Thank you for your comment. Belzona 1111 can be used provided that the surface is clean, dry and roughened, however for the purpose of this video we decided to show off the capabilities of using one of our other products, Belzona 1161, as this material also adds an extra safety precaution, just in case the best possible surface preparation can not be carried out.
Will this product repair a water leak from a tank, leaking from a weld seam, if used with 9341 reinforcement sheet? Or plate bonding is the only solution.
Thank you for your question. Yes, it would work but it would not be able to be a live leak repair. It must be done with no pressure and let cure to a full mechanical hardness as per the Manufacturer's Instructions for Use. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact our Technical Department at tkl@belzona.com or find a local Belzona representative: www.belzona.com/en/contact.aspx
Hi Jaydip, Unfortunately, this repair technique would not be suitable at 85°C both due to the material properties and the risk to the applicator. We would therefore recommend that the system be shut off prior to the use of a High-Temperature paste grade such as Belzona 1511. If you require any further information please contact us at www.belzona.com Thanks, Miles
A $.30 self tapping screw and washer with a rubber washer underneath would take care of this problem almost instantly, and no one would have to put on a hazmat suit lol
Hello and thank you for your question! This specific repair is done at ambient temperature conditions. Repairs like this could hold higher temperature patches but the live leak must be stopped and the product must be fully cured before seeing the wet heat from the water. Please let us know should you have other questions. Regards - Belzona Team
