- Hi guys!
For today's video we are talking about Chanel makeup, obviously, but we are going back in time. I thought it would be fun to look at vintage collections from the past and talk about them. I've scoured the internet to find old magazine ads and promo photos to share with you today. Please let me know if you remember any of these older collections and if you still have some of these makeup items at home.

The summer 2010! So fun!
@@HADESGODESS Thank you! 🥰
@@clarecollins3726 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I have a Chanel powder compact that is black with gold trim- it’s quite heavy. There were refills for the powder.
I also have a small unique bullet lipstick- it’s a soft matte- the bullet is metal, not plastic. I also have a Chanel multi stick. There was pink, peach and plum. I only have peach now but you used them on you eyes lips and cheeks. I’m happy to send photos if you provide an email address. So kool💕
I do not speak French, so I am grateful to hear you pronounce the Chanel names correctly. Thank you, Allison. ❤️
Thank you Lisa 🥰
I really enjoyed re-living the Chanel ads/promos. I remember many from the ‘80s so that was fun to see those photos. Thank you for delving into all the history of the ads, I know it was quite an effort. Blessings! 🌻
I'm so glad you liked this memory lane Carla! 😘
I loved this video! I worked with Chanel in the 80’s, 90’s, and through 2005, so this was so fun to look back at everything! Yes, the teint creme was a full coverage foundation, and a beautiful satin finish. Another product that I loved was the “double effect” eye pencil that came with a sharpener. Wear it for a soft look, or just wet the tip and get intense color! I still have the navy one, and it came in a few other colors. Great job on the video👍
Hi Vickie! Oh wow that "double effect" pencil sounds amazing! I hope they re-release that at some point.
Hi Ally, this was such a treat for me to relive the old collections. I worked at the Chanel counter at Macy's from 1983-86 when I was in college. I still love the OLD Glossimers and have several of the color Brilliance which I am keeping for posterity. I miss the diversity of the collections which is why I criticize Lucia Pica for not being original. Red every season is BORING in my opinion. My all time favorite collection was the Vamp Holiday collection, so so gorgeous! Thanks for the great video you cheered me up today!
Hi Aprile! I also long for more variety from Chanel. I would love to see lighter shades, cool tones and so much more from them 😁
@@AllisonChase Yes, absolutely , I hope to see the lip glosses re-done, lipsticks too. The colors are so dark, would love to see a nude lip collection for the Les Beiges line.
@@aprilemarie1482 Yes that would be lovely! I feel like they haven't paid as much attention to their lip glosses lately.
I have to say this was definitely one of your best videos Allison. Thank you for taking me back to memory lane, good old days. I am 53 so I remember some of these adds. I finished school in 1984 and had been buying foreign magazines back then. I used to stick many of them on my bedroom walls, in fact my walls were covered with them, mostly of makeup ads. I have to say I have a big room which is still covered with magazine pages of luxury makeup. I always had a huge love for makeup since the age of 15 but I live in Greece and my parents didn't think it was a good idea to become a makeup artist back then. So what I did from then till now was to makeup myself and take good care of my skin.
Thank you so very much for this video. You have touched my soul xx
Hi Caterina! I am so happy that you loved this video because I loved creating it! It was such a pleasure to create and I'm so happy I could touch your life in a positive way 💖I hope you're staying safe in Greece. Today I filmed a video (which will be published on Monday) reminiscing about my vacation in Crete and Athens, I miss Greece so much.
You should come again soon Allison. You should visit Santorini as well and Mykonos if you like clubbing. Santorini is my favorite but I love Crete too. Corfu (Kerkyra) is also one of my favorites too. Well Greek islands are great! I would love to meet you in Athens. Last year I met Andrea from the channel Dredredoesmakeup. It was such fun
@@caterinaiona6397 I love Dredredoesmakeup! That's so nice. I would love to go back Crete, last time I was in Chania. I want to go back and sit on a beach for a week 😁
Allison Chase Chania is fantastic. Next time you go to Crete visit Rethymno. You will love it there. The old town is amazing xx
Very interesting, Allie!!! My mother used the cream foundation in the 80's. I wish Lucia Pica would draw inspiration from some of these collections and lay off the red!! When I see the old ads, even from the 80's, they all look so wearable. I'd buy it all. Love this video. :)
Lucia certainly does love red 😂😂
This takes me back to a trip to Toronto as a teen in 1983 with my mom and sister. We stopped at a department store Dior counter and she bought me a beautiful red lipstick. It was a huge treat as it was the first time I had a “fancy” lipstick. I only wish I had kept it!
Hi Clare! Oh my goodness what a fantastic memory to have! 😍💄
I remember when Chanel Vamp launched in the 90s. It was *the* nail polish to wear.
S B Oh my goodness yes! It was the it nail polish 💅🏼😁
Allison Chase The nail polish and the lipstick! That was a long time ago😊
Yes!!!! I was working as a makeup artist for Chanel and it was so exciting! I still get excited to wear it
@@donnagholar9695 Oh yes the lipstick too! 😁
@@jamiesanchez2070 Oh that's so fun Jamie 😊
I have Nouvelle Vague nail polish! Love it! I still wear it on special occasions since it’s very precious to me and discontinued. A dupe is China Glaze For Audrey.💙
Oh good to know! Thanks for sharing Andrea!
First of all hats off to you to introduce/bringing back vintage collections of chanel,I am new to chanel as I said I started using chanel from 2018 only ,my picks from the vintage collections are 1942 NO 5 red lipstick,80s blush eyeshadow, nail colour, fall 2005 eyeshadow palette,2008 collections, spring 2008 nail polish,2010 summer collections, 2012 eyeshadow, nail polish,2013 summer eyeshadow stick, nail polishes, fall 2011 lipstick, nail colour,eyeshadow,2015 all, summer 2015 all(nail polish, eyeshadow single),spring 2016 all .I am curious that chanel should bring back these collections again.🤗🤗🤗.thank you Allison for proving some valuable information, plz do thses kinds of videos. Thank you once again.
Thank you Haemah 🥰It was such a delight to go back in time and look at these releases!
Oh a walk down memory lane. One nail polish you could not read is a black green shimmer was called black pearl and one of my fav ‘s. The Azure and Bel Argus I wore all summer long and still have them. They were summer for sure. Loved seeing this. I wish you would have shown a 5
Alerted shadow that came out in August maybe 2012 or 2013 all browns and an everyday look. I loved that and I wore all 5 colours down to full pan in every one of them.
How funny to see all of these. Thank you
My pleasure Hilda! I'll be turning this video into a series so no5 will definitely make an appearance 😁
Just an exceptionally interesting video. As someone new to makeup, but also grew up in the 1980-90’s, it was fascinating. Thank you.
My pleasure 🥰
I love this content, I’ve been obsessed over makeup but as I was late to game, I couldn’t catch up all amazing releases in the past. I’ve searched year by year on the releasing. Thank you so.
My pleasure! Happy to hear that you liked the video.
I have a set of lipsticks in tiny painter tubes in a small box from a past promotion. I don’t remember when exactly I bought it but sometime in the 90’s I think. I have the gold powder, it’s the face powder with gold glittering particles in it. It is beautiful and can be used wherever you like. It gives you a subtle beautiful fairy like shimmer.
Hi Charli! Oh my that gold powder sounds heavenly! 😍
Oh Wow,
What a nice video! Chanel in 40’s - WOW it was like going to the museum and looking at something really fascinating.
It’s really nice to see how Chanel still continues their tradition in their releases. IMHO the formula is getting better and better and better.
Thank you for your video Allison!
My pleasure Jenny! I also agree that Chanel has really improved their formula. Maybe next time I'll try to find more black and white ads!
Wow some of these collections are so beautiful, I would definitely buy.
I would definitely throw my money on some of these collections too 😂
I have been collecting Chanel make up since 1978! I still have my first eyeshadow quad and most products! So loving this.
That is awesome! 😍😍😍
Thanks for this great idea of "Chanel memory lane"! It's fun to look back and appreciate Chanel's edge and evolution.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😘
I have the eyeshadow palette and nail colour from Holiday 2012! They were a gift for my 50th birthday! The nail colour is called Malice. It’s beautiful! I still have them! I can’t believe they are 7.5 years old! I also have the ribbon coloured blush from Spring 2016 and wore it today!! It is truly beautiful! I’m dreading using it up! Chanel don’t seem to do things like this anymore! 😢💋
Hi Amanda! I also feel like Chanel had some special magic that's waned a little bit recently. I miss their limited edition blush/face palettes.
Thank you Allison. What a great idea showing Chanel vintage makeup. I certainly would also buy some of those collections today. Great to see the colours & trends 😍
Thanks Sue! 😄😄😄
Lovely video! My first Chanel purchase was Vamp polish...such a game changer. Also, I'm glad you pointed out the date of that first ad, as the woman looks like a heroine out of Wagner!
Vamp is so iconic! I have it too 😁
Loved this! Thanks for going down memory lane.🥰
My pleasure Dana! I'm so glad you liked the video 😁
This was such an unexpected joy! Looking at the comment section it is pretty obvious that everyone's perfect beauty ideal is influenced by how they saw their mothers back in the day : ) I also liked the 80s and 90s collections, as I was a full 90s kid, all the actresses and fashion magazine models had these looks which then I considered beautiful.
I would be happy however, to try those very colourful and bright eyeshadow sticks (waterproof?!) They seem very modern which I often seek in the less elegant errands :D
I looked up the inflation price tag, too... Well, Chanel charges almost triple than what it should, if we believe the internet. BUT even that poster with the 2$ mark could've been made without marking the additional tax on it...
Say, would you be interested in recreating some 40s-60s-80s vintage makeup looks from famous fashion houses? : ) With today's products, ofc.
The markup is unreal 😂But considering how much they increase their bags every year, it's not that astounding. I think that's a great idea to recreate vintage makeup looks with my current collection 😊
Love it! Nouvelle Vague is one of my all time favourite polishes. The unidentified dark polish is Black Pearl - also amazing. The Christmas one is Malice.
Thank you! Black Pearl seems like such a lovely colour 😍
I have, and used just last week, the ribbon blush from 2016. It’s so pretty I can’t throw it out. The old glossimers I still miss so much!
Hi Amy! I so wish I had picked up that blush! I also wish that they would come out with more shades.
Love Chanel and old school Chanel. Lucia needs to step it up several notches. The nail polish in the 2012 holiday was Malice, which apparently is coming back this Fall collection (according to some Insta account). The dark green black one you talked about was called Black Pearl. Holiday 2012 & 2015 were my favorites, I hope that "I like to repeat" Lucia repeats that one. The Chanel product that I always regretted not picking up is the contour blush Notorious! I was going to get it and my mom talked me out of it. The week after I went to get it anyways it was sold out everywhere!
Makeup regret is so real! 😫I'm so sorry you missed out on that palette!
@@AllisonChase it's actually their blush formula in this purple/grey contour color, it was so unexpected and great. I even looked on it on Ebay from time to time but they asking price was too much :p Now I never see them appear anymore
What fun to revisit these vintage Chanel makeup collections 😊you’ve collected a nice sampling of collections throughout the years. I recognized some of the collections - the “beige” collection was one of my favourites. I wish I had kept my older products even if I didn’t use them. They were unique and beautiful.
Hi Cristina! I also regret throwing out some old Chanel makeup, not anymore! I'm hoarding them forever 😂
I was introduced to Chanel makeup in the late 80's when my college roommate wore Coco Chanel perfume. It was so spicy and sophisticated, and I had to have it!! I also started wearing the makeup at that time, and many of these product promos brought back "memories"!! While I have "occasionally" strayed from the makeup label, I am always happy to return. BTW, I am still wearing Coco Chanel (and still love it)!
Hi Beth! That's such a cute memory 🥰
Love this video! Chanel has made some truly collectible items! I have the Coromandel palette and the holiday 2012 palette and they are definitely works of art!
Agreed! 👏🏼 😍
This was such fun, Allie! I love going back and seeing old beauty campaign advertising. 💗💄🌹
Me too!! I'm so glad peopled liked this kind of video 😁
What a treat Allison! I need to replay this video with my mother at a nice coffee time 🥰 I love the 2016 collection blush! So lovely! Thank you for always bringing such fangs and creative content. Love you my friend! 😘💖
Thank you so much Jackeline! Yes please watch this video with your mom! That sounds so lovely 🥰Love you too 😘
Wow Alli! What a fantastic video, I’m sure it took lots of effort just to research these historical collections. Thank you so much for all the details. So interesting to see the history and development of Chanel’s makeup through out the years. I think what Lucia has successfully done is to provide a story, or an inspiration behind each of her collections, but I agree with most is the obsession with the colour red, with all of its nuances, and shades, that has become more of a “personal story” rather than satisfying the consumers needs or taste!
Thanks again 😘
Oh I'm so glad you liked today's video Iman! It was such a pleasure to research and put together, I will certainly create more videos like this in the future 😁
Wow! I still have some of the eye shadows you described! I am wearing Chanel since the 80s... So it is fun but at the same time a shock to see how old am I! Hahaha
😂We're all young at heart!
What a cool video, Alison!☺️ and so timely- I just used my Affresco palette today, which is not so old, but still runs a few years back and is iconic because it’s Luccia’s first 9 pan eyeshadow palette and actually the first one like that by Chanel:))
Oh I have so many old limited edition & exclusive items by Chanel, I could have a little museum probably 😆 I just recently dug out a 5 pan palette that was devoted to their famous bag anniversary and had a chain imprint on the shadows, L’intemporel de Chanel:))🤦🏻♀️ and I have large striped blush palettes which I keep for summer but never actually use anymore 😆
A special item to my heart is the Lucky Stripes palette devoted to Vegas. I used to live in Vegas for awhile, but it’s not that; the palette itself is really unique and it was the first to feature something really close to a contemporary highlighter:))))
So many beautiful items🌺
Hi Victoria! I like your makeup museum! 😂You have so many great collections!
Allison Chase haha 😆 Alison, you are the nicest:)) you’d get admission any time😆
One exclusive piece I really regret not getting, I don’t know if you remember it, is a Harmony of flowers or harmony of something face palette with a very delicate blush and highlighter, man it’s gorgeous... the design and print was similar to that dark brown and black palette you featured, but it was pink, white, peachy. I had it applied on my face during a makeup session at a Chanel boutique, otherwise I wouldn’t really pay attention to it thinking it’s too light. But it is not... anyway, I recently saw it on ebay, but I just don’t do this - buying Chanel over ebay?.. and it’s a few years old, they’re very likely to come up with smth new
@@victoriamyst4742 Oh my goodness! That palette was so pretty 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Hi Ally! This was really cool!! Loved it! Thanks so much for your efforts for this! I can’t take my eyes off your gorgeous lips/color!! STUNNING!
Thank you Laura! 😁
Such fun Allison. Loved seeing items I had and wish I had purchased.
Chanel holds a special place in my makeup heart. 🦋🦋
Mine too! 😘😘😘
Terrific video!!! I recognized, and still have and use, many of the products you discussed. I see others have done identifications on products you wondered about, so will not go there. Thank you for making me smile today!
Thank you! I'm so glad I could brighten your day 😁
Very interesting. I enjoyed these beautiful ads. Also it was a great reminder of their shimmery lip gloss "Lèvres scintillantes"I've owned about 10-11 years ago.💄💖😘
I'm so glad you enjoyed this series! 😁
Thank you so much for the mention ☺️💋Great video👍 ❤️I almost remember all those beautiful Chanel collection and that makes me think I am not so young anymore 🧓😂🤪 I think the deep red nailpolish was Malice, it was a little bit more red than Rouge noir and with some metallic finish. Particuliere is still available 👍it is such a great and unique shade 💅
Oh yes Malice! I remember that one but I never bought it. It’s good to know that Particulière is still available, it looks like a perfect colour for fall.
@@AllisonChase yes it has become such a great classic shade 💅❤️ I hope they will not discontinue it
@@Mybeautyshopper Me too!
What a great idea for a video! It was interesting to see the evolution of the Chanel advertisements and products over the decades. I saw one of my very old quads in there. It was the brown/gold eyeshadow quad in the square shape. I guess I should discard that one as I didn't realize it was a decade old. I haven't used it in years. Fun video to watch. Thank you!
Thanks Mary! I have such a hard time discarding older Chanel makeup items. I refrain from using them but keep hoarding them 😂
Omg I love the idea of this video!! I need more makeup nostagia from other brands! Yes!!!
What a great idea to do this topic but on other brands!
What a great video Allison! It was so neat to see so many collections from the past & the differences. You can really see how much time & research you put into this video. Just love these history videos that you have started! 😊❤️
Thanks Lora! I'll be continuing this series 🥰
I had the spring 2011 palette. It was a pearlescent eyeshadow, but the darker shadows had a blackened base unfortunately. It was quite difficult to work with, but so pretty to look at! Trip down memory lane!
Thanks for taking a trip down memory lane Cath! 😄
Bon matin Allie. Always with excellent ideas!!!! I loved the video. I can't tell the collections that I still remember because you will see how old I'm :) :) xoxo Ida
Bon Matin Ida! I'm so glad you liked the video 🥰 🥰
Loved this video, so interesting and a lot of effort for you. Thank you for sharing ,would love to see a dior video like this 😊😊😊
Dior will be the next topic! 😄
Fun topic. Sunkissed Ribbon blush is still my favorite in my entire collection. I, too, love Tisse Jazz. It is well loved. The only thing I regret not buying when it was released was the Camelia highlighter. I wish Chanel would release it again. I did purchase the split plan highlighter that was released a while ago that has a similar shade but it isn't the same and , of course, it does not have the camelia embossing.
Hi Kathleen! Makeup regret is real, especially when it comes to Chanel releases 😂
I agree about the ribbon blush! It’s divine! I’m still using mine!
@@amandachorlton39 I'm Jealous 😂

It's hard to go wrong with a Chanel holiday release 😄
Allison Chase yes and your video I still love watching
Really enjoyed this segment and looking at the pictures! I started getting into the luxury lines about 5 years ago and never looked back. Thanks for your reviews as well. Makes my purchasing much more informed!
Thank you so much Mikki! I'm so glad you like this new series!
Ahh, such a beautiful video! Thank you, love Chanel and their previous releases! I remember older nail polishes and dual eyeshadows, my fave was Aqua something 🤦🏻♀️etc, anyway, thank you for this treat! Omg, and from 2005 that cream highlighter, I had it and used it to death! I also had Poudre Crystalline as a finishing powder!
Hi Eka! It was so much fun browsing through these old releases! 😄

The 2005 was an eyeshadow and it was lovely. I still have it
Oh yay! 😁
What a great video! 👏🏼 Loved it! How awesome would it be if Chanel redid pieces here and there from their old collections? Holiday 2012 is probably my favorite of all. The pieces were centered around the shade Rouge Noir, which is my FAVE from Chanel! I still have my Holiday nail polish from the summer collection and it’s still so beautiful. I remember being the recipient of someone’s makeup declutter in 2004 or 2005 when I was in my early twenties, and receiving a couple of Chanel lip glosses. Unfortunately I threw them away as they were very sheer, and didn’t fit my aesthetic of makeup at the time! My first Chanel purchase came around 2010, I bought a purple eyeshadow quad that had the square pans. I used it a few times and gave it away. It was just a bit too powdery for me, I was deep into RUclips makeup at the time- bold and fun colors, lots of MAC, and lots of fun drugstore items. I still have my Belargus and Azure nail polish, as well as the BEAUTIFUL Peridot! Oh! I remember when I was living in the UK between 2013-2017, one autumn/winter seeing in Debenhams the display of Chanel Architechtonic eyeshadow palette and the flourescent pink blush 😍 I loved the look of it, but could never afford it at the time!
I also decluttered some Chanel lip glosses at the time but now regret it 😂I think I'll just keep hoarding my makeup from now on!
The Fall 2005 is similar in design to one that came out a couple years ago. Instead of black, there’s a white/offwhite color. I just can’t remember the name. I have to look for it. I love it; but not so sure how to make it work and give it a good use. 😊 I know I’ve use it as a face palette and it wasn’t bad. Love your video
Thanks so much Marlen 😄
I think Nordstrom has a perfume/lipstick combo in their last anniversary sale, and one review said something like oh wow I paid the same price getting this together than if I had bought them separately, lol. I think that’s what Chanel does for holiday’s sets too, they group items but the price is the same than buying the products individually.
I have the nail polish Nouvelle Vague, it was definitely not my first Chanel nail polish, but I think with this color I started “collecting” their nail polish. Before this color I think Jade came out, I did not get it and regretted it. I think they re-promoted it later, or they had it available in their website, actually I may have it, I’ll check my collection, now I’m curious.
Sorry, I’m going to edit so many times. The gray/green nail polish looks like Black Pearl. It’s beautiful!
I loved this video! Awesome idea 😍
No worries! Makeup regret is so real and especially when it comes to Chanel! 😁
I loved this video. I used to wear a bright pink Chanel lipstick back in the 80’s and I had a pair of bright pink cowboy boots to match....... lol. You mentioned a blue nail polish Bel-Argus, I found this and a few other Chanel nail polishes at a discount store for $4.99. I haven’t used the color yet. I showed it to my SA and it looked legit to her, so it was a great find. Again, I really enjoyed this video. ☕️💅🏻💄
Barbara! I love the matching pink lipstick and cowboy boots 💖 What a great find at the discount store!!!
One US dollar from 1942 is worth $15.73 today. Amazing considering what they are charging now. Much more than the inflation rate.
Wow what a price markup!
The 2012 holiday ensemble I was fortunate enough to get and that nail polish was called malice and it was stunning !!!! my favorite is vamp next to Malice! I hope they re-launch that soon
Hi Lisa! I hope so too! It's so perfect for fall/winter.
I still have the Coromandel pallette. It's a blush and eyeshadow palette. I saved up for it because I was still at uni at the time and never had the heart to use it because it looks so gorgeous. The embossing is supposed to mimic coromandel silkscreens.
Oh thank you for letting me know! I don't blame you for not wanting to use it - the detailing looks too pretty to use up 😂
What a fun video. I totally agree with you about the Afro hair - they should have absolutely used a woman of colour as a model but I guess it was a different time back then. I hope they do better now. I started getting into makeup around 2013 so I remember the eyeshadow stick and nail polish azure which is beautiful.
I totally agree! That's so fun that you remember those eyeshadow sticks and that nail polish.
Lovely video. I love Chanel and I love Allison.
Thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰
Hello Allison,
I hope you're fine.
What a good idea to make this video !
It is interesting to see the evolution of the model's look through the years (always very chic).
My favorite item is the palette of the 2005 collection (with the details).

Thank you very much Magali! I hope you have a good weekend 🥰
I loved this video !! I don’t have any of these products 😕I started purchasing Chanel about 4 years ago my collection is getting bigger but I would love to own vintage Chanel makeup !
Hi Ana! I wish I had some of these older collections too! 😆
I bought a gold flecked shimmer cream that was advertised on the feet and ankles to be worn with sandals around 2000. I wore it on the delecotage, arms and legs with a tan and slip dress. Gorgeous.
I also had an emerald green eyeliner that I bought in the late 80s. It was beautiful and didn’t budge once it set but could be smudged straight after application. I wore it down to the nub.
Oh that's so fun! I love a well loved makeup item 🥰
This video was great fun!!
Yay! Glad you liked it! 🥰
Yes, loved your video today. The beautiful young woman with the eyebrows is Brooke Shields. She is known for her eyebrows.
Yes!!! Thank you MaryLee, Brook Shields is the name I couldn't think of!
2005!! I still like that look and colors. Shiny sleek hair and healthy, and classic lip colors, etc.
Yes! Such a great look!
Such a great video!
Thank you!
How fun--I owned many of the older items. If you have any questions, I'm happy to chat.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this nostalgic trip! 😁
This was fun!
Thank you! Should I do it again?
Spring 2011 - I have the eyeshadow and the nail polish which is called Black Pear. And a pearly black eyeliner pen. All still good. :) Today I´m wearing the nail polish from the nail polish from holiday 2012 collection - it´s called Malice.
Hi Katarina! I remember Black Pearl but unfortunately I did not purchase it 😭
Topaz lipstick was my favorite!!!
💄💄💄
I still have Les Coromandels Eyeshadow Palette , unused!! It is from 2005! It is a dark blue and rust colour with gold!!
Wow that's so iconic!
Btw Nouvelle Vague nail color was **everything** when it was released. It sold out everywhere. I was SO happy to have it
I think the nail polish in 2011 collection is called Tahitian Pearl. I have it.
Oooh that sounds lovely!
The bronzer from 2010 I still have. I have hit pan but there is more in there and it is the best bronzer I have ever had. It is called Soleil Tan De Chanel Moisturizing Bronzing Powder 617 Terre Halee. I also have the nail polish Mistral. Can you believe I used it last week? I just had to throw a few drops of thinner and it lasted a whole week. I also have Riviera. That is what I like about Chanel. They don't expire like ever. I also have lipsticks from back then that still smell and feel like new.
That's so amazing that you have those older products! I just ordered a nail polish thinner off of Amazon because I have some Chanel nail polishes that I still love but are getting harder to use. Thanks for the tip!
You are so welcome Allison♥️😻😘
They do still make le vernis Particulière! I have it. I collect Chanel Nail Polishes.
I just got it over the holidays 😍😍
Hi Allison! What a super fun video! I admit, I owned a few of these items. The blue eyeshadow quad and cream eyeshadow, the brown and taupe eyeshadow duo, the bronzer with waves. But the rerelease of the Vamp (rouge noir) lipstick plus collection a few years ago was my favorite. Chanel is supposed to be bringing back favorite, vintage blushes, do you know when? I would die if they brought back Rose Tourbillon!
Hi Angela! I think they've released them in the UK now, hopefully we get them shortly in Canada! 😘
I owned some of the hydra base lipsticks, and that Coramandel eye shadow palette. I also owned those striped bronzers. I wish they would re issue vamp.
Hi Donna! That's so fun that you had those collections! I would also love to see some of these items rereleased 😘
This is such a cool video! Coming across it in 2025 ❤
When i was 13-14 years old, i started to collect Chanel's nail polishes. This was around 2008. I still have some of my early bottles and, surprisingly, they still work! I had Nouvelle Vague and Orange Fizz from the 2010's collection and i adored them. I'm kinda disappointed in their recent nail polish collections, they seem kinda of boring to me.
Those nail polishes started my habit of buying luxury and high end makeup.
ENX25 I love Orange Fizz! It’s such a lovely colour 😍💛🧡
Allison Chase, it is! 🍊🎃😊
I have « La ligne de Chanel » in Marine/black professional dry eye-liner since 20 years
Nice, such a classic look Viviane.
Can you clarify your comment about the afro inspired hair?
I’ve been a collector of Chanel since 2007. Do you have an email or some other way I can send you some photos. I have some really hard to find/rare items...Chanel is the best!
Hi Amy! My email address is listed in the description box 😄
