I just recently bought this mic arm, the upper arm doesn't stop at +5 degrees up, you just have it wrong way round.
The plastic cable cover is supposed to be on the bottom, not the top, if you look at the box it even displays that.

Bought this arm since only a low profile would work with my dual monitors main being 32 in on gas arms love it have 0 complaints about it

I bought it from them using their Ali express store, and have 2 issues:
1. I asked for the black version, they sent me the white version. I askedf for a replacement, they asked me for an "unboxing" clip - long after I've already opened and install it. They simply ignored the pictures I've sent.
2. A major issue is that the Mic mount itself - is not 90 degrees, and it's always tilting, and nothing can be done about it

I may try something. Elgato sells parts and I wonder if you can buy the ball mount for their mic arms. If so, it should fit on this. Kinda defeats the purpose of buying this, but I am willing to try it and I'll let you know. It is something I'm not crazy about either with how I currently use it.

This is a great explanation, thank you! I'm trying to figure out if it would work upside down, I have a shelf above my station I'm thinking to clamp a mic boom to. Think it'd work? I'm not clear how the arm is held to the clamp.
