Sometimes after starting a job, I really question my sanity. This one is one of those jobs. I was speaking with the local postman a few jobs ago, and he recommended this yard and said it was well out of control and overgrown. Let me tell you, he wasn't wrong. Initially, when I went around to have a look, I passed on this job, and it went into the “too hard” basket! After a couple of more drives past, I decided to give it a try. I soon realise that I had made a terrible mistake. It was an absolute nightmare to complete. As you can see, it has years of growth over it - trees, blackberries, wood, rubbish, some type of vine, off cuts, a real disaster! I spoke to the neighbour, and he said that he had been there for 6 years and this section hadn't really been touched in any significant way. I thought that I could get it done in an episode, but Easter and the weather had something to say about that, so it will be completed in 2 parts. All up, this job took me around 8 hours to complete, with 3 trips to the landfill included (close to a tonne). This is part 2 of 2.

To see an entire property get cleaned up from front to back would be epic. Many of us would watch all the episodes but we are not the ones doing this grueling work. You really do need some one with a machine to assist a project like this. Fanatastic job so far. God bless

It's hard to believe how bright the driveway has become, there's now space for 2 cars. I think it's good that you've cut everything away, even if it's going to sprout again soon. Nice implementation, I like it.
Yes, this is a real disaster. It's hard to imagine what's in the backyard... I think that to completely restore the yard you need several hands and at least a week of daily work. One person, even if it is the heroic George, cannot do all this. But, of course, the work done is simply fantastic! Greetings from Finland, where more than 10 cm of snow fell yesterday!

George, this is a very trying task, clearing up an absolute jungle. Someone commented on Flawless Cleaning UK, I watch them too and they take on some shocking jobs but there are two plus when trees need felling plus other repairs more people come on board, whilst you are the Lone Ranger. I love your thoroughness, you clear away all the rubbish as well as the garden detritus.

I agree!! One thing from an English language nerd- “exorbitant” usually is only used for negative things. Like: this costs way too much money = the price is exorbitant. I don't know her situation but it would a miracle for her if you could find some other people to help you clean the rest of her yard. It would be an immense job but would give her such a boost. It would take years for it to grow up like that again. Or maybe she could afford to pay for maintenance once it's cleaned up. Anyway, bless you for helping her with the driveway.

Golly, this is a huge task for one man with a shovel to dig through all that. George, you are amazing. But for the sake of your body, I agree with some, collab with someone with equipment that can enter, to remove as near as possible that small white structure.

I am not sure what more you could have done without a mini excavator and a mulching head plus 3 more people helping you.
