I think he only wants to mate when she is in estrus, but all kinds of things are possible. She is certainly not behaving like she is in estrus herself. But she is a cagy interesting gorilla.
DJ has bites Tay what ever happens and iriki has started using that as strategy to be Alfa female I think Tay has started distancing and not mating with DJ. I have hardly seen DJ hurting iriki and she screams before anything happens.
Hope DJ and the greedy B happy themselves braking up a happy family .just hope Ringo don’t pick on Bad behaviour from DJ and his greedy B mother Iriki. Is also clear to me after past few day jab stills loves his dad But has Lost Respect for his actions towards his mum Tay.
