Mo Salah passed the winning ball to Szoboszlai to finish and it seems like the passage of play that Slot wants, is to build through the midfield and wait for the opportune time to involve the final finisher.

I really do think if we can find him in between the lines, he is a wildcard that could turn close matches in our favor. He has alot of talent and a fearlessness in him. Quite unorthodox but can be very effective! YNWA

A bit out of context, people talk about Liverpool not active in the transfer market and the team is already written off for the incoming season.
Looking into the previous 7 seasons, City have won 6 and the other 1 was won by Liverpool. But in all those years every other teams were very active in market and never won anything. Arsenal is making noise because the two points missed, how many occasions has Liverpool had those near misses. Also these have faired with the Liverpool record in these periods?

The people in charge, Michael Edwards, Richard Hughes, Julian Ward, will have done all the due diligence with Arne Slot to make sure he gets what he needs to have the best shot at success this season. Totally agree with your analysis of Slot's tactics. It wasreally interesting to see us build up so much from the midfield.
Trey and Tyler stood out for me. I think they might be like Jarrell and Conor were for us last season.

this is a safe space so I feel comfortable saying this, but is anyone else excited to see us playing better football under Slot? The last two years have been a grind. I can tell Slot's style will take time to settle in but once it does I believe we'll create more high quality chances as we attack more dangerous areas of the pitch rather than relying on individual brilliance.

Braised meats on rice makin me hungry. Love the teriyaki with shredded lettuce too! It was interesting to watch the setup - so narrow in the buildup and very deliberate. It might take a little time for the players to be fully comfortable in the system. Good to win! YNWA

Lot of comments about him struggling a bit (i couldnt see the game). Any thoughts on Kaide Gordon or Blair? . Finally nice about Morton and Sepp. I really hope both are given enough chances to show they belong and thrive by Arne. Morton is two footed as well isn't he? (remembering seeing highlights while he was on loan - decent passing and shooting with either foot).

I think he's definitely worth keeping as a squad player for the new season, as a back-up to Bajcetic and Mac Allister, who I can see as the two deep-lying midfielders as it stands, unless we sign a defensively minded midfielder, which we probably should do as I don't see Endo as a starter. If Endo stays he would be more like a late-stage Milner, coming on late to see out a victory. Good call on Van den Berg too. I don't think we need to buy a central defender if we have Van Dijik, Konate, Quansah as the main three and then Van den Berg and Gomez as back-up. But Van den Berg needs to shut up about leaving for this to happen, otherwise he can just go, even at a reduced price. If he has any sense he would have the balls to stay and fight for a place for the next season. But of course he knows more than we do. Maybe he knows that Liverpool are trying to move him on (same with Endo, and maybe that's why Endo seemed distracted the other night). Anyway... nice to hear your chat.

Curtis wasn't being disrespectful to Klopp like some people have suggested. Dont think he was looking to a teachers pet either to be fair. He seemed genuinely happy when speaking.
He is definitely super happy because I think in his mind, he seems himself as the perfect Slot midfielder and that it would translate into a starting position. Confidence is definitely high with Curtis and I'm really hoping he can turn it on, week in and week out.
I don't get why people knocked him... especially our own fans. Curtis definitely has massive confidence in his own ability and feels he can shine under Slot. That's what we all want and ask from our players surely? That's exactly what the club needs at the moment...the players to get behind the Slot system. To show belief and get behind him in this massive transition. Personally I loved the interview and it's a relief that our players feel they can personally shine under his style of play....I hope it's catching and that other players will go all in too. It's only good for the club. I say well done Curtis for showing we're not necessarily weakened by the loss of Klopp and that we have players that really want to get onboard the Slot train.

I think Arne wants to play from the back and keep possession. So, its a 4-3-3 when he gets the striker he wants..? Double 10 as a short term play only..
Yeh he mentioned he is only playing the dual 10's due to a lack of striker at the moment but it will change during the season I guess when Nunez, Jota and Gakpo are available.
Another year another disappointment from curtis jones . Ball retention is the only his quality and makes us slow in transitions and doesn't have the X factor and instinct to becoming the level Liverpool need to win pl .

Sepp had a very good game. Great pace and positioning. I really think he should stay. He will play more than people think. He is every bit as good as Quansah, even Konate.
He definitely has great attributes. Hopefully he stands out amongst the boys in training and gets his opportunity to show if he can do it vs top tier opposition. Quansah was trusted in big games by Klopp

While I agree about Sepp having something to offer all the talk coming out of the club is that he’s not content to be second or third choice he wants to play all the time and he won’t get that at liverpool. I think he’ll insist on leaving

With Edwards back and Hughes in charge, I don't think they would let him go cheap. Ultimately we will get a good price or he will be part of the squad I think.
Curtis looks like his old self holding the ball for too long. System might be a bit difficult for Endo to adapt to with the quick midfield play. Let's see.

Harvey Elliot should leave if he wants more game time because he’s no where near good enough or strong enough to play midfield for us

Need time to get used to the new system but also, in pre season, we wont see the best of him because you only go full thunder into challenges and turnovers in the real matches due to risk of injury either side.
