I also expected something else from a comeback song. There were parts that were very "radio friendly", but then there were parts that I wish they had elaborated more, meaning every part that wasn't poppy. They didn't quite use the full creative potential of Apocalyptica, it's like just attached there later. The chorus could've been better without the rhythmic cellos, I agree. Maybe they put absolutely everything in a bag, gave it a shake, and this is the outcome. This song is screaming for a remix, a dark and heavy one, with the same video.
I have to correct myself, this wasn't exactly the comeback single, a couple of months ago they released a lyric video for "Bones" which I just listened and I like it better on first listening.
Didnt expect to see new music from The Rasmus ever again, the song itself is well in ...and out.. its not one i will stick with, but real fun to see this anyway:)

Hello!! Honestly🤔... When I noticed years and years ago that Rasmus isn't releasing new music anymore, I was kinda glad😬😬😬... I know it sounds bad but for some reason (and I don't have any single reason why🤷)... Rasmus has always annoyed me a bit!!😬 Don't know was it only the style or Lauri's voice or what or all the things together but anyway, it was the band I tried to avoid as much as could😅..
This collaboration didn't excite me so perhaps completely wrong mood to even start to listen it😅... First☝️.. when I did listen this the first time, I honestly did listen it by skipping after the first 45 seconds and the issue was, it didn't matter did I skip 5 or 20 or 35 seconds... The song didn't change A BIT😳... The same beat, the same rhythm, the same melody just continued all the time and you didn't even notice the skipping🤦... Ofcourse it's the same song and the sound mostly should stay the same but it was SO similar that it only reminded me of some 90's techno-song with that beat and everything😬.. I agree it wasn't SO Apocalyptica's style of song and more what you would have expect from Lauri's solostuff😬.. So like you, I expected a lot more from Apocalyptica😅... Maybe not s bad song but to me personally, a way too poppy song🤷
You know😂😂... Now I actually noticed that it WAS Rasmus' song and Apocalyptica was the guest😅.. I first thought it was other way around🤣.. no wonder I didn't like it at all😂
