I forgot to mention the agate thing! Since they are in very different colors, we decided to embrace it by making the doll more colorful than usual. I was thinking about adding agates signature stripes on the tail, but I was worried about destroying this super smooth gradient 😅 Hope you like her!

Poking fun of the way someone pronounces a word is like the easiest way to tell me you don’t speak another language other than English without telling me.
Our words can sometimes get jumbled and confusing in our own native language, so speaking a language that’s not your own makes it even harder because you don’t think in that language, you have to translate everything in your head.
People should try to choose kindness and understanding before criticizing.
Really disheartening to have your work stolen by a bigger channel :( I hope more people can find the original, because she is one of the most beautiful dolls I've ever seen!

This actually reminds me of sirens a lot! Greek myth they're bird-like, today they're usually interpreted as evil mermaids, so this feels like somewhere between the two.
For Libra: since opals are reflective and flash rainbows I would line up see lots of shimmer and unicorn tears paint!! But also subverse things and make her dark skinned and dark eyed to remind us that our dark skinned siblings shine bright too!!
And also black opals are a things, and they are so colourfull!

I really really love how you decided to use elements of both demon and angel on both dolls. I actually recently (ish) left the Mormon church and breaking away from that "good vs evil" sentiment has been difficult. It is very refreshing to see your art reflect good AND evil woven into one!!
Wow, it is astonishing to me how you can take such chaotic elements and turn them into a cohesive vision. The beginning i'm like oh man this is going to be a hot mess. At the end just in awe at how gorgeous this sculpture is. I love how you gave them the different eye shapes so they have their own vibe. Also the different sized horns are soo cute!
As a hair stylist I give your Ombre technique an A! I basically do that same thing on human hair, So if you do ever want to become a cosmetologist, you got the raw talent!

The air mermaid would have worked great as a blue/green style too! After watching avatar: the way of water, the movie shows the subtle yet obvious differences of the who tribes and I think that would be a super cool concept for a conjoined doll! I genuinely think it would be an awesome idea to make a zodiac doll inspired by greek mythology - maybe aquarius when it comes up? cup-bearers to the gods are very common in the greco roman mythos, and i think that would be fun to do some prop work for!

I am a Gemini and I am soooo happy with this doll they are so beautiful and are my favorites in the series (not just because of the Gemini part) and I'm so glad they are. Since to often there have been zodiac things and the Gemini one is a lot of the times is my least favorite/ the least cool or interesting( or just boring) but I'm ecstatic that I like this one the best.! As a Gemini, I feel this doll does so much justice to the star sign and its themes! The twins have such a beautiful colour scheme and design; they’re a new favourite for me :D
Also, thank you so much for talking about the difference between inspiration and plagiarism - I see artists' complaints about it get shot down a lot by people who don't seem to care/know about the differences :( It's a really important clarification, and it's a shame that your beautiful original dolls get ripped off. So glad you both take pride in your work to call it out though! It's important that talented artists are recognised for their ideas, and crediting them as inspiration is easy, AND the bare minimum

I think a good prompt idea would be 'disability representation', it would let you choose the disability so you still hold creative freedom over it but would also let you challenge yourselves a bit and give representation to people!

Oh, I love those horns! And I'd say it almost makes sense that the bigger horns would be facing each other, as the constant bumping could spur on their growth, like building up calluses.

Wow this design is fantastic! I really wasn't sure about the head feathers at first but then when you added the red wings it really tied it all together
wow, this is I think one of my favorite dolls you've ever made! The bold red, the light oceanic blue, and the white/black that ties them together is so fun and satisfying to look at! ♥ I also think the sculpting on the tail is just fantastic, it really elevated the whole concept. Love ya guys!
I'm blown away by the face up and paint job. The eyelashes are so perfect, the painted feathers looked so natural, and the gradient is amazing. Great job Alex!
