Looks like you have the D2 tool steel version of the Okluma. I would recommend keeping it oiled, to prolong its life like you would on a d2 steel knife or any other non stainless/chromed tools in your toolbox. Looks like it’s starting to rust. Patina on brass and copper is not really the same thing as rust on steel especially cause you mention that you want it to be a buy it for life light.
It’s also good to prevent rust to maintain its value if you ever plan to sell to upgrade to titanium or buy a different flashlight.

You should do a vid showing the watch collection and one thing you mentioned in one of your videos a while back, you said you switch your lenses on your JMMs from prescription to normal lenses and vice versa, I was wondering how that would be since there are no videos anywhere of how to switch lenses for JMM glasses on YB.
For sure! I try to buy sunglasses then i get prescriptions and i ask for the sunglasses lenses back. When I’m done with the prescription i go back and have them do it.
