As a Leo, I could not be more thrilled on how she turned out. I was especially excited to see the kintsugi because the concept of taking what’s broken, and not only repairing it, but also choosing to accentuate the scars instead of hide them means so much to me. She’s a powerful sun goddess and she knows and absolutely kills it!
Also a Leo, this is the best and least cliche Leo representation I’ve ever seen. It’s got the strong lion imagery without being too on the nose I love it so much
Literally same, I feel SO accurately represented! Especially with the more muscular body type, love that Leon ended up choosing that prompt! Love everything about this doll SO MUCH❤
I'm honestly so glad you did a muscular female doll! I feel like there isn't enough good rep of muscular women. I think you did a great job, she looks beautiful and fierce and it's a wonderful and unique interpretation of leo! Also, for Virgo, maybe a mexican or greco-roman inspired look?
The Virgo constellation might have been Ishtar and/or Astarte in ancient Babylon. It would be cool to incorporate Babylonian art styles and maybe even give her wings like these ancient goddesses. From there it would be cool to use the greens/nature the sign is associated with to incorporate serpent themes, so a bit Quetzlcoatl
Yess. I’m worried about what options they have bc virgo is usually a maiden which is a little bland for this challenge you know? So I love where you are going with this
As a leo I absolutely love her!! I love the onyx take instead of peridot! Barb, a good way to work with glitter fabric is to spray a thin layer of hairspray on it before sewing, it still sheds but not as badly and is easier to manage. I used to dance and we would always spray our costumes lol
@@samm4158 not the same person but also a dancer, i promise i've never burst into flames while wearing something glittery. (Or pointe shoes. you often spray the ribbons to keep them from coming untied)
For Virgo I think you should take some inspo from the older iterations, like for the sumerians she was a deity of harvest and knowledge (businesswoman or botanist?) . Generally Virgo is associated with many female deities (Isis,Ceres, Ishtar even Virgin Mary sometimes) most of them are either love or plant associated
I've seen a few people mention it so I also want to throw in having a boy doll for Virgo!! That would automatically make it wildly different from every other interpretation ( I am one of the virgos who is tired of just "white long haired lady" lol). And it would be a lovely compliment for this doll, a masc/muscular lady, to have a femme/lithe lad :) No matter what you do, I'm sure I'll love it! Every doll you make is knocked out of the park, and better than the last! My favorite part of this doll is the little detail of the blue claws/nails 💙
Wonderful! Love the mods to make her more muscular! Yall always make beautiful dolls & I'm always so impressed with dolls outside of the common thin bodyshape. More body diversity!! Can't wait to see what y'all come up with next!
Leo is absolutely gorgeous! she’s so ethereal and powerful, im hella impressed! im a Virgo myself, so i can’t wait for the next doll:)) since Virgo is a harvest maiden, maybe the doll could be a farmer of sorts? might be a bit on the nose tho lol
for virgo i think being like the little sister of the series would be super cute, maybe like dryad or tree-elf like? absolutely love how everyone is turning out!
Every single zodiac doll completely blows me away, they're all so beautiful! A suggestion for virgo would be a viking theme/Nordic gods, like a shield maiden since virgo is 'the maiden'. There's both Valkyries and lots of female gods! There's also a lot of maiden type creatures in folklore, like nymphs or the huldra ✨ Another suggestion if you want the "virgin" aspect of youth, fertility (I don't know a better less creepy word, I hope you understand what I mean) and status, is royal paintings and fashion from years 1500-1700, which also crosses over in the territory of christian iconography and art, such as saints and stained glass art, which could be pretty cool! And final suggestion is to make her old, something rarely seen for virgo. A kind and wise old woman full of stories
I LOVE how she turned out! I personally love kintsugi, it shows the life and history of a piece rather than trying to erase it. It’s great symbolism for reimagining your past trauma in a beautiful, empowering light
It looks so good!!! I thought onyx was an interesting take though. The traditional stone for August/Leo is Peridot and Carnelian. While I was looking forward to a green doll, what y’all did was amazing!
The resin and gold powder is actually a bit similar to actual kintsugi. Gold itself isn't used to hold the items together, rather a gold powder is dusted on top of the resin or lacquer that binds the pieces.
Honestly, I didn't think I was gonna comment, but seeing her broad shoulders really made me happy. Even if I'm not build like a body builder my chest is very wide and I've always been so insecure of it. Seeing a doll that has my wide broad shoulders and her still being feminine really made me smile and want to cry. Thank you so much!
I think there's this trend in modern playline dolls and resin bjds to make very small shoulders and chest, flat belly and huge hips. We want some more diverse silhouettes!
21:55 I just love that at a certain angle, she looks like she's blind in one eye. it really gives off like an "I've just got done with a fight, so don't make me angry" vibe
Oh gosh she's stunning, so glad you made a muscular lady it was a good choice ^^ For prompts how about ghost, genie, sweets/desserts, retro, warrior, hacker, fantasy ballgown, big hair
I'm really happy that while gold is used, it is not... a reigning color. As a Leo myself, I've gotten sort of tired of the horoscope being constantly associated with 'leader type', 'gold', 'sun', bla bla bla... This version of Leo is so... refreshing. Thank you very much.
I HAVEN'T FINISHED WATCHING BUT I'M SO EXCITED!! I'm a Leo and I don't really fit into or vibe with the confident self-serving materialistic image that Leo's are seen with, so a stoic looking kintsugi Leo feels much nicer. She seems gentle and has been through struggles and I think that's a better take on Leo 💛
For the virgo design, I think it would be a good idea to base it on the lotus flower, because lotuses emerge from the mud without stains, they are often seen as a symbol of purity, another meaning of the lotus flower is transcendence, reaching a higher state of being. that could reflect the perfectionist side of virgo, like trying to perfect one self
She looks like an absolute GODDESS (like my Leo sweetheart) I adore all of your zodiac dolls that you've done so far and have high hopes for Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces Never stop being amazing 💙
As a Leo, i absolutely adore her! It’s so interesting because the tarot card Strength is connected to Leo, it’s a woman sitting together with a lion and this doll reminds me so much of the card. The cracks that have been mended and the physical strength in the muscles, absolutely gorgeous
The way you both take such care with your representation of everyone in “your little art corner” is one of the reasons I adore you guys. Your channel really is one of my favorite things
Perfect how the cat is even named Leon ❤ so cute! The doll turned out amazing, she looks like a strong goddess! I have a skirt with glitter fabric, too. I shed glitter everywhere when I wear it 🙃
i absolutely LOVE this doll! As a leo, we are known to be confident and born leaders. I like your take on the masculine prompt, and the kingsuti really brings out the gold, and it makes sense, since we tend to hold into our emotions until we break. She looks like a baddie sun godess that just fell from heaven. Luv yall ❤
Leon you’re beautiful!!❤🐾 Have to admit, this is one of my favorite transformations you’ve done this far! My zodiac is Pisces, can’t wait to see what you two come up with for a design!
I'm late to the game to watch this but I love her! The way you chose the prompts was too cute. I have a kintsugi tattoo so anything inspired by that art form will always have my heart. For me, it represents that even with my own insecurities and mental health and the like, I am still a beautiful creation. I love that you didn't just paint the gold but instead, carved in the marks! It added such a wonderful definition to the body
This is sooooooooo beautiful. I'm glad that there's finally a muscular female doll representative. And having kintsugi for Leo is like match made in heaven!!! Hopefully and I'm sorry, Virgo will be a male doll since it's always female. I know Virgo is really meant Female but it would be interesting to see a Male Virgo. It would be first, i would say. Thank you for this!!!
As a Leo First off I love her!! But at first I didn't think I was going to. wen the masculine card was picked I was skeptical on how this would look but if u think about lions even female lions r still these strong animals so it actually fits more then I thought it would. Her eyes actually remind me of dollightfuls eveluton doll ( the yellow one) n I love that.i was trying to figure out y the blue but it's like the sky with all the yellow representing the sun that was a nice detail.and the cracks in her skin with the gold r jus so beautiful 😍. Over all I love her n I love how u guys put her together ❤❤ keep up the hard work❤️and have an enchanted day🌌☀️♌
I love how your Leo doll turned out! I think she really represents the sign's energy super well! I have some suggestions for prompts for Virgos! Virgos are the "pure" sign but they're also very practical and perfectionist. So things like Angel, Professor, Lamb, Symmetry/ Balance, Minimalism, Dove, Rain/ rainbows, Lotus, Butterfly, and general themes of nature apply really well here. Also it's so funny that people associate virgos with long hair because every virgo I've ever met has had a bob cut, pixie cut, or really short hair of some kind. So I think aiming for a short hairstyle would look great for the lineup but also really work for Virgo energy!
I'm not even a Leo and this is probably my favourite doll of the series so far! She just looks so powerful and majestic, but also like, serene in a way. She's got the chill, almost lazy vibes of a lion lounging around down pat!
As a Leo, I am very happy at the result of this doll. It’s probably my favorite zodiac doll that you’ve done so far! And it’s not because it’s Leo, I just really love the aesthetic
She looks gorgeous and I am so excited to see your interpretation of the remaining ones. I totally hope you break with the standards of the regular looks of each sign
I think to fulfill the "earthy" quality of Virgo, you could do a doll drawing inspiration from an Indigenous tribe (First Nations/Native American, Maori, Aboriginal, Aztecs, etc.).
Shockingly beautiful. Just beyond gorgeous. I lived in South Africa for a while in my early 20s and you definitely captured the strength and grace of the big cats in this Leo. Just lovely. Also you should get a pet cat because they’re the best.
This may be my favorite doll you've ever done. The color combination with the muscular frame and lion features work create something so beautiful and original. Seriously, she's beautiful!
THis is gorgeous! I am all for body diversity. LOVE the buff lady look for this doll!! Can you make Virgo a Plus Sized person? Well with these dolls I realize it's a stretch but I've seen other doll artists push them to be at least thicc, so it'd be cool if Virgo, the "Beautiful One" could be another step in the direction of including lots of types.
She turned out really well! I love the kintsugi detail, and I love that you went a different route with the masculine prompt. A tip for future glitter projects: I don’t know if there is a European equivalent to Swiffer duster cloths, but if you can get some, they are amazing for cleaning up glitter.
leon is such a handsome kitty!! i actually gasped when he appeared, he's so pretty. kintsugi is a perfect prompt for a fire sign. especially with her skin tone, she's definitely giving "cracked lava/magma" vibes. all of the dolls in the zodiac series are gorgeous and fun, but i think this one is my favorite so far!!
Noticed the pins holding her hair cover out while the face details were being done totally matched the color palette for the doll!!!!! Did on purpose? I tend to match my pins w my projects!❤
Hi Alex and Barb, thank you for sharing your amazing skills and awesome creativity 🩷. I love how you’ve incorporated the Kintsugi aesthetic in the design, it really emphasises the muscular frame of the doll and she’s absolutely gorgeous 🩷
Virgo but as a terrifying creature, please. A baba yaga with chicken legs, a vampire, a biblically accurate angel… just anything other than another “virgin”
A few things: she reminds me of an Amazon warrior, and I love it! Also I like that you added some gold powder on top of the UV resin, as that's very accurate with the kintsugi process. ^_^ I've seen videos of how it's done, and the gold is always added after the cracks have been lacquered. And I LOVE that you made her dress reversible! Fantastic!
What you decided to do with the kintsugi when the first method didn't work is actually closer to how it's done in reality! It's not actually fixed with pure gold, but rather with a lacquer that's either painted or mixed with gold powder! So gold powder and resin for a doll?? Perfect choice and perfect looking results! She really turned out absolutely gorgeous and it's extremely refreshing seeing such a muscular woman allowed to be feminine and elegant~!
She turned out gorgeous! Muscular women are wonderful 😌 and the blue skirt/cape is a really cool built-in backdrop that makes the doll's main colors pop!
Every addition to this series just makes me more and more excited to see what you come up with next! The prompts have all be interpreted so beautifully, and with such creativity. I am blown away! I think Leo depicted as a strong muscular lioness with the gold kintsugi and onyx coloring came together perfectly. The addition of the heterochromia was the icing on the cake ❤. I am actually excited to see what you end up creating when you get to my sign pisces. The fish trope is way overdone and knowing the two of you, I know you will come up with something awesome. I can’t wait to see what the two prompts end up being and getting to watch the two of you create something amazing!
Wow, this might be my favourite faceup you have ever done! The kintsugi crack flowing through her eye is so incredibly beautiful Edit: also love the fact that you did not automatically go for making a male doll with the prompts you got ❤
ive always seen virgos as mildly stuck up smart people so go you could approach it from that kind of angle (dress her modest but still fashionable, like casual business attire, and give her a relaxed but calculating expression)
She turned out SO cool. I love how you actually cut into the doll for the kintsugi and didn't just paint it on. The glitter fabric gives galaxy vibes and I love it. And while her body turned out AMAZING, if you ever need to do a muscular girl again and don't want to do so much work, I suggest using DC Superhero Girls as a base.
Man, as a Leo, this is just so on point! She's amazing!! There's something so pleasing to see a physically strong female character, I'm pretty broad shouldered and strong for a girl, so she reminds me a little of me. Even the "scars" are perfect to represent a Leo's mentally, be proud of yourself, that you've overcome so much, and don't hide your true thoughts and feelings, they're nothing to be ashamed of. ♌️☀️💛
This is honestly amazing both, I love the direction the custom when in. glitter is annoying but what you made looked very elegant. the gold cracks are really interesting and the doll is fantastic, you are both truly inspirational xx
I think it is so interesting how the process you end up using to add gold to her actually closely resembles the traditional kintsugi method, very cool!
spectra was the best choice for the head, definitely!! the narrow face and strong features work so well with the lion concept. that face up is absolutely gorgeous and i love the sun motif throughout the doll
Wow! She absolutely embodies all the strength and beauty i associated with Leo! And you totally captured that "Majestic slightly bored but fierce" look!
She’s Exquisite.Just the right amount of muscle I think .I love her face paint and the gold flowing over her body. Her outfit is perfect and sets her off beautifully I really like all off her accessories too they certainly make her look very Regal.Very well thought out doll this time and I love her.Bit off being left behind when someone’s off on holiday, pergaps she ought to do the next one herself..But if she brings you back something nice ,let her off lol🥰
As a Leo, I could not be more thrilled on how she turned out. I was especially excited to see the kintsugi because the concept of taking what’s broken, and not only repairing it, but also choosing to accentuate the scars instead of hide them means so much to me. I have a lot of scars from numerous injuries and surgeries, so I really appreciate the idea behind Kitsugi and I also love animals 😊🩷
I’m a Leo to and I agree
Literally same, I feel SO accurately represented! Especially with the more muscular body type, love that Leon ended up choosing that prompt! Love everything about this doll SO MUCH❤

Yes!!!! Good job Leon. Also to Enchanterium. ❤❤
on god, that cat got some serious taste!

I’m really excited to see what they come up with 🥰

Literally serving Mother 🥵🥵 I'm in love with the "night" version of her dress, the dark blue looks so good with the gold. Chefs kiss emoji, as always.

leon is such a handsome kitty!! i actually gasped when he appeared, he's so pretty.
kintsugi is a perfect prompt for a fire sign. especially with her skin tone, she's definitely giving "cracked lava/magma" vibes. all of the dolls in the zodiac series are gorgeous and fun, but i think this one is my favorite so far!!
The reversible cloak was a stroke of genius - looks like she’s wearing either the evening or morning sky!
Noticed the pins holding her hair cover out while the face details were being done totally matched the color palette for the doll!!!!! Did on purpose? I tend to match my pins w my projects!❤
Hope you guys never stop putting out videos, watching your craft evolve is so fun!
She's gorgeous! I can't wait to see all the other zodiacs! Especially Capricorn! I also love the concept of Kintsugi, makes her stand out more
A few things: she reminds me of an Amazon warrior, and I love it! Also I like that you added some gold powder on top of the UV resin, as that's very accurate with the kintsugi process. ^_^ I've seen videos of how it's done, and the gold is always added after the cracks have been lacquered. And I LOVE that you made her dress reversible! Fantastic!
I LOVE THE THUMBNAIL ALSO THAT CAT
What you decided to do with the kintsugi when the first method didn't work is actually closer to how it's done in reality! It's not actually fixed with pure gold, but rather with a lacquer that's either painted or mixed with gold powder! So gold powder and resin for a doll?? Perfect choice and perfect looking results! She really turned out absolutely gorgeous and it's extremely refreshing seeing such a muscular woman allowed to be feminine and elegant~!
i love her
She turned out gorgeous! Muscular women are wonderful 😌 and the blue skirt/cape is a really cool built-in backdrop that makes the doll's main colors pop!
Buff lady! Buff lady! She looks absolutely beautiful, the contrast between the dark colours and the gold is so striking
I can’t wait to see what the two prompts end up being and getting to watch the two of you create something amazing!
this is so so good! the best one yet in this series in my opinion
Simply amazing how you combined so many things into a beautiful doll.
3:29 aaaa i completely forgot about the lion paws :O rewatching is such a treasure!!!
THAT BLUE GLITTER FABRIC AND THE DRESS ARE PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS MY SPRING FLING DRESS FOR SCHOOL I LOVE ITT!! ❤❤❤
Wow, this might be my favourite faceup you have ever done! The kintsugi crack flowing through her eye is so incredibly beautiful
Edit: also love the fact that you did not automatically go for making a male doll with the prompts you got ❤
Please give the Virgo glasses the virgo stereotypical Virgo is an uptight nerd and I think glasses would be a fun way to highlight that
ive always seen virgos as mildly stuck up smart people so go you could approach it from that kind of angle (dress her modest but still fashionable, like casual business attire, and give her a relaxed but calculating expression)
As someone actually familiar with the actual Kintsugi process, I’m really impressed w how you guys jerry-rigged it!
She is by far my favourite of the series so far, she just combines so many of my favourite concepts
This is a stunning doll. The concept was really creative and the end result is something special. Well done, as always.
The crown and gold accessories really bring the whole doll together!!
