This is definitely among my top 2 or 3 Angelina performances. If you listen to it mindfully the texture, the tone, all the beautiful little subtleties, really bring this performance to life. I laughed when you couldn’t make it past the 4th bar before pausing. I did the exact same thing (and I wasn’t filming a reaction video). It’s the transition from this cute, happy go lucky preteen smiling and waving hi to everyone... to seeing her lose herself within the song, with this beautiful, incredibly mature voice and these perfect tones and soul piercing textures, the subtle rolling vibrato… It took me three or four listens of the opening just to be able to process that juxtaposition.

Really liked your reaction. I’m a recent discoverer of Angelina and have started looking at other singers her age who have much bigger followings. I’m not sure why that is. I can’t help but think that Angelina is so much better than any of them and deserving of the biggest following. I know her parents have tried to keep her out of the money pit as long as possible and I applaud them for that but it just seems inevitable that if if she wants to be a huge worldwide star she will be. I think the main reason that other artists have larger followings, is because they have large promotional machines behind them. Angelina is still (after all the work she has done) an independent artist. There is no label backing. Aside from NGT and AGT, there has been no commercial promotion of her. Everyone who hears her knows that she will be huge someday.... and everyone that gets to know her personality and story is very ok with her taking it slowly. Nobody wants to see this one get corrupted by the music industry. I never really hear about that concern with other young singers... Diana, Daneliya, even Grace. I think when people see what a special heart Angelina has, they feel it should be protected for as long as possible. Also she was better, at a younger age than any of those others.

The masses of textures and flavors Angelina pulls out of her chest in this song is just mind boggling. Lana Del Rey is a great singer, but she's nowhere near Angelina when it comes to make a song interesting. The phrasing, dynamic changes, little melismas, vibratos and not least, *all that soul* Angelina puts in to every song she sings always makes her fascinating and as you say: - it's impossible to get bored when listening to her.
She is a super intelligent, musical genius, to be able to remember and sing all the verses to over 152 songs,and never miss a note. Watch her at a outdoor concert at age 10, where she sings non stop for over a hour with just a few sips of water from a bottle she keeps by her feet. Most 10 year old's are just getting over playing with dolls, and learning how to use a IPod.

Angelina is 12 here, and I agree, this song is a bit monotonic. And a lot of that is in the lower range of the head voice. So I was never a fan, even when Lana sang it (she now has about a third of a billion views on YT). But I do prefer Angelina's version. That said, I do love Lana's performance of "Born to Die", (almost half a billion views on YT) most of which is in the lower range of the chest voice. But WOW!, Angelina's cover of this song is INCREDIBLE!! It is one of my favorite performances by Angelina. Really liked your reaction. I’m a recent discoverer of Angelina and have started looking at other singers her age who have much bigger followings. I’m not sure why that is. I can’t help but think that Angelina is so much better than any of them and deserving of the biggest following. I know her parents have tried to keep her out of the money pit as long as possible and I applaud them for that but it just seems inevitable that if if she wants to be a huge worldwide star she will be. I think the main reason that other artists have larger followings, is because they have large promotional machines behind them. Angelina is still (after all the work she has done) an independent artist. There is no label backing. Aside from NGT and AGT, there has been no commercial promotion of her. Everyone who hears her knows that she will be huge someday.... and everyone that gets to know her personality and story is very ok with her taking it slowly. Nobody wants to see this one get corrupted by the music industry. I never really hear about that concern with other young singers... Diana, Daneliya, even Grace. I think when people see what a special heart Angelina has, they feel it should be protected for as long as possible. Also she was better, at a younger age than any of those others.

The masses of textures and flavors Angelina pulls out of her chest in this song is just mind boggling. Lana Del Rey is a great singer, but she's nowhere near Angelina when it comes to make a song interesting. The phrasing, dynamic changes, little melismas, vibratos and not least, *all that soul* Angelina puts in to every song she sings always makes her fascinating and as you say:
- it's impossible to get bored when listening to her.
She is a super intelligent, musical genius, to be able to remember and sing all the verses to over 152 songs,and never miss a note. Watch her at a outdoor concert at age 10, where she sings non stop for over a hour with just a few sips of water from a bottle she keeps by her feet. Most 10 year old's are just getting over playing with dolls, and learning how to use a IPod.

Angelina is 12 here, and I agree, this song is a bit monotonic. And a lot of that is in the lower range of the head voice. So I was never a fan, even when Lana sang it (she now has about a third of a billion views on YT). But I do prefer Angelina's version. That said, I do love Lana's performance of "Born to Die", (almost half a billion views on YT) most of which is in the lower range of the chest voice. But WOW!, Angelina's cover of this song is INCREDIBLE!! It is one of my favorite performances by Angelina.
