I know Metra is doing a lot of work on stations and infrastructure. Just last week, a new station on the UP North opened in the Edgewater neighborhood. Peterson/Ridge is the station. I also know there has been a lot of work on the Milwaukee District North Line as well. A new bridge is being put in on Milwaukee Avenue, and new track, and lots of other things.

Yes , it will add on the third track and new platforms! It will take months to complete! According to Metra
