Bro buju made a wrong move but you are making it sound worse it was a case of entrapment. Buju was approached by a columbian guy who befriended him and ask Buju if he had any links because he wanted to buy some coke. Buju linked him up with two guys in miami who sold that stuff and he showed up with the columbian guy at the first meeting to introduce them, that is when he made the mistake to taste it.
After that he was out of the picture when the purchase was made but got arrested, turned out that his columbian friend worked for the feds and was paid 50k for the conviction of Buju and all this time the feds was following and recording everything. Because he claimed that he was entrapped and refuse to take a plea deal he was given 10 years while the drug dealers got 3 years and came out in two.

The man without sin caste the first stone. The man do the crime and done his time, he choose not to say anything on the matter. What do want to hear him say? At least he did not waste his time in prison going on social media making a nuisance of himself.

I am afraid u do not understand why we no longer rate him. Buju for all intent and purposes became a rastafari(somewhat like pastor) and that position made him a moral leader in our community. He sang songs promoting weed over coke, songs against pedophilia, songs about rainbow people etc. but was caught tasting and passing coke as "good coke". Him going to prison doesn't excuse that he broke the code of being a faith/moral leader. How a man who is tasting and selling coke is going to sing songs against people who do wrongs in society when he is just like them? How? He didn't have the humility to apologize to those who looked up to him and changed their lives because of him. Until then, he gets no respect from me. Him going to jail only paid for his crimes it doesn't fix his character.

Buju does not need to give anyone any explanations. He is human, and no human being is perfect. He paid for his crime, and so now, moving forward, his purpose is to give us music. Music is therapy, so maybe by listening to his music that he puts out with an open mind and heart, you may get to hear his testimony that you seek Gargamel's way, not yours.

ALL artists have ppl that look up to them and follow what they do btw.
And why must he take “Accountability” for his mistakes and set a better example through doing interviews to clear up tings when Kartel is still in prison releasing content in his music like Violence (with murder charges), Promoting Bleaching, and etc?
Buju is a human being and we all make mistakes. He aint God!
The only ppl that need to take accountability and apologize are R. Kelly & Vybz Kartel as their situation is WORST than Cocaine Conviction.
This video release at a TERRIBLE time when the man is selling out big time venue shows in the US for over 10years.

Biggest hypocrite in Reggae, and that’s saying something, cuz there’s a whole lot of hypocrites in Reggae. Makes the whole concept look shaky. Most Reggae artists can’t even agree and live by their own lyrics. You’re right, for him to not address the elephant in the room is disgusting. But it’s also disgusting that people look at Reggae artists as some kind of beacon of light. People look in all the wrong places for God. Big up for being the only public commentator willing to touch this topic. I think it’s worse than what you describe still, but you covered the most crucial points.

Yet, you made a video like this about Buju. Buju is a man, why are you looking for perfection in an imperfect human being. We all do wrongs, small or large. The same grace you gave to Spice you should also give to your brother. Did you ever did any research on Buju to find out what led him to go down that path? you should, then you would understand that when a man is desperate and dem back is against the wall, they will deviate from their true self and do things that will dishonor themselves to survive. Don’t be so quick to judge a man unless you were in their shoes facing the same circumstances, you yourself don’t know what you would do to survive and feed your family. Bless up.

You saw a video and concluded it was drugs, but were you there to test it and confirm what he put in his mouth was drugs? How many people in America have been wrongfully convicted and imprisoned? We are living in a world now where we start to believe everything we see on a video

The Central Park Five were wrongfully convicted of a crime and served sentences ranging from five to thirteen years before their exoneration, which officially absolved them of any blame or fault. So, what you are saying is that once a person is convicted, they are considered guilty, even though there are instances where wrongful convictions occur and the person is later found to be innocent.
