First time I ever heard “dark spring” was on the way back from a family trip from Maui,Hawaii ...it was the perfect song to finish my adventure back from my long week vacation 😭 ...unforgettable. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 thank you beach house!🙌🏼
This version of Lazuli is absolutely superb
except Victoria doesn't sing the second layer over the chorus :( "its nothing like lapis lazuli"
@Joseph Clavelli its just my favourite part of the song, so idk if personally it's my favorite version of it. no disrespect to her of course
alex's guitar during the bridge oh my god that was majestic!
right!!? the bridge and second half is amazing in this newer version. I always found the vocals too commanding in the studio version
this is probably the best live sound i’ve ever heard.
great job Pitchfork!!! what an unexpected treat
wonderful setlist, Wishes + Sparks, Girl of the Year or Dark Spring have gooorgeous live climaxes.
This music is like a warm blanket in a cold winter.
Saw them two days later after this show in Washington DC, it was incredible. The bass was tingling my body hair, and I wasn't even close to the stage.
I was there too and it was an incredible show! I wished I was a lot closer myself but the sound was pulsating through my ears nonetheless.
I was at the front row right near the stage for that show at the Anthem, but had to move back to the 2nd or 3rd floor center right. Not sure how people can do that for an entire show with the bass and drums, its overkill. It was much easier to hear her, all the instruments, and the acoustics if you're further back.
This is cool, but there really is no substitute for experiencing these cats live. That sound is so expansive. Seeps into your bones.
So true. It really is a completely different experience, their sound is so powerful. Got to see them live yesterday and I already cannot wait to do it again.
haha seeps into your bones, chuckling cos it's so true!
seen them 2 times last year in different countries (Barcelona, Santiago de Chile), was sobbing too much to admit on both
