  • Solo cover of "Church Street Blues." This is one of my favorite songs. There are many great versions - originally written by Norman Blake, then adapted by Tony Rice and others. "Get myself a rockin' chair to see if I can lose them thin dime, hard time, hell on Church Street blues."

    Nice going, Sally Ann. Great song, and you have good taste. Blake is such a fine writer. I also like, and have learned to play by him, Ginseng Sullivan and Last Train from Poor Valley. Give them a look, if you haven't already. Cheers!

      Haha, thanks. That's how I first learned it (even on acoustic), so it's harder for me to do the simpler shape!

    Great voice, the phrasing was awkward in a couple spots but you sound great otherwise. I like how you played the melody on the bass strings but with the feel like Norman's version. Good job! :)
