Actually, parrying in this game is more difficult than Sekiro, so for the first time playing it's better to dodge, then after NG+ you can learn to parry
@@cutemqker true, it feels like there are fewer parry frames in P, and some boss movements have very little windup, so it makes parry tricky at times. Agree that dodge is valid option, but the satisfaction of pulling off a perfect guard is *chefs kiss 👌
Idk. I never parried in any games ever before picking up Lies of P. It was hella hard but I learned how to parry basically from zero and it's not a problem for me now. I only have trouble with non-stop attacks that go on forever (like Romeo's fire attack). Personally, it was easier for me to learn than to use the dodge that the game gives you.
Lies of P took me 20 hours to beat. I was embarrassed by my completion time so I didn’t tell anyone. I died like 1000 times. Then I looked up avg completion times and they’re from like 40-60 hours 😅
@@TheRealChacorta 20 hours on a first playthrough is insanely fast bruh 🫡 P was one of my first few soulslikes, I probably took like 60+ hours on my first playthrough 🥲
@ I wish I had a death counter because it had to have been over 200 deaths during my Plat Run. That stupid swamp monster took, from me, 100 of those deaths I swear. I beat Nameless puppet on my third try 🥶
How to win for beginners: - spectre - throw all the stuff you got - run away Works everytime until the game decides the spectre is too good for every boss.

I've just killed the swamp monster on my 3rd attempt, and I was parrying instead of dodging. And this is my first souls-like game
@@raid1010 Hell yeah! I also killed it on my third try with parries.
@@ОлегВысоков-л8й Fak yea man! My go to build is fast aka technique, running the tyrant dagger and such
More no damage runs!!!! 🎉
