Hi Lee, I had the pleasure of engineering a radio session for RTE Ireland with Judith, Russ, Waddy and you (of course) on one of Judith's tours. I was very nervous but in reality, it was the easiest day at work I've ever had. The talent in the room that day was incredible. I am a bass enthusiast and to engineer a session with the great Leland Sklar will always stay with me. You were playing your signature Warwick and there was no Eq, compression or anything applied. The magic was in the room. Please keep doing these videos! Peace

Andrew Kane I was also at that show, actually attended the night before too. I recorded it on my Zoom handheld recorder. Two night's of pure magic. Would love to get my hands on the RTE recording. Do you know if it exists somewhere online?

The beauty of your music is the ease and elegance. It makes us mortals think, "I could do that." Which of course, we can't. Not only would we have to be able to play that effortlessly, but it is the fact that you WRITE THIS MATERIAL! Amazing.

RUclips sure knows how to ruin a pleasant thing, interrupting Lee 's AWESOME playing of this song with stupid commercials for a flashlight ,a bicycle and socks.

I didn't think I'd heard of Judith Owen until my friend (and yours) Bryn Haworth posted a photo on Facebook of him with you having seen you playing in her band in London. Then I realised I had heard her before - singing with Richard Thompson on his 1000 Years Of Popular Music project. She is class, and I enjoy hearing your melodic bass parts on her songs.

Thanks again Lee. We can see the professional that you are in the way you can run through a new song every day - songs you probably haven't done for years - with brilliant, fluent playing, barely a single fluffed note... then - with no edits or cuts - you go straight into chatting and telling stories. We're watching one of the greatest ever session bass players here, who also happens to be a thoughtful, lovely guy.

Haha, Leland, I believe you meant (Dimitrou's) Jazz Alley in Seattle. There is no Blues Alley here. I did not know you and Judith came back to Seattle. I had the dumb luck of briefly meeting you sharing a cigarette outside of the Neptune in Seattle where we both caught the Victor Wooten concert. It was so lovely how Victor announced to the audience we have a special guest in the audience tonight. Total props! My pal bought a CD from Victor and I got to meet him, but then hanging out in the front, I got to meet you which was rather fortuitous. You invited me and my twin brother to your following night's performance at the Triple Door which we gladly caught. We were rather intrigued about her also being Welsh artist because our mum is from Cardiff, Wales. In any event, it was great to chat with you. We enjoyed the duo show with Judith, and it goes without saying, I am such a fan of all your work over the years. Cheers, mate!

I think it would be funny to see the interrupted footage. This is just like being at your home. We dont expect perfection just great stories amazing playing whilst chilling with you. No drama either way. Be safe your now officially a National Treasure here in Edinburgh Scotland. In my opinion you are the force of nature along with my hero Jack Bruce who I basically grew up with. My friends sister put Cream up one weekend, I happened to pop in to say hello. All I can remember is being absolutely terrified of Ginger Baker, seriously mad as a hatter.

Your friend has on what we call down south a go to hell hat on . If you don’t like it you can go to hell. Or the famous F OFF. Great tune. Can’t wait to here some spectrum. I watched you live at BB Kings in NY with billy and a killer guitar player and keyboard player. I think the guy on keys was a really good drummer as well. My brother has all the guitar players stuff. I can’t remember his name. Who would have thought an old Georgia Boy in NY for the first time stumbling into that. It was amazing being a drummer for the past 40 years. That’s when I really started following your work.

That insight into the creative process was great and sounds about like what happens when I'm playing.
If I start to beat a song down with repetition for something like perfection, I just muddy the waters and over-complicate matters.
I really like the song, it's cool. That repetition, I can feel my own nerves climb over the course of your part.
It's interesting to know someone can play something on command and in time; however, get them to repeat that part 20 times in succession and prepare to see a calm look quickly turn into a frantic panic over the course. You are good!
