Daud Ameen thanks for the time stamp.
PalacBoxing np I’ve put it on for my own use so
I can study it
I’m a southpaw fighter and there is just not enough videos out here for us. It’s so nice to be able to watch something in the direction I fight rather then having to break down orthodox instructional videos to make it work for me. Keep up the good work 💪🏽🤟🏽
Ashleigh Diaz thanks a lot for taking the time to drop a comment and watch the video. I appreciate it. Let me know if there is something specific you want to see or learn.
Mirror the Orthodox
Southpaw drills would be amazing
@@treyvonsmith3342 sadly it's not that simple because most orthodox instructionals deal with closed stance fighting and as a southpaw you are in an open stance most of the time
Don’t forget to donate
Finally! A section for us, the southpaws. Appreciate it brother, thanks!
vasu kohli No problem man. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to see or learn and I’ll try and incorporate in the future video. Have an amazing day.
Thank God you put these tutorials online. My natural or instinctual fighting stance is southpaw, so I'm glad you uploaded these. Subscribed!
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Have an amazing day!
Great stuff man. There isn't enough content out there for Southpaws. Keep bringing it.
Thanks for stopping by and dropping a comment. I appreciate it. What would you like to see more of?
@@PalacBoxing I've sparred an Othordox boxer with great shoulder roll defence. I eventually broke through at the fourth round with footwork to the outside, jab and right hook combo. I occasionally switched stance to land a left hook to the sternum (I'm right handed but more comfortable fighting as a Southpaw). This put me within the reach of his straight right. Is there a more efficient and versatile way for a Southpaw to launch offense against a Philly Shell master (Pac v Mayweather 😁)? I'd really appreciate a video on the same.
K K I’m a right handed south paw too! I only do it because I’m more balanced, have a stiffer jab and more co-ordinated lead hook. Left cross is lacking power but I’m hoping to improve technique to get it up to spec.
@@just_taniwha543 Sometimes I do strength and conditioning combo drills in Orthodox to improve my left hand power. I remember watching a pro boxer who recommended that.
@@afrofantasylit I'm a right handed person, however I am left eye dominate. I'll see what I can come of for with that. But alot of that has to do with patience in the ring and not being drawn in to fight if you do not have to.
Finally a channel for southpaw fighters like me ;)
Keep it up!
Thanks for watching. Let me know if you want to see something specific in the future.
Thank you for the videos. I recently started sparring and found my footwork is all over the place, I need to drill these into my brain until they become second nature :)
Thank you for watching and commenting. Start small, focus on a few drills a week.
There are 3 south paw fighters at our gym. I’m sharing this channel with the other two (I’m one. :) ) please keep the content coming
Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Let me know if there is anything I can help you guys with.
@@PalacBoxing sounds good! :)
I was originally an orthodox fighter but just transitioned to southpaw felt more comfortable forcing myself to purely become a southpaw I feel like I’m finding it easy
Good for you. For some people being orthodox comes naturally for others it does not.
One of the best southpaw tips i've come across. Thanks for the valuable content.looking forward for more southpaw skill tutorials 💚
THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS. I have few other videos that you'd probably enjoying watching, when it comes to southpaw boxing tips!
That's fantastic, mate. There are not many videos for southpaws so hope you will keep the good work going :)
Cheers from Poland btw.

Not a god in any sense. Just a man trying to provide some value.
Thank you for this video I really needed southpaw drills because at my gym it was very hard to 'copy' and learn from orthodox peers
I totally understand wheee your coming from. I appreciate you watching.
@@PalacBoxing I've literally watched it about 6 times just to understand it more and as I get better at boxing I understand more of what you are saying
I truly appreciate your videos, I am in the process of learning to fight to become an MMA fighter. I needed the footwork drills. Thanks!
Thank you for watching and leaving your thoughts. Good luck in your MMA venture!
Excellent video. Thanks for you and your dad.
I appreciate it!
The beat and the chorus at the SAME TIME
Thanks?
Great presentation, I’m working a southpaw and I’m an orthodox fighter. This will help my guy with his defense and attack. Thank you
Any time. Let me know if you need any more tips.
Thanks for the tips! It is quite difficult to find southpaw videos.
Anytime Vladimir!
I'm an orthodox myself but ima start training as a southpaw now. Need to master both skills and stances
punisher lol great to hear.
Such a helpful video. I can't wait to utilize this drill with my team. Thanks for up leveling my knowledge!
I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment
That’s right.. Good stuff coach !
Thanks.
Great tips, just subbed. Keep posting this type off southpaw advice we need it
Thank you very much. Anything specific you’re looking for?
Love your content, for long videos like this, it'd be great to have timestamps in the description to refer to
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the content.
When I show up to the gym, I setup the camera and start coming up with ideas on the fly. I've seen the time stamp things in other peoples videos, I just haven't gotten around to doing it.
I fooled around with tabs on one of the videos: ruclips.net/video/3Xjpa7SDxjo/видео.html
But I'll work on editing and adding the timestamps in the description of the videos.
I appreciate your time and have an awesome day!
Thanks, definitely going to consider the side step techniques ✌🏽
Let me know how it works out
Thanks man im a 16yr old southpaw need to work on my foot work a bit more
RHino what specifically do you need to work on with your footwork. Repetition under a watchful eye and studying other boxers is what helped me the most with my footwork when I competed
PalacBoxing i need to get my kicks and my proper stances for each kick position so i put it under foot work but ill go over clips here and their and study thanks:)
Great video !
Thanks for watching.
Just started , really loving your lessons, keep them coming. Great content for south paws, cheers from uk
I appreciate you dropping a comment and watching the video. What are some of the things as a beginner that would help you learn faster? Or what are some of the things you struggle to understand as a beginner? I'll try to make some videos around that/.
Thank you for this video. Please consider having a partner to demonstrate on it would make it easier to imaging foot placement against the orthodox.
Thanks for the feedback.
Really great video I’m going to implement in my game immediately,, thank you. 🙏
Thanks for commenting.
Let me know how it works out for you.
Thanks bro I'm orthodox but tryna learn both
Any time. I have a many other videos about being a southpaw.
I am naturally more comfortable with southpaw, but i barely find any videos on how to improve it. I generate more power with my left hand and i am faster with my left, but i want to work on my hand techniques! If possible could you make it in the near future please? THank you
When you are referring to hand technique, are you referring on how to improve your left hand technique, timing and placement.
Great job, very helpful !
Thanks for watching. What was the most helpful tip?
Nice stuff bro
Thank you very much for watching the video. I appreciate it.
Haven't been to your channel in some time, but you always produce high quality content. I'd like to see your thoughts on strength training for Boxing, and shadowboxing with resistance bands both the pulley type and mobility bands on knees.
Thanks for stopping by and dropping your thoughts.
In response to strength training, I'm a fan of it, so long as it doesn't take away from the time you spend in the gym working on actual boxing skills.
For strength training its best to focus on compound lifts and explosive movements, think squat, deadlift, rows, cleans, high pulls, unilateral leg movements.
Shadowboxing with bands, I haven't tried it personally, I know Holyfield was one of the first boxers to use it in the 1990's. Now everyone is jumping on that bandwagon, but without proper technique and skills you'll be wasting your time.
As far as putting the bands around your knees, I don't see the benefit of it in the boxing ring when shadow boxing, because you can obviously use the bands during your strength and conditioning/plyometric sessions to work on your lateral movement.
I'm a firm believer in spending more time working on your boxing skills and craft than spending time in the weight room or with a strength and conditioning coach. Learn how to perform the compound lifts I mentioned above, along with unilateral leg movements and cleans and you should be good. However, never forget about the importance of rotational strength.
Great moves!
I appreciate it.
Thanks a lot for this contents ❤️
Anytime...but thank you for watching and commenting.
WELL, DONE.

Awesome videos!!
Thanks for watching and the comment.
Thanku sir your telling nice techniques
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
I have a question, during the first drill where you’re moving out of the way and then throwing a jab, how are you going to throw the jab if you are now facing away from the fighter since you changed the way you were looking instead of just slipping the punch (p.s. i’m new to boxing, so i don’t know much)
You throw the jab as more a defensive tactic to keep your opponent off of you or to setup another punch.
Superb brother 😘 love u ❤ you helped me lot in improving foot work I am in search of a video like this thank you I am going to subscribe u ❤.
I appreciate it.
Sure this is going to help me alot💀
Which one of them did you find the most beneficial?
great video
Thank you
👍 ty sir for the video
any time what else would you like to learn about or see??
PalacBoxing I love orthodox fighter livershot, but as a southpaw all I do in the fight is just 1 2 and run away, can you make a video about southpaw livershot or bodyshot . Thank you somuch 👍
@@ThanhBui-gv6ce You can watch some of the cuban and russian amateur southpaws from the 1990's, they threw a lot of looping left handed liver shots as southpaws. Look up
Héctor Vinent, Juan Hernandez, Ariel Hernandez, etc
ty sir ✊
Ur best❤
Thanks!
Would I be correct in saying that the turn to the inside with the subsequent left hand would be more likely given the defensive nature of the technique? I mean, I guess these turns are responses to the orthodox fighter coming forward, and in these scenarios I guess they would be more likely than not to step forrward trying to put their lead foot behind yours
I was looking for u
Do I owe you money or do you owe me money 😂
@@PalacBoxing no no i just finally find someone who make good videos about southpaw boxing😂
@@PalacBoxing and i d be appreciate if u make video for bag hitting exercise
@@نعيممحمد-ز3ن Thanks for watching and giving me some ideas for next videos.
I am natural ortho but I need to change my stance
Why do you feel you need to change your stance?
Do you plan on competing at all?
If you do not plan on competing I think it’s easier to teach someone how to fight as a southpaw. When it comes to competing it all depends on what feels best for the fighter/beginner.
Wow...nice vid...frm 🇵🇭♥️🦅
Thanks for the props!
I like your content but I don't get this, how is it that that little angle off allows you to throw a right that is perpendicular to your original direction. Your opponent is not at 90 degrees they would be more at 20-30
It’s not exact trigonometry 😉
@@PalacBoxing lol whoops I was just trying to understand why you were doing that if there was some reason that idk about coz I'm wanting to use this drill
@@lifeisgood9474 look at this way. Your hips and your opponents hips are inline/squared up when you are in front of him/her.
As you take a step to the outside with your lead right foot, you position you position your hips perpendicular to your opponent because now your foot is perpendicular to them.
It's as if you switched to right handed/orthodox stance for a quick moment, while your opponents, is no longer in line with you.
It's a very quick movement, and best used against a fighter who is pressuring you.
Let me know if that clears things up for you.
Great stuff!!! Definitely not for beginners though... you're dropping Southpaw 102 stuff here. Things that even a lot of supposed world level lefties don't have in their bag of tricks.
Thank you for watching the video and leaving your thoughts. I really do appreciate it. Let me know what else you'd like to see.
Southpaw 102 I'm dying!!!!
@@PalacBoxing Hey, what else can we call remote learning lol
Can't wait to get back in the gym. As far as what id like to see ... just keep doing what you're doing (maybe use the ring more in your tutorials, minor nitpick) Its cool to see Southpaw specific stuff that actually takes into consideration the mirrored stances and angles of a lefty/righty fight
I’m like a newbie newbie and it doesn’t rlly help that my stance is left handed but the camera is showing him in the opposite way.
Chinae Love I’m not sure what you’re getting at? Are you leading with your left hand or right hand?
that step and punch was easy ngl
Let me know how it works for you.
I mean I appreciate the video but you are real hard to follow
