Congrats on the 10K! Your story telling and videography are fantastic. I couldn't believe how "flat" the Alta chutes looked on the GoPro Max. That run is WAY steeper than it looked on video. While you didnt get the JH pow, you did get a great day of skiing with even better sightseeing.
Great vlog on what a normal day of skiing looks like! Snow looked soft and hardly any moguls in the bowl and that view when weather is clear amazing! I feel like vertical at JH is deceptively longer than it appears and legs put in lots of work during a day’s skiing
Fast and hard in Jackson wears on your legs so much... 100mm tops wide skis and sticking to moguls is your recipe for not terribly burned out legs. Also, getting "The Stick" or something similar super helps. In these conditions my favorite thing is to lap Apre Vou at speed until the ski patrol puts a kibash on that. You can lay down killer trenches and it is just such a mellow run.
Yes Jackson is a special place!! This 70+ year old southern Illinoisan hopes for at least 1 more shot at the view that you also love so well, Grand Teton from out by the airport!! Another great video!! Being unable to ski the past few years has been brutal but watching your videos with simple things like the sounds of creeky cold dry snow and hardpack edges...I almost get my jacket on! And love the Max 360 shots. How I wish I would have had a tool like that 5-10 years ago.
Nice video dude congrats on 10k! Ski patrol usually closes the cooler leading up to Kings and Queens of Corbets to let it fill in for the big sends. Lived out there last winter and a they usually try to mitigate it getting too skied out around this time

Been to Jackson a couple times thou it's been years ago. Still one of my favorites for the views! Stood at the top of Corbets and watched my buddy drop in. I couldn't at the time, Ha! Thinking it was about a 10 ft drop then. Is it more or less now? Congrats on the 10k, the channel has really blown up fast. Always enjoy the vids....puts me there when I'm not!
Jackson is a sick mountain though it's had a very below average season this year. When you get it in all time conditions it offers some of the best skiing on the planet. I have been there when they got 2 metres in two weeks and it was insane. Its got a great side country which is very easy to get into. Whenever you get the chance you should go to Revy and Kicking horse they got massive vertical and conditions are all time right now. I know its a long way from Utah and difficult to get to because of COVID though a good option in later seasons.

I think they might have closed corbets because of king in queens and the like a lot of snow pile up before that I don’t know why if that’s not the case
I think you can get 100k within a year. just an idea I’d consider creating a long-term in depth review on your jj’s. I know lots of people know you ride them but maybe it’d be useful even to me to know exactly what you like or don’t like. your crushing it man!

ill try! black runs are typically much more steeper than blue runs and are a lot more prone to forming moguls which can be difficult to ski for some people. its not rare for blue runs to be groomed, while black runs are really never groomed!
