Wow; this is an amazing accomplishment!! I cant imagine the feeling of being one of the first people of the planet to invent AND achieve something with it!! I really hope you are able to make something big with this! If there is any proprietary technology behind what you made; you could patent it and create an entire company around this idea of being able to scan inside almost any collectible card sleeve for foils! There are so many ways you could run with this invention! 1.) You could manufacture the machines and sell them outright to everyone (targeting card shop owners to get inital interest and starting the "word-of-mouth" effect) 2.) You could get a patent on any I.P. you may have created and sell the patent to someone WITH royalties attached for every future sale. 3.) You could open up a chain of card shops that use your machine to scan any collectible card packs... You can seperate the hits from the rest of the packs and put them out on the shelves and mark them as "guarenteed hits" and you would make a fortune! THANK YOU for showing the world what you made and also letting people know exactly HOW this tech works so that they are informed for the future!!
I actually think I would like to keep him sealed. I have gotten a request for the Pinsir though - this is something I was hoping for, but there are people who specifically want a card that's not considered a "hit" just because they like it!
closed packs with guarantee hit inside and you know what the hit is? IMO thats worth more than the PSA 10 of that card... so I would imagine you could sell the pack with proof for the PSA10 price + a tax for sealed
How would this be worth more than a psa 10? Odds are manufacturing flaws are included, it just means you can guarantee a certain pokemon holo. Just like buying raw the implied value is lower than a psa 10 until it is given a psa 10.
Thank you for trying to start a patent on this to keep it widely unavailable without buying and using one of these machines because there are lots of people who make a living off of these cards and something like this crashing the value of all of them would ruin lives
Getting rid of the gambling aspect would not crash the market. It would allow for the market to better determine the value of card packs. It would help avoid people overpaying for packs with cheap cards in them and underpaying for packs with expensive cards in them.
@@gyroninjamodder that would make sense if every pack ever was scanned but what would happen if he didnt patent this is a few people would scan a lot of packs and only open the ones giving them a profit and then they would sell the packs with nothing in them at regular price making it very bad to purchase packs anywhere and it would greatly decrease the demand and value of sealed items dropping the value greatly

Losing tickets wouldn't be worth the radiation spent on them. Scanners like this cost a fortune to run

First of all congratulations, absolutely astounding. Never change.
Secondly open the packs to confirm.
Third I wonder if the scale could be done on a booster box. I would definitely test a more modern product. And then open it as well to see if your calculations are 100%.
Amazing lad, cheers.
There is no open pack to confirm. It's all right there.
You don't open the skull to confirm if brain is there after a CT scan do you.
Confirm what? Is there a possibility somehow a Pinsir showed up on a CT scan and it's actually a Blastoise? Lmao

Amazing stuff! Happy you were able to see the foils. Keep it up 🔥
This is honestly interesting to know and I'm sure you shared this info without any malicious intent. But now that you opened and released Pandora's box, all the shady awful people with disposable income will buy these and make the collecting scene worse than it is
Oh it is open since a long long time ago but - for reasons… - nobody showed it directly at youtube/ the internet. Thats the difference. Friend of mine tried this at work years ago with a Zeis 3D xray (I think it was a Metrotom or other model) and it worked pretty well. But yeah that was it… was like „yeah work, anyway…“ since none of us is into trading cards.
Brings a whole new meaning to “pack fresh”.
Ive always thought about "What if an invention that did this existed for Pokemon cards?"
Man, you essentially created another possible category for certifying packs, and possibly offering graded packs with certified/verified contents. This is your multi-million dollar idea man. Contact PSA, show them, and stack your cash.
Right on the money.
Buying calls on Ahron Wayne's brain.
Not literally I hope
You did a great job. A ton of people are like, ong this is gonna crash the market.
I dont think traders are just gonna go and buy a scanner like that
The energy of this video is wild
Bro, you could sell this idea for a million dollars, this will win a prize wow
Lol no. Only losers actually care about Pokémon.

Future card will be packaged in lead LOL. Or have like a card that turns red when it gets Xrayed
This was crazy. Loved learning your thought process throughout this obsession :)
Building a machine that focuses X-rays onto Pokemon cards. 'clearly my focus is on Pokemon cards'. Clearly hehe. That's an absolutely amazing project. Would love to see more about the basic concept of turning the scans into clear data.. Seems like magic
This is super interesting. Nicely done!
PSA 11 OMG. we have reached critical levels.
In the future, the collection will not be measured by nostalgia or $ but in years of life that the seller has left
Alpha and Beta Magic the Gathering boosters would be a fun to look at - starter decks?
Maybe some old Sports packs? Maybe a sealed tin with an old tobacco card.
Limitless possibilities
I'd love to see you peek into an unopened booster box.
Dude, this can work 1) you need to make get create a image pack of each release of cards, the cheap cards you actually CT scan, the expensive ones you have to replicate the image as a binary image. Then a Good AI image matcher would be able to ID the cards. This would give you a good layer of confidence to sell the pack sealed or if its worth opening. This coudl really fuck up the market for sealed packs
why does this video haven't reached 1 or 2 mil views yet? why other videos of people who actually is talking about this, but they are not the current "discoverer" of this, are getting more views? wtf ? give this man credit.
@@romanino that's the way the news goes
Your work is very impressive. Would you be interested in scanning tobacco packs that from 100+ years ago? Would be exciting to see those unopened tobacco packs have tobacco cards inside or not.
@@t206museum8 this would be pretty easy! Send me an email
This is actually great for sealed box collectors because now they (like PWCC) at some point won't need to tear off the seal and search the box to make sure the packs are real. Hurts my soul seeing the plastic come off just to make sure it's not a scam.
I've always wondered but never looked into it. Kudos to you for actually making it a reality.
Woah what a awesome video!! Thank you for sharing this story!
I dont know if you are the first to do this, but if it is, I hope you get filthy rich.
Nice job man! Reall cool working on a project and getting some results. Now start getting paid. 10k a year aint bad for a little buy and resell
This is just like the video of the guy opening the CGC graded comic cases. The it turns out other people had already been doing it for years. Theoretically he’s not the first to “discover” this method just brining it to everyone’s attention that it’s possible.

Tbh. If this works Like 80% of the time. Open Up a Store and sell "Peak a shuu" Service for 50 per scan.
This been going on for a few years now. They are mostly doing it on high valuable sports cards boxes. They are seeing logoman 1/1 from boxes now! It’s not even safe buying sealed boxes from a 3rd party!
Would you please take one pack that you scanned and opened to show undoubted truth that this works. Go buy a cheap current pack and do this to it and record the CT findings then open the pack to prove 1000% that it works.
It’s a schroedinger’s cat situation. You know the card that’s in the pack, but it’ll never be opened, so is the card you think is in there really actually in there?

Wow; this is an amazing accomplishment!! I cant imagine the feeling of being one of the first people of the planet to invent AND achieve something with it!!
I really hope you are able to make something big with this! If there is any proprietary technology behind what you made; you could patent it and create an entire company around this idea of being able to scan inside almost any collectible card sleeve for foils!
There are so many ways you could run with this invention!
1.) You could manufacture the machines and sell them outright to everyone (targeting card shop owners to get inital interest and starting the "word-of-mouth" effect)
2.) You could get a patent on any I.P. you may have created and sell the patent to someone WITH royalties attached for every future sale.
Could this be done with a booster box? Where is the limit?
This is insane. You are a beast
If the gengar would be a 9 or higher, it would be worth it to open the pack
You just revolutionized the collectors market! This should have some serious fallout.
I'd love to buy that Gengar fossil pack if you're looking to sell
I actually think I would like to keep him sealed. I have gotten a request for the Pinsir though - this is something I was hoping for, but there are people who specifically want a card that's not considered a "hit" just because they like it!
@@WaynesStrangeBrain if you change your mind I'm a buyer :)
closed packs with guarantee hit inside and you know what the hit is? IMO thats worth more than the PSA 10 of that card... so I would imagine you could sell the pack with proof for the PSA10 price + a tax for sealed
How would this be worth more than a psa 10? Odds are manufacturing flaws are included, it just means you can guarantee a certain pokemon holo. Just like buying raw the implied value is lower than a psa 10 until it is given a psa 10.
So you gotta play "whos that pokemon" to decipher the rare in the pack.
@@Xonoriuss The card within all packs still have value and if the price dropped greatly people could buy them and sell the cards for profit which would increase demand of the packs.
