Here’s an excerpt from the email I got today: “Expect your order within 2-4 weeks.” Yeah, that made the scam sting a little more 😕

@@BrassStacks typically it's not only the depreciation it's the cost per mile. Clutches, tyres, brakes, oil changes etc. The engine typically has lower tolerances so they can squeeze more power out etc which causes faster wearing and a higher likelihood of breakage. Having said that, I'm still of the mindset that they should be driven, they are art, yes, but they're also tools that should be used. I bought a car recently that had 18k miles on it from 2015, in the last 6 months I've put another 7k on (would be more but I'm in England and we're still on lockdown, I am planning a drive of about 2k when I can though). TLDR: High cost per mile in comparison to 'normal' cars. Still should be driven IMO

I think I'd rather have a pink bentley than the slr too. You can basically replace the whole bentley for the price of the brakes (just parts) on the slr.

Ed's got the right idea of product placement and sponsorship here with the Gloss It. No BS, just being open and clear about the relationship, and making it part of his larger story of the car. I knew I was watching an ad, but for the first time I didn't care.
This by far has given me the most motivation to one-day own this exact car, SLR being my second ultimate dream car and having a massive crush on Paris hilton and lindsey lohan as a kid ,this is goals for me

Popularity increases people's desire to see your equipment, and the harder you try to limit it, the more fuss will be made when you inevitably fail.

The McLaren SLR was the first supercar I saw as a kid, in a trip to a really fancy beach city in Uruguay. I was so overwhelmed by its batmobile look, long hood and weird doors that when, later that week, I saw a Ferrari 360 (remember, second time I saw a 'supercar') I was like "hm, yeah, I guess a Ferrari is cool". Always wanted an SLR since that moment, no matter the reliability concerns 😂

The SLR Hammond drove was an upgraded version, it was a 722 edition about a race that started at 7:22 for some strange reason. That makes them almost two times the price. But the 722 is much faster than stock.

I was so overwhelmed by its batmobile look, long hood and weird doors that when, later that week, I saw a Ferrari 360 (remember, second time I saw a 'supercar') I was like "hm, yeah, I guess a Ferrari is cool". The SLR Hammond drove was an upgraded version, it was a 722 edition about a race that started at 7:22 for some strange reason. That makes them almost two times the price. But the 722 is much faster than stock.
