Here is my guess: Since 40 000 white farmers currently produce 90 perc if food local food( 2perc of white population), the country will run out of food supplies within about 12 months. Looking at the current track record of the emerging black farmers(90% failure rate) and that of Zimbabwe, I doubt that food production would continue at more than 10%. Furthermore since farms are annexed and banks and mines are nationalised, international investors will pull out, resulting in the crashing of the rand , lets say R1000 = $, thereby importing food would not be feasible since $2 dollar bread would cost R2000.00 to import. So what about subsistance farming? Unlike zimbabwe South Africa is highly urbanised with a very large population compared to zimbabwe. If Zimbabwe failed to feed its own via subsistance farming, South africa will fail ten X over. The rich (of all races and commercial farmers) will leave south africa while the poor will deal with the consequences, after starvation creeps in, social instability/chaos will erupt resulting little armageddon of hell as a hungry man has nothing to losing.
