- RC Show Action and Crash Compilation | Opening Day - Friday | ProWing 2023
The first day of the show opened with overcast but dry conditions. Challenging to film these RC aircraft in the low light but results came out fairly good with my new camera filming from the media line just in front of the paying public. Quite a few 'incidents' on this first day and nothing on the subsequent days which was exceptional. Enjoy !

A nice mix of model types. Always sad to see the demise of some beautiful models. Unfortunately part of the hobby. But the rewards are worth it.

COME ON! One of the coolest parts of watching RC planes is the group takeoff and landing. I don't just want to see the finest selections of jets and silhouettes flying in a haphazard formation. I want to see all the weird distorted planes gliding through the sky. The group of warbirds? Let me hear the engines grow louder and watch as they all take to the sky! The most interesting part of them! I'm interested! I want to see it all!

Thanks for the video Dom. Sad to see that Baumann Puma going in, it was a lovely machine. Wasn't much the pilot could do however as all heavy scale helis operate in the "dead man's curve" . Hopefully it can be rebuilt and it was at least lucky the landing gear was up.
Yeah...too low to auto. Very unlucky.

Anyone know the reason why the helicopter lost power? Sounded like thermal or low voltage cut off. It took that hit pretty well though

Sadly yes. Not a lot he could do at that height when the turbine engine shutdown suddenly. Strange because it had been running for several minutes during that demo.
A lot of very expensive hardware there. Way out of my league.
Impressive… but imho some of the demonstration didn‘t reflect the „Pro“ in the events name 😮
There were a very small number of incidents relative to the amount of flying and they all happened on the first day. Even the best pilots make mistakes and failures happen. All part of the hobby.
