    Brilliant Airline Flight Instructor and that Italian accent!!!!! It is quite entertaining and engaging!! Keep iit uuup!! Would like to see how you teach jet transition.Are you planning a video or have one produced yet? I wish to compare Airbus with Boeing as the philosophy of flying is different.

    Brilliant video, in what must be 200 landings in all conditions in the 737zibo - I didn't know flap relief was a thing... I know the buses have auto flap retract for takeoffs, so enjoyed learning the Boeings have a little trick here too!

    Thanks for reply Capt Gabriele, Any thumb rule how to calculate between distance and flaps setting to capture the glideslope?

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад

      You are very welcome!! Try to be 200kt at 10nm, 190kt at 9nm, 180kt at 8nm and so on.. extend the flaps accordingly...

  • @mekowgli
    @mekowgli Год назад +1

    So theoretically you could just set flap 40 at whatever phase of the approach and let the aircraft extend them when needed?

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  Год назад

      It is not good practice because you will overstress the TE flaps

    In sfp aircraft what is the purpose of flap load relief system up to flap 10.?

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад

      Hey, thanks for watching!! The FLR does the some Job, reduces the air load should a flap over speed occour.

    Thanks for new Video Capt Gabriele.... Is it a mandatory fly B737 with flaps 15 to capture a glideslope ?can we use flap 25 or flaps 30 to capture the glide slope?

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад +1

      Hey, you are more than welcome!! It is not mandatory, and you can intercept it with Flaps 25 or 30, it all depends on your distance to the touchdown..

    Is the same principle available to the landing gear system also? For example, if we put the gear lever to DOWN position above the Vlo speed and then we reduce the speed to 10 knots below the Vlo, will the gear automatically extend (as the speed has been slowed down)?

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад +1

      Hey, thanks for watching, the 737 models that I have flown didn't have such a system for the landing gear..

    Does the flap lever move as well or just the flap indicator when the flaps are changing their position automatically?

    • @PILOTCLIMB
      @PILOTCLIMB  3 года назад +1

      Hey!! I hope you are well!! No the lever doesn't move..

    • @gregshiro1863
      @gregshiro1863 Год назад

      It doesn’t move because it’s a manual flap lever. You have to physically move it to each detent.
