- The Dallas World Aquarium was built in an old warehouse in downtown Dallas Texas and is essentially an indoor Orinoco Rainforest and in this video, Dāv Kaufman takes you all on a complete aquarium tour! The Dallas World Aquarium is more than just another aquarium, it's more of a combined zoo complete with a cloud forest trek where you will experience more birds, parrots, song birds, and birds of prey than you can count! You'll also see monkeys, reptiles, amphibians giant otters and even a manatee! If that wasn't enough, they even have a shark tunnel! If you're visiting the Dallas or Fort Worth area, this is one tourist attraction you don't want to miss! The Dallas World Aquarium has been accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) since 1997 and a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) since 2000.

I just found this video; the last time I visited this aquarium with my family, that shoebill stork scared himself on accident, just by stretching his head out, and into an overhanging vine that I guess he forgot was there. We laughed. A lot. Bless his heart.
That was awesome! Between the Sea Cow and Giant Otters I would probably still be standing there! Yes. More, please!!
Thank you for taking us along. I would never imagine I'd see such an amazing place and i never would've if i hadn't come across this video. Now I'm going to spend the day catching up on your journeys, so thank you again for your dedication and sharing with all of us. Keep safe.
Love the video. Love to see more zoos and animal parks from around the world. Brilliant as always
Thanks! More is on the way!
Your tours are always excellent. The things you mention and the way you explain them make it as if the viewer is right there with you. I had not seen you doing the videos for a while and it’s great to have you back.
Thank you! I’ll be doing more like it coming up!
Yes please need to see more zoo's. I do love them. ❤️
More on the way!
Always love zoo tours. Love to see more! ❤
More on the way!
Love the video. Love seeing all the different animals at the zoos and aquariums. So awesome.
I’ll make more then :)
Wow this seems like such an amazing place, I love giant ecosystems like that. It reminds me of the Amazon rainforest dome and the steinhardt aquarium at the California academy of sciences in San Francisco. It's one of my favorite museum/zoo/quariums I've ever been to and you should definitely visit if you haven't before. And while you're in the area you can't skip the Monterey Bay aquarium. It's hands down the best aquarium/zoo I've ever been to! Thanks for showing us all these cool places
I wanted to go there last time I was in the bay but ya know, covid and all. I'll make it back soon for sure!
I love the Dallas World Aquarium. I used to deliver their feeder fish back in the early 2000's. Looks like they have grown and added on a lot.

Excellent video, thanks!
I've been there. Great place. Definitely worth checking out along with the Dallas Zoo.
Love all your videos, more, more, more !!!
Thank you!
This place is amazing.
Thanks for the video and for the info .
I like it, when we travel that gives us some ideas!!
That place was awesome!!!
More Zoo and Aquarium content? Yes please! :)
This place was amazing. It is a must see if your ever in the area. Can’t recommend it enough.
Love the zoo adventure!
One of my favorite places!
Heading out there soon and I wanted to preview for my preschooler.
This was amazing and I can’t wait to watch her wander and wonder :)
What an awesome place to visit! Yes I'd love to see more zoo tours!
Thanks brother. More on the way!
Love the Zootours a lot but for me they could all be at least 30min episodes ❤️🔥
Loved this video! What a great looking aquarium!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yes please show more.... love all your content
Thanks!
That place was amazing! It's almost a misnomer to call it an aquarium when it has so many other animals in it. Loved your walkthrough of it and would love to see more of these types of videos. One of the most amazing exhibits I have seen is the world of birds show at the Minnesota Zoo. They had an owl fly so close over my head that it ruffled my hair! That would be another great zoo for you to tour if you haven't already.
I agree! And yes, the Minnesota Zoo is my hometown zoo so I’ll be filming a tour there for sure!
That ocelot is stressed OUT! Big time! 😫😥
Absolutely gorgeous!! Gotta come here soon!
It’s definitely a cool place
I haven’t been in about 15 years, but I love that aquarium. They used to have informational plaques on the exhibits, especially for the monkey island. That part used to be open air so the birds could fly around. Got close to a few a couple of times. The tree was too far from the walkways for the primates to jump over.
And you’re lucky to have seen the otters. I’ve been many times, and they were always napping.

ruclips.net/video/FZuy4JCDCgk/видео.html😄
Sounds like they took the plaques out, perhaps to be more “natural”. Perhaps they need an audio tour option, where you can borrow or rent an audio set that talks about each exhibit and shows the plaques through the QR codes. Idr where I was, but there was a museum that did this so you didn’t have to go in order for the audio tour, you just scanned the code at the beginning of each room… maybe one of the Philly history museums.
Great tour, and a place I have yet to visit!
Zoo and aquarium tours from around the world be amazing.
More on the way!
Love to have more
The fish in the sting ray display was an arowhana. The arapaima/pirarucu/paiche was in with the manatee.
Love the video. Love to see more zoo🐒❤
More coming!
Hi Dav Love how you can have so many wonderful adventures. When I watch all of your videos, I love your excitement, and love for all the animals and reptiles. I like that you share some of your knowledge about what you see on your many travels. I would love to see more trips to a zoo.🐊🦎🐍🐢🐠🐟❤️Cindy
Thanks Cindy! I’ll make more for sure!
Great review - more zoo and aquarium content please
I sure would like to see more zoos and aquariums and even drive through safaris
would love to see more tours like this! i wish i could go to all these wonderful zoos and aquariums myself but sadly i currently can not travel. this is almost as good as going my self.
I’ll probably never be able to travel to most of these places. Just getting to my local places is much harder than when I was a child, lol. Love being able to see what I can’t go see myself!
you should have filmed inside the gift shop they sell a bunch of awesome things like the stuffed animals ( that are in the aquarium ) they sell cool cups & shirts. all kinds of things.
This video got me to subscribe, I was there over 22 years ago. Love the Dave Kaufman reptile channel. Need to order a couple of rattle on shirts.
MORE,MORE,MORE PLLLLLLEEEEASEEEEEEEEE. LOL😄 Hoppe Katelyn is ok? Rattleon.
More is on the way!
I’m here too!! Dav gave me a break this week!! Thanks Liz 🥰♥️♥️♥️ -Katelyn
Good to here from you.😀
That place looks awesome. I’ll definitely check it out if I find myself in the Dallas area.
Great video as always. I'd love to visit this place!! :)
Thanks bro!
DWA has always been an odd one for me. It looks amazing but the owner just seems sketchy. Great video, thanks for doing it.
Thanks Dav! I think zoos can super cool.. especially ones that go all out on reptiles and enclosures. I’d be into some international zoo content! Be well man 😎
The ocelot looked stressed but otherwise fantastic
I think it was feeding time for him
@@DavKaufmansAdventures ok
I love shoebills. My fav bird. they're hilarious.
Hi thanks so much for the wonderful video.did you hear of the Lacey bill.call up your sentor and say that you don't want the lacey bill to pass.also emailed your sentor.if the lacey bill passes it will effect pets.have a wonderful day
Yes! We know about it and are all doing our part!
Great Stuff as always. Next up on the fishing channel Dav fishing inside aquarium crocodile enclosure.
I visited there for the first time with my cousin Christy for Valentine's Days
Love the video bro! Not sure why you don’t have more subscribers
Glad to hear that and thanks!
I would like to see if you could get a little bit of a behind the scenes of either the Chattanooga aquarium or the Ripley believe it or not aquarium, or even the Atlanta aquarium lol!?🤠✌️ rock on! 🤟
Love it!! Dallas World Aquarium is one of my local places. The area you were in where the ocelot was is pretty neat. Did you see the Mundo Maya performance part?
The QR codes are a newer thing (since the last time I visited a few years ago), previously for the rainforest portion they had a booklet that you got right at the beginning thta included all the info for the birds and maybe a few others but most of the exhibits that were in more contained enclosures had an info card.
If you want to check out other zoo type places in DFW, there is the Heard Natural History Museum on the North side of DFW in McKinney, and definitely check out both Dallas Zoo and Ft Worth Zoo :)
I think these are great man!
Really enjoy them, thank you!
#RattleOn
Thanks Lance!
@@DavKaufmansAdventures my pleasure
The plastic ball is bc there is an octopus in that tank
Dallas has a zoo as well 👀👀👀
The last time I was in BC, I caught a 15 pound hamster ball fish.. Not very tasty but put up a good fight. Lol...always enjoys your explorations
lol!
Wow; I've never seen a manatee with so few scars on its back, from boats! There are basically none on that one, which makes me wonder if they captively bred it...?
Dallas world aquarium has bonnethead sharks and old animals
"and arapaima"
*shows silver arowana*
Great video as always.
Yeah, I didn't have a good shot of one when I said that VO
this is the only zoo/aquarium outside of Central and South America to have a Brown-Throated Three-Toed Sloth (or any species of three-toed sloth for that matter!)
That’s a really good question
If you want a cool native animal experience you should come over to Wildlife Prairie Park in Hanna City Il. If you decide to come out hit me up and I'll show you around!
I am considering flying to Dallas for a day to see this. Do you think it's worth the $30 admission + a $60 round trip plane ticket? I do love fish, and really want to see a Shoebill.
the Georgia aquarium in atlanta has several manta rays, and whale sharks
I know! I'll make it there soon!
That place is awesome ! They had vampire bats! I wonder how they fed those. Any idea Dav?
People that try and sneak in I suppose
@@DavKaufmansAdventures 😂😂😂 that would be worth watching 😂😂😂
They asked for volunteers when I was there!😂😂😂😂
Did you know that electric eel aren't true eels but a type of catfish
More tours
Coming up!
Go to the Georgia Aquarium! They have a huge manta and whale sharks.
I will one day for sure!
@@DavKaufmansAdventures please do! Also if you ever end up around Chattanooga Tennessee, we're so proud of our Aquarium, we built a second one next door. 😎
@@destinystarr3494 Hey it’s Katelyn! I have been there and it’s GORGEOUS 😍😍 will definitely be back!
If y'all come back to my neck of the woods, definitely reach out, I'll use any excuse to go through the Chatt Aquarium. I love it.
and the ocelot used to be a jaguar
Chattanooga aquarium
I believe the Georgia aquarium has manta rays, also I don’t think that was a true manta ray, but a close relative
I haven't been there yet but I'll get there soon! And yes, it's in the manta family
The Manatee is lonely 🥺
would i be able to bring a stroller here easily? Don’t want to be dragging a stroller up the stairs
Yes, you can
When you know your worth, no one can make you feel worthless
The only question I would have is all enclosures accessible for wheelchairs? It didn't look it but maybe that's because you are able-bodied and don't need a ramp or elevators.
No it’s not. And it gets very crowded and packed so if you have a wheelchair or service dog it’s nearly impossible to navigate.
I’m torn. On one hand, it’s a somewhat realistic view, in a nutshell, of aquatic life in specific regions of earth. These are creatures that most people are not going to have the opportunity to see in their natural habitats, so it’s educational in that sense. However, realistically speaking, these are all small enclosures. That poor ocelot, pacing in a glass enclosed cubicle! How absurd! It should be on a tropical jungle preserve deep in the Andes. And large aquatic mammals in a glass enclosed cubicle? No. I’m sorry, it’s just cruel to put them on display while alive. I appreciate your videos Dav, I know that many zoos these days take in animals, mammals, birds, and reptiles, that actually need to be taken care of by humans now, because they are not able to thrive in their natural habitats independently, for various reasons. Unlike in the old days when they purposely bred in captivity FOR zoo exhibits, Although I know it’s still done to an extent.
Womp womp
Those are red tail catfish, big deal in the monster fish aquarium world
Whoever thought those small walkways were a good idea was dumb. Jesus it's so crowded you can't even walk around. We spent 100 and it was not worth it. The dallas zoo is cheaper and a better experience. People aren't piled up on one another. I've never been grouped by so many strangers in my life.
dude that's a devil ray, not a manta ray
Not worth it. Way overpriced and the line is 30 min to an hour wait. Definitely not worth going. Unless the price was cheaper. Recommend Definitely don't go. Save your time.
it’s worth it to me cause it’s one of the coolest places to be when you’re in Dallas ❤
Excellent video, thanks!
