    I truly miss Karlin dearly. She is one of my favorite watercolor artists. I have learned a lot from her - especially to just have fun painting. I have one of her original paintings. It really inspires me. I also love her books. She is truly missed.

    She opened up a brand new way to enjoy watercolours for me. Her bubbly enthusiasm and clear hands on approach was such a joy. She left the best legacy. So thankful for this upload. Much love from Norway

      I only just today discovered her work and was so excited to find her and she inspired me to pick up a brush again after a long absence. I am SO sad to find she has passed and send sincere condolences to her family. I hope they find comfort in the fact that so many of us are enjoying her video works.

    I just hung a painting of Karlyn’s today, in my new home, that Karlyn gave me, when she visited Tasmania to conduct a workshop here. So glad to see her work on YT, and to hear her voice again…

    This refreshing way with watercolors caught my eye and I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson. Sad to hear Ms. Karlyn is no longer at her studio, but I'm sure she's busy making Heaven even more beautiful than it already must be.

    I absolutely ADORE this piece of work ! And it was so well edited too - enough detail for us to understand the process but not too much that it gets boring, so it went by so fast I cant believe we're already at the end :)

    Wow. I’ve just discovered you. I’ve watched several of your picture videos and think I could do them. I would like to take a class from you, except I’m 72 yrs old and I need to fly to where you are because I live in Texas. 😢 a watercolor artist but some of your techniques are new to me. I want to leave a legacy of art for my children. You are amazing… I started painting when I was in the 5th grade, about 1965. My teacher told my mother to send me to an art teacher. So… she did. The rest is history. I learned several mediums. I wish I could talk to you…..

    Wow, Karlyn, this was a wonderful lesson full of instruction and tips and guidance for anyone wanting to learn about colour, composition, contrast, using watercolour, and so on. The cover photo in the lineup of RUclips videos caught my eye, and I'm so glad it did. I am just beginning to try watercolour, after having a bit of experience with oils and acrylics, and I'm so happy I found you!

    I enjoyed hearing: If you don't like that, just skip it. I liked it, I just didnt have the material. Had to stop at timestamp 29 minutes as I've been shifted to other responsibilities. Thanks again for the fun fresh video. 🙏

    Wow,this is beautiful,not a beginners painting,but very well explained.I love that colourful background,it really shows the lilies off so well.Although not my favourite flower,they look very elegant against the colours !so it’s actually made them look beautiful as well.I really think that the natural element of the lilies and the colours work so well together.I enjoyed watching this,and you explained it so well too.Thank you 🥰

    Wow! I’m so glad I happened upon this wonderful little lesson! This basic idea can be extrapolated on and used a zillion ways. Thank you for sharing these marvelous and very beautiful techniques.❤
    I use unryu paper, but this is a new idea. Can anyone tell if she has REMOVED the bits of paper, or glued them down?
