+Corrie Herriman thanks Corrie, I've been using them again today doing some printing and I've got to say I think I'm hooked! I'm going to have to get more! 😂 I love some of the colours in the range and I'm really impressed with the quality!
This is beautiful! I've only just found you and am SO enjoying your videos! These beautiful dragonflies make me think of Aristotle's quote, "In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous~ " But then I love Peter Pan's quote, "Think of the happiest things. It's the same as having wings." TFS!
Like this a lot! Can I just give you a tip? There is a dabbed by Ranger filled with embossing ink that allows you to put embossing ink in small spaces or large ones... I find it really handy.
+Bettina van der Jagt thanks Bettina. You can also use embossing pens too but for this video I thought I would show this technique as it is one of my favourites!
Hi Kim, this is a fabulous technique, I need to have a go with it. I really like the Amsterdam standard acrylics as well as the pebeo studio acrylics. I have been using them for a while now with my gel press plates, especially the dyna ones which have iridescent sparkle in!! You know me and my love for sparkle and shine!! LOL
+Nicki Rochelle guess what I just bought? A bunch of the DYNAs! I haven't got them yet, still waiting for them to get here, but I so fell in love with the sparkly colors 😂 can't wait to try them! 😂😂
Kim Dellow lol great minds and all that !!!😹😹😹 I've been using them since I got them for other uses, like on black cardstock or dark fabrics!! They work fabulously, and the iridescent colours in them are really interesting when used on dark stuff as the mica colour is what shows up so blue /green shows as green, red/blue shows as blue etc!! Great fun!
Hey Kim, I acquired this stamp and die and have used it a few times. Very pretty. "spread your wings" comes to mind! Too corny???? Love the simplicity of this, but a lovely finish to it. X
+Karen Toms it is really pretty isn't it? I can see that it is going to be really useful 😁 Spread your wings is lovely. Thank you for the suggestion. I have the hardest time adding words to journal pages!
Hi Kim, I love Amsterdam paints. Since they are more expensive I have the fluorescents. The pink is my faveorite. Beautiful pages. How about Fly on one page and Free on the other?
Hiya Shelly, Do you mean the MISTI stamp positioning tool that I use to stamp the dragonfly on the vellum? If so then yes definitely! All you need to do is put the stamp on an acrylic block as usual then line up the stamp over your die-cut shape by eye when you stamp it. I use a MISTI because I just find it a lot easier but you can totally do it without the MISTI.
Ah got ya! Nope these ones are fine as they are. But I have had ones where the paper is thinner and I've stuck pages together but I prefer not to if possible.
Hello Kim. Following my comment over on IG (@carolinesjbrand, incase you have no idea who this is, waffling away. Lol).... I really enjoy listening to you, aside from great instructions, you make me laugh too. As for your page(s) & a title, it's a personal thing to you, how you see it & any feelings evoked. However, you did ask so.... Perhaps a tad cheeky but for me, I like the simplicity as is but there's also an option to add to it later. The first words I thought of are on a stamp I have. Fitting both with continuing the page & dragonflies' destination "My Journey Has Only Just Begun......" Yep, the stamp even has the '.......' at the end. Hey, it's irrelevant what I suggest, it's YOUR page, YOUR "journey". All the texture from gesso & embossing is Cool, can never have enough texture, right? Look forward to the flip through your other pages, always inspiring. & I think I NEED this dragonfly set😃. Tyfs. Caroline🌸😺
+inspiredcaroline24 hey Caroline *wave* 😁 Nice idea on the sentiment, I like it, all suggestions are needed and wanted! 😂😂 I am truly useless at the wordy stuff! I'm storing all the ideas up for more work! And isn't the dragonfly a nice stamp? It's one of those really useful for a lot of things one isn't it?! I know, sorry not trying to enable 😂😂🎨
Kim Dellow you’re entirely welcome indeed. Paltry compensation for the delight of your channel. I may never be an artist, but I *do* fancy myself a reasonably fair writer... :-)
I love this technique - and I even have that stamp set and haven’t used it yet! Shame on me. You always think outside of the box. Being fairly obvious, you could put chunks of poetry about flight and dreams on it - how about ‘we are such stuff as dreams are made of’ it’s Shakespeare and possibly a misquote, but hey, no one will notice :) xxx
+Ruth Andrews - Crafting While the Baby Naps ooooo! I love the Shakespeare quote idea! My brain just doesn't do words 🤣 I like that! Thanks Ruth. It's a nice dragonfly isn't?
"Be the wings of your dreams"... 😊 Beautiful work!
+Candida oh that is lovely! Thanks Candida.
Love this page!!! And how beautifully these embossing powders blend together!! TFS!! xxx
Thank you Katerina. I do like this technique, it is really fun to see what colours you can blend together!
Love all your videos!always easy to follow and understand, and beautiful!
+Karine Sackney ahh thanks Karine! I'm glad you are enjoying them!
I love my gelli plate and use it mostly with the Amsterdam Acrylic paints. They are fantastic for mono printing... Love these pages ! Corrie xx

Thank you Cathie!

Beautiful!!
Thank you 💖😘

+Suz E Ooo! Nice thanks for the suggestion!
If you don’t have a machine is there any other way to do this with the dragonfly?

"what if I fall?". "oh but my darling, what if you fly!?"
Love it! Fab idea for the wording! Thank you!
Do you glue down two ones together?
It's been a long time since I made this video so I'm not sure what you might be asking or what I did! Sorry!
Sorry I meant the pages! But then I saw that you use flyers so wasn’t sure if you glue down two pages to get it thicker 😊❤️
Ah got ya! Nope these ones are fine as they are. But I have had ones where the paper is thinner and I've stuck pages together but I prefer not to if possible.

Words: Friends of the air find home anywhere (a reference to the bee honeycomb being visited by a dragonfly)
Oh I love that! That is a great suggestion and it tells a lovely story too. Thank you!
