    Thanks for the video! I tried using the Allen-key. Worked fine for unscrewing, but not for putting the screw in a new reflector. Ended up buying an angled torx-key (nr. 25) and I should have done that in the first place. Still not easy to reach, but got it properly fitted in about 10 minutes.

    Thanks for the video. I had all but given up on replacing mine until I watched it. Never thought of the Allen key idea. I ran the self tapping screw in the reflector first to ease replacement. Still a bugger to get in though!

    Managed to get the positioning in correct when putting the new one in and managed to fully screw the screw behind the wheel arch but for some reason the other one wouldn’t go all the way in no matter how much I tried got a good tightness to it but wouldn’t go any further. At first I thought it wasn’t straight or lined up but checked and it was so must just be the screw with it being rusty

    • @artiexr222

      You are probably right Adam must admit I greased it and screwed it in and out many times before fitting it to the car those fittings can be a nightmare.

      Its a bit fiddly one is easy one is a bit more bit by bit but the secret is put some lube on the screw(oil,WD40 whatever you have) and screw it in and out a few times without the reflector in place to get the feel for it and away you go.

    My rear near side fog light has blown on my ZS. So I’ll be doing this in a couple of weeks, how did you get the plastic rivets off that hold the mudguard on? Thanks for video I’ll be trying this soon!

    • @artiexr222
      @artiexr222  6 лет назад

      Jamie they are a beggar to get off without breaking but are cheap enough at the Ford dealers.
      The theory is the centre bit unscrews therefore releasing the clip if you are lucky...in practise you end up using pliers to pull the centre out then the outer just comes releases easy peasy...hope this helps.

  • @benbussell2262
    @benbussell2262 4 года назад

    I managed to replace mine, but unscrewing and rescrewing the obscured allen screw was a nightmare. Even with the wheel off it's just so difficult to align and turn the allen key. I was faffing around with that screw for over an hour and a half to get the job done...

    • @artiexr222
      @artiexr222  4 года назад

      You are dead right Ben but I felt it a better proposition than taking the bumper off it gets easier with practise I think I did three with our lass catching the gatepost so £50 on some reversing sensors was well worth it lol.

      Hey. managed to do it at the end. I looked in some forums and it seems they are T20 Torx Screws. I got a ratchet and with it, I managed to get both screws out. The easiest one is the one on the back, next to the wheel (you need to pull out a plastic cap so you can get better access from behind). But the other one was really a pain to both unscrew and screw again, not much space there. I recommend a really small ratchet and to look at it from the wheel side, where the other screw is. Hope this helps someone.
