I’m a disposable guy every day of the week. Those batteries last for a week. Oh and also I literally don’t give a half a crap about my hearing aids being seen. So much so that I’ve got my hearing aids the color of my favorite sports team. This way people know that I have difficulty hearing so they know to try to speak as clearly as possible.
I've been using Oticon but the thing I don't like about the new Phonal hearing aid from reviews is that you will only get around 7 hrs at the best setting. I like to have it set for the whole day without worrying about battery life or changing something.
Same here - would love to get some real world feedback on the Phonak's battery life.
They have a way where the hearing aid will automatically switch into ther profile basked in what your hearing but I think your hearing care professional has to set it up in programming
This is not true about the battery. It will not stay in the sphere mode all the time and will jump in and jump out. Most people are reporting a full day of battery with a lot of battery life left at the end of the day.
@@jeffj318 I didn’t say anything about battery life but yes if you leave that profile turned on your battery life goes down from 16 hours to 7 that chip takes a lot of power to use
Thank goodness audiologists have learned to project their voices. Nice presentation. It was bootilicious! Thank you all. FYI - I would pay the price of the aids again for custom molds. Am I missing something with the domes? So not hearing is why my family socially isolates me. Lol
Great video. It’s nice to learn about the different features currently available. There are features that will always be dealbreakers and features that would tempt me to upgrade before my current devices no longer serve me. I think i will always want longer battery life. I understand that i have great battery life for the way i use my devices. I am concerned about the lack of disposable battery and telecoil options. While i primarily use rechargeable devices, i have been without electricity for an extended amount of time and just requested a telecoil only program option because sometimes the telecoil plus mic option is too much sound in some listening situations for me. And please, can we do something about the physical design of the BTE? I am all about functionality over size. If the body needs to be bigger or longer to give me more features, I am ready for that change. And colors. I like color. Like i tell anyone, i may be old but i am not dead. I would have no problem dressing in purple or aa sunshine yellow simply because it is Tuesday. Can we get some new colors? I would believe that if people develop hearing losses earlier in life, there would be a potential market for something more stylish. If the best way to advocate for yourself is to let others know about your hearing difficulties, what better or easier way to let others know is having a visual sign of an invisible condition? My devices will be two years old this year and while there have been some remarkable improvements in the last six months, i think that there will still need to be a few more features before I am ready to upgrade.
I am using the Phonak Sphere on trial. I turned on the active Sphere app in noisy backgrounds a few times. Yes, the clarity of speech and the background noise are improved. However, they are NOTHING close to the demo conversation shown in your videos. Plus, the battery dropped from 15 hours of life to 7 in one hour. That is not good. I am usually in a quiet environment. I will try the Starkey AI and the Phonak on full noise boost. We'll see how they perform.
I have had the Phonak titanium for over a year. My two biggest complaint are 1)the door design for the battery is awful. It is designed to come off so the audiologist can program but it is always falling off when I change the battery and several times have fell apart and once again tonight when I was taking the battery out it literally fell apart and I will once again have to bring it to my provider for them to send back for repair fortunately still under warranty but now I have to wear one hearing aid for a week or so. This has happened several times. 2)When I’m listening the the radio going into work when I change the station to just music from commentary it becomes very frustrating because it automatically keeps changing settings and some part of the music becomes louder or the car noise becomes louder etc. I know you can set it to a music setting but it would be nice if I wouldn’t have to play with it while driving. Other than those two glaring examples it has and does perform well and I hear my patients well (I am a physician) without significant issues.
Happy you noted that you should work with an audiologist that knows the brand you want to use. You did that in your previous video but people have to understand how important it is. Wish I had known this before 😢
I really enjoy these videos. I would love to see one on how I, the patient, can be proactive in making sure that I'm getting the optimum fitting. My apologies if this has already been done. I just haven't found it yet
Do these have a T-coil in them?
T-coil is gradually going to be replaced with aura cast most of the new lines coming out don’t have a t-coil option a few of them do
@@LonestarTrentThe Nexia rie 62 disposable battery has both Tcoil and Auracast. Check with your audiologist to make sure.
I only want a cure for hearing loss i hate hearing aids 😭
Dr Cliff is the phonak sphere good for profoundly deaf?
Seek out a qualified audiologist who can guide you with this answer.
