    While the benifit of the "Speedy Jig" is it being portable, with suction cups. It could easily be modified to fit on a small board with some T-track, for an adjustible jig. That is a more permanent system!
    I have never made any paracord crafts, but it looks like fun and fairly easy. I do ocassionally make fishing rigs and leaders, and a jig like this would even be a handy tool for making those monophiliment line rigs.

  • @robertsanchez9030
    @robertsanchez9030 Месяц назад +1

    Have you consider attaching the jig to a 2" wide by 4 foot long 1 inch thick board with Tee nuts and bolts for long projects or a shorter board for smaller projects. It also breaks down for storage or travel.

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  Месяц назад +2

      That's definitely a great alternative option instead of using the suction cups! I'll have to mention that in the follow up video.

    If i bought that I'd drill holes in a board so i could adjust one end and fix everything with bolts. I'd at least just use one attached to a desk like you said. The vertical option looks like it would be easier.

      Hey Shane, I'm going to have a talk with my people at Speedyjig about the suction cups. I too noticed they weren't the best at sticking unless the surface was very smooth. Perhaps if we can come out with some better replacement cups they can be thrown in for free with your next order if you've already purchased an infinity jig.

    • @doloinc

      Remove the suction cups and secure the jig to a piece of 2x6, either the length of the table or whatever sized footprint you want.

    I’m wondering if these suction cups would adhere to a Fiskars Self-Healing Cutting Mat? These self-healing mats are used for sewing and other crafts. I also have a large plexiglass quilter’s ruler (6” wide x 24” length).
    I have a natural-finish wood table, so I’m certain suction cups will not work. But I really like the compact portability and flexibility of this jig.

    I can tell you what it cant do…. A monkey’s fist. Im not a genius and I can tell you what it can do. I can also tell you what it cant do. Cant stick to any normal surface, cant stand at 45 degrees or do a monkeys fist. Cant tell you how many paracodists I have seen weaving on windows or sliding doors….. count…less.
    Not to be rude, but I already have been, if you are going to release a new paracord jig it should exceed expectations. And then some. Both new jigs offer nothing new except looks. Honestly I’ve never looked at my window and said, “ I wish there was a jig to stick to a window. I weave from my wooden bar counter with a speedy jig. All mods that I have to do is clamp it down. No weights and suction cups. Love the channel but these new jigs are not well thought through.

      Hi Stephan, my apologies on behalf of Speedyjig and PW for the jig not living up to your expectations. You have every right to express your feedback and you are correct in that the performance of the suction cups is less than ideal on surfaces that aren't glass or super smooth. I've addressed this issue with my team at PW and if/when they come up with a solution for that they should be able to send that solution out to people like you that already have the jig and aren't satisfied with it's performance. Thank you for your support and feedback, we value it very greatly!

      @@TheWeaversofEternity thank you for the professional and speedy reply. Please do not misunderstand me and my intents. I love the channel as it introduced me to paracording and made it my new hobby. I understand the time and effort it takes to design and develop a product. But the new jigs, as good as what they look( and they really look the part), just fall short. As much as I come through as harsh it’s only with good intent from me for you to understand what the consumer is expecting or looking for. I wish you all the best.

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  Месяц назад +1

      All good, we value your thoughts and opinions. Just to follow up on my previous comment though, the new jigs are definite upgrades from the original speedyjig in that they are heavier so they do stay in place better when being worked on. The rubber feet are screwed on instead of stuck on with adhesive, and the tensioning screw has a knob on it instead of just a wingnut. The buckle holders can also accommodate many different sizes of hardware. These are all well thought out upgrades in my opinion that go beyond just looks.
      As for this infinity jig, it is meant to be used a certain way and for longer projects, which it can do when it is used as intended. Lastly, all of our jigs are priced very competitively, and the infinity jig is a $20 dollar product. So I think that expectations should be in line with the price being paid for the product. Thank you again for your feedback and support!
