Is there a hell after this? I bet you can't name a single thing in hell that you can't find here on earth.
It appears the extraction process is drawn out for the sake of the video, exacerbating an already painful and stressful situation for the cat.
The extraction needs to be slow since the larvae have little hooks to keep them from being pulled out. Pulling too hard would tear off part of the larva, leaving part of it to form a nasty infection under the skin while making it almost impossible to extract. It's a fine line between pulling hard enough and not pulling too hard.
You don’t want to pull out the larvae to fast due to breaking it off. These are professionals. They know what they are doing.
I thought exactly the same thing!!! I watched many, many of these clips, and I've never seen one with the mess around as shown here. I couldn't even finish watching the first one.

Those poor kittens. Why wasn't the first one sedated or anesthetized! This is an awful thing. Those holes are big. Poor kittens must be in pain. Glad you helped them at least with this gross thing. Why are some not wearing rubbber gloves.

The question is,are these people medically trained,otherwise I do not believe that they can use anesthesia on any animal
Most of them are animal lovers.
No vet would put a kitten that young under anesthesia. They might have been given a light pain killer but again dangerous for a little kitten.

Why did you do this procedure without pain medication. This hurts them you are so cruel. These are babies and you are using them as ragdolls. Be kind and not so rough.
Conditions do not allow you.

I got a bot fly on my upper left back. Never heard of it before that. Went to the dr thought I had a really big tick dug in. When they pulled it out the nurse screamed. You dont see those often in kansas but picked it up in egypt they think. Still have a 2in tunnel.

Some of those larva are absolutely HUGE. How big are the flies that hatch from them? Also, after hatching does the "skin" of the larva remain in the wound causing infection?
