Monarchs is a deck I respect, just because so many things now don't recognize the special summon vs normal summon clause until it's pummeling them in the face. 3:31 Called by is one of my favorite generic magic cards. not because of countering monster handtraps, but just the amount of things it can fizzle. from effect clausing to smacking monster retreival and revival cards and forcing functional negations there. also, Pantheism is a great example of non-opt effects. 4:31 Storm forth is one of those cards that is just mean in the best possible way. non-targeting non-destructive removal of this type always makes me laugh. there's a reason Kaiju and I get along. 7:05 you love the -ira engine. dare i ask what you think of the latest banlist? I get the feeling we can go well back and forward on that... delightful... thing. blech. also, running Ogre of all things in this? my inner tribute player is shaking their head at you. 23:07 darkness metal is sick, just because you can summon any dragon from the hand OR graveyard. a good extender. 25:11 monarchs erupt. monarchs erupt. escalation is fine and all, but Erupt is so good i keep a playset just for when im particularly annoyed and run true draco.

I must say it’s very enjoyable, today I’ve actually been running a few games with Erupt and Grace of the super ancient organism. Those cards really buffed the deck out even more for me. I’m actually happy about the ban list overall, I’ve never been a Kash player really. Like in this deck I can put fenrir to one and be fine, Orge is awesome with Fenrir because it gives me a plus one that actually has 2800 and 1000 def plus the ability to see what my opponent is playing and banish one card. I really wish they hit branded and the bystials with this new ban list as well. Also if they hit more dragon link that would be even better lol. Anything that can slow a 25 minute turn would be appreciated lol. How are you feeling about the latest hit on Runick? When is enough enough 😂? I guess the stun decks were really ruling in the duelist cup.

Im honestly between resigned "whatever" and angry at this banlist. lets count the ways. Card of Demise and the desires/duality hit- I just hate reduction of generic draw in this game. I don't even run most of these cards in most situations, but i hate when generic draw or consistency gets hit, just because it makes older decks run less effectively in the crossfire. does this partially also have to do with me also running duality and demise in Runick? yes. yes it does. the ira hits of Fenrir and Birth. I hate it because im something of a deck purist, and this makes pure ira less consistent because of the generic power of the ira splash. im more mad I made them after recognizing how good they were in things like gate guardian, so im getting a really bad RoI personally on them after gate guardian not panning out for me. i intentionally avoided the pack, until it got hit for the exact thing i relented to use it for. funny thing though- people screaming ban Maxx C or Ash never point to their use rate when you can definitely argue Fenrir got hit for being a self-searchable Pank 2.0. with a very high use rate. maybe it's because the real benefit of Fenrir at 2 was yet more ash bait. D-link hits- they mean little, they'll find a new path, but I don't like Chaos ruler getting hit at this point. It didn't help i was thinking of using it in a Skull Servant deck, until I realized the longer i play the more I dislike synchro and began backing off the idea. Purrely hits- oh hey! you all can join me in being crippled by lack of consistency in sheer weight of names being removed while your still waiting for your most recent support card/s. well done. not feeling any sense of comraderie really since they'd chew up my M/T for lunch and then sweep a key card of mine off the board in multiple deck variants. Floodgates- honestly, Meh. haven't used tcboo/kaiser/Synchro zone/Boarder yet. all this did was remind me they existed for the 10th time, and to consider decking the remaining kaiser or Synchro zone I will have, because... Runick destruction- oh **** off. where did this specific hit come from? lab players in MD's dev team being mad at Runick when they often enough can wipe a Runick players entire hand AND board plus multiple upcoming draws with one EEV in response (searchable by trap tracks)? what did an MST with a Banish 4 clause specifically do. this doesn't just hit some stun player claimed degenerate for the strat, this hurts every single Runick build, not just for the lost backrow utility, but also for yet another name being lost to recover cards, which unlike Purrely when their monster gets outed, we have to try to draw back over time instead of get grave retrieved to hand. heck, if anything it helps stun builds more. for the variants treating runick mostly as a instant fusion-like archetype (which is NOT how i want to use the deck since the best mill option is either this, empty jar, or Mayakashi mill that i know of...), they'll replace the card with a far less useful copy of the other runick cards. for me? my option is floodgates or what scraps of generic card draw still exist, since im sure not running desires with all of the forced 2 of's, one fountain, and one destruction and i maxed out on all the quickplay runick names when the deck released. pure Runick minus floods been dead for awhile, now I see little other option since i despise synchro piles, which is about all the decks good for and apparently should be used a certain playerbase online. If i wanted to do combo synchro, there's a new one of those every year to play bare minimum. Konami may as well cut the crap and ban fountain at this rate. this banlist reminded me there's little point in this game playing anything half-measure, and you should just swing as hard as you can muster. if what you play is unliked, it will be heaped on and if konami eventually agrees, they will join in with the kicks to thunderous applause. I was being "cute" with Toll Hike -dimensional fissure, and running the huge revolution is over as panic defenses, trying to go for a mid-high tempo mill and not be the dreaded "stun" player while trying to play Runick the way i prefer. I never ran the big floods, but i still ate every single hit and then some. so fine, guess it's gonna take longer for everyone when/if i decide to still play it, since im out a bunch of card draw im not about to dump 90 UR on upstart goblin for no good result just yet to deckthin. at least this isn't pokemon TCG, where the best mill is utterly random, and the most competitive deck out build is the closest thing they have to crooked cook stall. my prediction for what the ladder will look like is a lot more labrynth (favored child), mathmech (dependent on bystial variants), Bystials/branded (the other favored child) and VS (unhittable yet), with the new Superheavy samurai making waves. maybe ill be lucky and Card Scanner will be in the pack or something? I don't know. I already did the deck edits and cut these cards. D-link , purrely, and ira are going to drop down a peg, though i don't see d-link untiering. ira and purrely are getting rickedy though. Since the most competitive Zoo is stapled to -ira, who knows how that'll look.
Firstly my prayers are with you and your family. I completely understand, I recently had a situation that happened and it’s going to prevent me from posting on this channel for a while now. I completely understand how you feel in terms of how Runick has been hit and the fact that we just have to maximize the time we have with the cards to its full capacity. The feedback and tips you provided has helped so much though honestly because it made me look at things from a different lens to better approach the different scenarios that arise in the game. If you don’t see videos for a while from me you know why and again I appreciate everything. I’ll still be making videos on my main channel about business which is the cannon movement.

@@YugiSmoove Agh, so your going through troubles as well. sorry about that happening to you all. my situations been rough the last half year, and it's only showing slight signs of stabilization that just backslid so... yeah. I think my ability to spew rants that big on Runick stem from reading how many people had it up to here with the deck from the outset. part of them all because it could mill. partly because floodgates being used with them. the number of runick players who go "I don't play runick that terrible way, don't lump me in with them" like that'll curry favor or something. Its the first maindeck to be utterly built on it's magic, and it was not going to play like a regular deck that ends on multiple 2,500+ frequently untargetable/unaffected/has reactive action monsters when ran pure. the draw everyone freaked about is entirely plugged into resource recycle, because it's magics lack permanence, which in a game this fast can get you clobbered but being that it requires recycling makes it even more open for tampering. during the height of ishizutear you don't know how many counter grave shuffles worked like ash blossom on steroids to end me. others see it's very ability to mill as a blight, while im sitting here trying to relive my favorite build from playground days since they can't be arsed to give Gravekeepers a proper support wave. or actually revive dark scorpions and give them a proper archetype. Mill is my favorite way to play card games period, and I wanted to have real fun with this in that way. the lessons recevied. the next decks i run I will run the hardest i can possible, because the time ill get to enjoy them's going to be fleeting unless their terrible from the outset. waiting on my Espirit/shinobaron and Melodious support to pop over to the game now so i can have more fun. I actually provided solid tips? well, I'm glad to be of help. Ill keep trying on that where im able. you keep it up on your main channel, which I just noticed you have and will check out, and do what you can out there. keep up your work!
Yo, fellow Monarch enjoyer! I also have a monarch deck, but me personally, I'd run the full Kashtira trio(Fenrir, Unicorn, and Ogre) since those can put 2 tributes and one 2800 atk and 1000 def in one card combo. The kashtiras are a blessing for this deck since they can be a tribute and a tribute summon monster, and the fact Ogre is a Monarch lol
I love the fact Orge is a monarch lol. I’ll definitely see how the deck flows with all three because I definitely see what you are saying. Do you also put the birth in the deck too?
One spell I recommend is Time Tearing Morganite you draw 2 cards for turn instead of 1 and you can normal summon twice these effects last the entire duel the only downside is no monster effects can be activated in the hand so Mithra and Maxx C would have to go another good monster is White Dragon Ninja it has to be tribute summoned so perfect for this deck and it protects your back row from being destroyed.
Nice another monarch player! A very good tech for the deck that i'd recommend would be seleglare since it's effect lets you steal your opp kashtira fenrir to use against them. And also the monarch protection against opp effect target is a very good protection against banishment too.

I've been wanting to play Monarch for a while now but didn't know where to start. It was a deck my brother enjoyed back when we were kids and when their new support came out they became his main archetype. While I tried to build meta with anti-meta techs, my brother went the full special summon hate path and I can't tell you how many times Vanity Monarchs forced me to scoop. I never understood how a lot of the cards interacted sith each other or the combo paths and effect sequencing but, your video has given me a good starting point to build from. Thanks and keep it up!

Love the older builds, a little something that few people have tried that plays kash = add macro or dimensional fissure and de ezia as techs along with gravity bind and you'll shut down most combo decks. Great content keep up the enegy.

I started with monarchs in MD as a complete beginner to ygo and got to plat elo right before ishizu cards were announced. I stopped after reaching plat tho because everyone had basically the same deck and i didnt have enough UR points to craft handtraps lol. Always thought its a underrated deck but with the new fenrir stuff it looks nuts :O
Loving your content man, I played Monarch for the 100% on Playstation but I still had no idea what they were capable of so this was fun to watch. Also your thumbnails are fire 🔥 I don't want to accidentally put down the artist but is it ai gen? I got my own artist I go to but real art is so expensive 😩

My staff at National Website Designs does all my thumbnails. Since they already do logos, flyers, banners it was easy for them to do this as well. I just say “hey I have a video on this can you make a thumbnail” and they get it done lol. I have the best staff ever at my company.

Yeah as tribute summon enjoyer in yugioh .. Monarch is fun deck and kinda strong. My personal deck is true draco+ monarch engine. You will find it more fun how consistent it is. Especially if you bring time tearing- morganite
that's a surprisingly fun deck. IMO, having the sphere makes this deck slightly more viable in the current meta. Also this deck isn't that affected by opponent dropping a maxxc.

Monarchs Erupt is a must have for any tribute based deck. It's Skill Drain that only affects enemies (and your own special summoned monsters, so basically irrelevant). Domain + Erupt + Huge Revolution is over = only very few cards can pop your back row suddenly. Only spins/bounces/sends coming from spells/traps, and how many of those do we really see these days? Well and spot removal like MST or Cyclone. For extra protection from certain archetypes, you can add Grave of the Super Ancient Organism, which blocks level 6 or higher special summoned monsters from attacking or activating effects, doesn't affect your tribute summoned monsters though. Their huge beaters won't be able to attack at all, and if they're level 5 or lower, it's unlikely they'll be big enough to beat over your own monsters. March of the Monarchs can definitely also be neat as an extra layer of protection that you can search for, seems like overkill though.
This suggestions just got me even more excited to run the deck again! I had Monarchs Erupt in the deck but once it got outed a few times I took it out. (By destroying my tribute monster) But reading this now I’m going to add it back asap! Thank you for taking a moment to share these insights on the deck. @@YugiSmoove One thing worth noting about Erupt is that it will only leave the field at the end of your turn if you don't have a tribute summoned monster. So even if they blow up your monsters, Erupt remains live and you can keep it on the field by tribute summoning a new monster before ending your turn. It's only an issue if they blow up your field with something like Torrential Tribute on your turn. Another set of cards that you could look into are the Tyrant trap cards. They all require tributes to activate then remain on the field. Tummyache and Throes block special summons. Tantrum kinda blocks spells. Temper grants protection from traps. Tirade is similar to Skill drain but also stops hand traps. Coincidentally, Monarchs and Tyrant's Tirade work well with Time-Tearing Morganite. Morganite disables the same monster hand effects for yourself, but you draw 2 per turn and get 2 summons per turn (so you can summon, then tribute summon). Only issue with Tirade is that it skill drains your own monsters which can definitely screw you over. And Morganite makes it so you cannot Ash/Maxx C. But you can just use the Tyrant cards on the enemy turn, then remove them off your field with something like Magic Planter. Pretty inconsistent and high rolly for sure + it tributes your cards that you need to use for the Monarchs, so ultimately not the most solid choice. Better suited for a Lair of Darkness Deck :P Personally, I wouldn't run Tyrant cards. Morganite is *very* good for Monarchs though. Another card that could potentially be useful is Clockwork Night. It turns the entire field into Machines (similar to Zombie World), but it's a continuous spell rather than a field spell thus no conflict with Domain. And it gives all your machines 500 ATK/DEF, and reduces the enemy machines ATK/DEF by 500. This would boost the rather weak 2800 Monarchs to have 3300 ATK and further support a Grave of the Superancient Organism type gameplay. And of course by turning all enemies into machines, it by default screws with some of their Synchros/Links/XYZs etc. unless they're running lots generic cards or machines. So it acts as a second, weaker version of both Grave (they can't beat over you) and Domain (can't use ED) packaged into one. And of course the Vassals and Squire support cards, which you already included in your list. They're pretty much designed to give the deck more ways to special out tributes or tribute summon. Landrobe stands out, as it has a book of the moon summon effect, then draws you any other vassal/squire from GY when tributed. 1x, search when needed. Garum searches from deck instead of GY, but as a summon condition it bounces one of your Monarchs, which can be neat but more niche. But if you have something like Caius on the field, you can bounce it with Garum, then tribute summon Caius again to gain its summon effect. Then search out Mithra for the follow up play next turn (or this turn if Morganite is active). 1x, search when needed. Obviously Mithra is the strongest since it creates a 2nd tribute for the bigger Monarchs AND gives you an extra summon when tributed. Absolute must have for sure. 2-3x for sure, most searched target probably. Eidos and Edea shouldn't be ignored though - they both search in different ways and have synergy. Normal summon Edea, special out Eidos, get an extra summon from Eidos to tribute both for a big Monarch. Then you can bring Edea back from GY to repeat it by banishing Eidos on the following turn. And Edea can special out any Vassal from deck you might need, Eidos can monster reborn any Vassal you might need. Example: Banish Eidos to special Edea, Edea specials Landrobe, tribute both for Monarch, Landrobe adds Edea back to hand. Or swap Landrobe for Garum to search Mithra/Landrobe. Since, you know, Vassal summon effect won't happen when they are special summoned by other effects so searching is usually better than summoning. There's an absolute ton of stuff that you can do with Monarchs due to its tribute based nature. I probably forgot another two dozen other cards/synergies.
I didn’t realize Erupt would stay until the end of my turn, I played a few duels today with it and once I realized that. It’s been incredible, plus the other trap card you recommended has really made the deck that much better. I used the eidos and edea combo prior to this latest one I put on the video and I found this one to be more effective than that one. I used Monarite as well but it seemed too slow compared to the hand traps that stop their turn from going crazy like Dragon Links, Dark World and Branded like to do. A Maxx C or Nibiru are so useful in this format I’ve found. I’ll definitely check out the other tips and when I do the next video on them I’ll update you on how it went for me. @@YugiSmoove Yeah Grave and Erupt can really buy you some time to draw into some gas, alongside Domain. That's the main issue of monarchs for me - running out of juice. So being able to stop the opponent dead in their tracks until you can crack back helps quite a bit. Huge Revolution is a nice backup plan to keep your backrow (or monsters) safe for a bit longer. They may draw into Duster and have "the out" but whoopsie, The Huge Revolution is Over, you're not outing anything buddy! Kurikara Divincarante could help break Dlink or Branded boards maybe? Also defintely test Clockwork, see how that works out for you 🤔
Playing monarchs again for the first time playing ygo in like 7 years, used to be captain of the team, ultra competitive player for a long time but was wondering if you have any ideas for good side dexk cards for jan 24 list? Loved the video cuz noone plays monarchs now really and subbed instantly lol also, I think u should really consider playing march of the monarchs, making any tribute non target able and indestructible is dumb I actually play 3 so pantheism can always get it. Turn one march domain and majesty/ vanity/ any monarch is stupid lol

With persistence and a lot of fine-tuning I made it to Diamond 3 with Domain Monarchs. Basically prioritising Vanity's Fiend, March of the Monarchs and Monarchs Erupt over and above Domain of the True Monarchs when possible

I never ran the big floods, but i still ate every single hit and then some. so fine, guess it's gonna take longer for everyone when/if i decide to still play it, since im out a bunch of card draw im not about to dump 90 UR on upstart goblin for no good result just yet to deckthin. at least this isn't pokemon TCG, where the best mill is utterly random, and the most competitive deck out build is the closest thing they have to crooked cook stall.
my prediction for what the ladder will look like is a lot more labrynth (favored child), mathmech (dependent on bystial variants), Bystials/branded (the other favored child) and VS (unhittable yet), with the new Superheavy samurai making waves. maybe ill be lucky and Card Scanner will be in the pack or something? I don't know. I already did the deck edits and cut these cards. D-link , purrely, and ira are going to drop down a peg, though i don't see d-link untiering. ira and purrely are getting rickedy though. Since the most competitive Zoo is stapled to -ira, who knows how that'll look.

I completely understand how you feel in terms of how Runick has been hit and the fact that we just have to maximize the time we have with the cards to its full capacity.
The feedback and tips you provided has helped so much though honestly because it made me look at things from a different lens to better approach the different scenarios that arise in the game.

@@YugiSmoove Agh, so your going through troubles as well. sorry about that happening to you all. my situations been rough the last half year, and it's only showing slight signs of stabilization that just backslid so... yeah.
I think my ability to spew rants that big on Runick stem from reading how many people had it up to here with the deck from the outset. part of them all because it could mill. partly because floodgates being used with them. the number of runick players who go "I don't play runick that terrible way, don't lump me in with them" like that'll curry favor or something.
Its the first maindeck to be utterly built on it's magic, and it was not going to play like a regular deck that ends on multiple 2,500+ frequently untargetable/unaffected/has reactive action monsters when ran pure. the draw everyone freaked about is entirely plugged into resource recycle, because it's magics lack permanence, which in a game this fast can get you clobbered but being that it requires recycling makes it even more open for tampering. during the height of ishizutear you don't know how many counter grave shuffles worked like ash blossom on steroids to end me. others see it's very ability to mill as a blight, while im sitting here trying to relive my favorite build from playground days since they can't be arsed to give Gravekeepers a proper support wave. or actually revive dark scorpions and give them a proper archetype. Mill is my favorite way to play card games period, and I wanted to have real fun with this in that way. the lessons recevied. the next decks i run I will run the hardest i can possible, because the time ill get to enjoy them's going to be fleeting unless their terrible from the outset.

I also have a monarch deck, but me personally, I'd run the full Kashtira trio(Fenrir, Unicorn, and Ogre) since those can put 2 tributes and one 2800 atk and 1000 def in one card combo. The kashtiras are a blessing for this deck since they can be a tribute and a tribute summon monster, and the fact Ogre is a Monarch lol

One spell I recommend is Time Tearing Morganite you draw 2 cards for turn instead of 1 and you can normal summon twice these effects last the entire duel the only downside is no monster effects can be activated in the hand so Mithra and Maxx C would have to go another good monster is White Dragon Ninja it has to be tribute summoned so perfect for this deck and it protects your back row from being destroyed.
Nice another monarch player! A very good tech for the deck that i'd recommend would be seleglare since it's effect lets you steal your opp kashtira fenrir to use against them. And also the monarch protection against opp effect target is a very good protection against banishment too.

I've been wanting to play Monarch for a while now but didn't know where to start. It was a deck my brother enjoyed back when we were kids and when their new support came out they became his main archetype. While I tried to build meta with anti-meta techs, my brother went the full special summon hate path and I can't tell you how many times Vanity Monarchs forced me to scoop. I never understood how a lot of the cards interacted sith each other or the combo paths and effect sequencing but, your video has given me a good starting point to build from. Thanks and keep it up!

It’s definitely a lot of ways you can add tech plays to the Monarch build. I recently added Erupt and that’s been a great addition to the deck as well!

Love the older builds, a little something that few people have tried that plays kash = add macro or dimensional fissure and de ezia as techs along with gravity bind and you'll shut down most combo decks.

I stopped after reaching plat tho because everyone had basically the same deck and i didnt have enough UR points to craft handtraps lol.

I was surprised at how well Monarchs did to be honest.
My staff at National Website Designs does all my thumbnails. Since they already do logos, flyers, banners it was easy for them to do this as well.

Yeah as tribute summon enjoyer in yugioh .. Monarch is fun deck and kinda strong. My personal deck is true draco+ monarch engine. You will find it more fun how consistent it is. Especially if you bring time tearing- morganite
that's a surprisingly fun deck. IMO, having the sphere makes this deck slightly more viable in the current meta. Also this deck isn't that affected by opponent dropping a maxxc.

Monarchs Erupt is a must have for any tribute based deck. It's Skill Drain that only affects enemies (and your own special summoned monsters, so basically irrelevant).
Domain + Erupt + Huge Revolution is over = only very few cards can pop your back row suddenly. Only spins/bounces/sends coming from spells/traps, and how many of those do we really see these days? Well and spot removal like MST or Cyclone.
For extra protection from certain archetypes, you can add Grave of the Super Ancient Organism, which blocks level 6 or higher special summoned monsters from attacking or activating effects, doesn't affect your tribute summoned monsters though. Their huge beaters won't be able to attack at all, and if they're level 5 or lower, it's unlikely they'll be big enough to beat over your own monsters.
March of the Monarchs can definitely also be neat as an extra layer of protection that you can search for, seems like overkill though.
This suggestions just got me even more excited to run the deck again!
I had Monarchs Erupt in the deck but once it got outed a few times I took it out. (By destroying my tribute monster) But reading this now I’m going to add it back asap!

@@YugiSmoove One thing worth noting about Erupt is that it will only leave the field at the end of your turn if you don't have a tribute summoned monster. So even if they blow up your monsters, Erupt remains live and you can keep it on the field by tribute summoning a new monster before ending your turn.
It's only an issue if they blow up your field with something like Torrential Tribute on your turn.
Another set of cards that you could look into are the Tyrant trap cards. They all require tributes to activate then remain on the field. Tummyache and Throes block special summons. Tantrum kinda blocks spells. Temper grants protection from traps. Tirade is similar to Skill drain but also stops hand traps.
Coincidentally, Monarchs and Tyrant's Tirade work well with Time-Tearing Morganite. Morganite disables the same monster hand effects for yourself, but you draw 2 per turn and get 2 summons per turn (so you can summon, then tribute summon).
Only issue with Tirade is that it skill drains your own monsters which can definitely screw you over. And Morganite makes it so you cannot Ash/Maxx C.
But you can just use the Tyrant cards on the enemy turn, then remove them off your field with something like Magic Planter. Pretty inconsistent and high rolly for sure + it tributes your cards that you need to use for the Monarchs, so ultimately not the most solid choice. Better suited for a Lair of Darkness Deck :P
Personally, I wouldn't run Tyrant cards.
Morganite is *very* good for Monarchs though.
Another card that could potentially be useful is Clockwork Night. It turns the entire field into Machines (similar to Zombie World), but it's a continuous spell rather than a field spell thus no conflict with Domain. And it gives all your machines 500 ATK/DEF, and reduces the enemy machines ATK/DEF by 500. This would boost the rather weak 2800 Monarchs to have 3300 ATK and further support a Grave of the Superancient Organism type gameplay. And of course by turning all enemies into machines, it by default screws with some of their Synchros/Links/XYZs etc. unless they're running lots generic cards or machines. So it acts as a second, weaker version of both Grave (they can't beat over you) and Domain (can't use ED) packaged into one.
And of course the Vassals and Squire support cards, which you already included in your list. They're pretty much designed to give the deck more ways to special out tributes or tribute summon.
Landrobe stands out, as it has a book of the moon summon effect, then draws you any other vassal/squire from GY when tributed. 1x, search when needed.
Garum searches from deck instead of GY, but as a summon condition it bounces one of your Monarchs, which can be neat but more niche. But if you have something like Caius on the field, you can bounce it with Garum, then tribute summon Caius again to gain its summon effect. Then search out Mithra for the follow up play next turn (or this turn if Morganite is active). 1x, search when needed.
Obviously Mithra is the strongest since it creates a 2nd tribute for the bigger Monarchs AND gives you an extra summon when tributed. Absolute must have for sure. 2-3x for sure, most searched target probably.
Eidos and Edea shouldn't be ignored though - they both search in different ways and have synergy. Normal summon Edea, special out Eidos, get an extra summon from Eidos to tribute both for a big Monarch. Then you can bring Edea back from GY to repeat it by banishing Eidos on the following turn. And Edea can special out any Vassal from deck you might need, Eidos can monster reborn any Vassal you might need.
Example: Banish Eidos to special Edea, Edea specials Landrobe, tribute both for Monarch, Landrobe adds Edea back to hand.
Or swap Landrobe for Garum to search Mithra/Landrobe.
Since, you know, Vassal summon effect won't happen when they are special summoned by other effects so searching is usually better than summoning.
There's an absolute ton of stuff that you can do with Monarchs due to its tribute based nature.
I probably forgot another two dozen other cards/synergies.
I didn’t realize Erupt would stay until the end of my turn, I played a few duels today with it and once I realized that.
It’s been incredible, plus the other trap card you recommended has really made the deck that much better.
I used the eidos and edea combo prior to this latest one I put on the video and I found this one to be more effective than that one.
I used Monarite as well but it seemed too slow compared to the hand traps that stop their turn from going crazy like Dragon Links, Dark World and Branded like to do. A Maxx C or Nibiru are so useful in this format I’ve found.
I’ll definitely check out the other tips and when I do the next video on them I’ll update you on how it went for me.

@@YugiSmoove Yeah Grave and Erupt can really buy you some time to draw into some gas, alongside Domain. That's the main issue of monarchs for me - running out of juice.
So being able to stop the opponent dead in their tracks until you can crack back helps quite a bit.
Huge Revolution is a nice backup plan to keep your backrow (or monsters) safe for a bit longer. They may draw into Duster and have "the out" but whoopsie, The Huge Revolution is Over, you're not outing anything buddy!
Kurikara Divincarante could help break Dlink or Branded boards maybe?
Also defintely test Clockwork, see how that works out for you 🤔

Playing monarchs again for the first time playing ygo in like 7 years, used to be captain of the team, ultra competitive player for a long time but was wondering if you have any ideas for good side dexk cards for jan 24 list? Loved the video cuz noone plays monarchs now really and subbed instantly lol also, I think u should really consider playing march of the monarchs, making any tribute non target able and indestructible is dumb I actually play 3 so pantheism can always get it. Turn one march domain and majesty/ vanity/ any monarch is stupid lol

With persistence and a lot of fine-tuning I made it to Diamond 3 with Domain Monarchs. Basically prioritising Vanity's Fiend, March of the Monarchs and Monarchs Erupt over and above Domain of the True Monarchs when possible
