literally called themselves "The Biggest Band On Earth". That really big ego
@@shade45.55 Is it ego if it's true?
@@Pfuetz4 1. No, it's not true, there are many bands better than Coldplay in sales or critical acclaim.
2. Yes, it's an ego if they glorify it.
3. Most gifted front man? You better check somebody named Freddy Mercury or Axl Rose.
@@shade45.55 stop crying
@Andrew Silberstein Coldplay are 4 members, 2 of which aren't there.
I'm agree with you.
@@Drummer1000George travel issues or scheduling issues probably
Such fun. That choir is amazing. And Chris' enthusiasm was so joyful to watch.
OK, so I just listened to this 4 times in a row. Brilliant, joyful, gorgeous. The choir is unbelievable! Chris is right -- they elevated every note.
Fun fact: when this was originally uploaded, it was taken down because of a copyright claim by Universal Media Group lol
Yeah I tried to watch this AM but couldn't
Got to love those corporations
It's warner not universal
