- In this step by step wood carving tutorial I show you how to carve a funny wood spirit sculpture in a simple way.
The wood that I use in this video is Robinia pseudoacacia, it is a very hard wood and it is not the best grain for carving but it is to teach you that you do not need high quality wood to practice. I collect any discarded wood and test its qualities and defects.

I prefer powercarving with dremel ❤
Yes, you must see this video: ruclips.net/video/f4NwOEo1WhY/видео.html
Carving with a knife is very dangerous. That's why I only carve with chisels. But I like such carvings.
Gouges and chisels can be very dangerous too. It's all about handling them properly.
😬😅👍
Good job 👍👍
But, Why don't You use Dremel..???
Some vidéos are Dremel tutorial and other only knives. I make other video of carving face on a staff with only Dremel
@@CharlyBrunetSculpture ok. Thanks.
Great project 👍
Please tell which curving knifes and gloves are you using...... as well is it available in Amazon or like that......regards.
I put links in the description. For thé gloves You can but whatever is anti-cut, You can find ir on Amazon.
Merci Charly
@@CharlyBrunetSculpture ok merci beaucoup , Charly 🙏
@@Artsens
👋😉☝️
👍🏻😉
REDRUM 😂
👍
what is the name of the knife for this work ?
It's focuser carving knives. You can find link in description.
Good video. Great help, but why the glove; you're constantly cutting toward you bare thumb; the glove serves no purpose - just saying.
The glove is useful for eventual big blows that could go out of control. The other hand is unprotected because it is the one with the knife, it is practically impossible for it to cut me. The only thing that happens is, as you say, the blows to the thumb, but they are small controlled blows.
@@CharlyBrunetSculpture Wasn't being sarcastic, just concerned.
@1776adb Yes, of course, that's how I understood it. Excuse my English, I translate it with google translator and sometimes it doesn't say what I really want to say. In any case, thanks for the comment, it is constructive. 😉
