    In 13 lakhs for ZXI model, we are not getting basic features like:
    1. Front armrest,
    2. Fog lamps,
    3. Cooled glovebox
    - We are only getting 2 airbags (should have been 4 atleast)
    - Sunroof should be optional to bring price down
    Old brezza/urban cruiser gave all features (except airbags and sunroof) in 11.5 lakhs. Most other companies give these features at less price. New Brezza is very overpriced.

    • @AYBHB
      @AYBHB 2 года назад +5

      Sunroof should always be optional in every car. I would prefer ventilated seats, electric parking brake, tpms, auto dimming irvm, etc instead of a sunroof.

    Maruti is finally starting to understand they need to play the dollar game. They have all the bells and whistles (in the top variant), but guess they are too optimistic with the pricing. Lower models are not positioned well w.r.t price.
    1. Cars have generally got expensive and repeat buyers would definitely not like the price of this one. For example, Ecosport second to top variant used to be 10.xx in 2018. The Zxi here is significantly pricier and not equal on features.
    2. Even first time buyers will compare this car with competition, even that wouldn't go well with Brezza.
    It's only the 'as smooth as a snooker table' kind of service experience that works in favour for Brezza. But I guess since this is India, and it's coming from Maruti, this would be a decent seller. If they could sell Ignis, they can sell a cucumber on wheels.

    • @manish007142
      @manish007142 2 года назад +30

      Dude! Ignis is a great VFM car especially in the Sigma variant.
      It costs similar or less compared to a Tiago, Celerio, Santro and S-presso and offers better space, engine and features and it has 3 star safety rating, so not very far behind in safety aspect as well.
      Not talking about looks here as they are subjective.

    I badly miss the ddis dual jet diesel engines. It has crazy punch and fuel efficiency. I still remember my uncle had a Ritz vdi. My uncle had often highway runs. It has crazy torque and 17 - 18 kmpl of fuel efficiency. It was smooth on the highway, was rock solid at 120 and reliable (for a hatch during those times). Plz bring back your diesel engines, Maruti. Most of the units sold were also diesel during those times... I really loved the fiat - maruti diesel engines.

      A turbo petrol is good. But not the 1litre ones offered by the competition. Doesn't get any subsidy from gov now . So price has increased. 4star rated as well

    with a 1.5lit petrol engine other manufacturers would given a bit of performance where maruti concentrates on mileage & kills the 1.5🤣...they should actually give a platina engine which will give an efficiency of 100kmpl🤷 so that no one could touch their top 1 list.

    People are saying that the top end variants are overpriced. yes it is. but does it matter? Maruti has provided all the important features in the VXI variants. My eyes are on the VXI variant. 4 star Safety rating, refined engine, Maruti's service network are things to look out for. Nexon is still a strong product and the XM(s) variant is just a gem.
    From what I am seeing, people were asking for 6 airbags, sunroof etc and Maruti just gave it to the buyers. Buy it if you want.

    • @manish007142
      @manish007142 2 года назад +3

      Bro ! VXI is almost 1.5 lakh more then Lxi in cost and all it offers is a music system in addition to LXI.
      VXI is certainly not a VFM variant, go for LXI and get a good music system installed aftermarket, that'll cost you ₹15K-₹40K and you'll still save more than 1 lakh rupee.
      If Automatic is what you want then VXI remains the only base option.

    This time Maruti has hit all the dots in terms of reliability, space and driveability. I only wish the steering turned back on it's own, when taking a u turn. Overall, I am in love with this car. When it comes to pricing, it's a bit too much. But, you cannot expect a manufacturer to provide all the creature comforts, while maintaining the same prices.

    the modest 103 bhp in the new Brezza is due to the fact that anything more than 140 bhp might upset the dynamics of the vehicle since the Brezza was never designed for logging lap times . . .

    There is a difference of over 1.5 lakhs between vxi and zxi. While other brands offer a variant for every 50k Rupees, Maruti has very less options. They need to offer a vxi+ variant at 9,99,000 ex-showroom without sun roof, push button start/stop, electric rear defogger and some other gimmicky features. And even ZXI variant not having a front center armrest is really bad.

    They have priced the New BREZZA as if they have given the 1.6L (320Nm) DDiS engine which used to power old S-Cross and was simply amazing 🤩
    Honestly, the entire segment of Sub 4 Metre soo called SUV (actually a crossover hatch) is over priced… so not using any brains… Maruti also jumped into that price segment…
    A 4.2m VW TAIGUN HIGHLINE at 15 to 16.5 lakh is a much much better option than this overpriced Brezza for 15 lakhs on road…
    You get much premium experience and a segment above car…

    Perfect review!.. The car's biggest sore point is it's boring 1.5ltr NA engine that is good as a commuter n nothing more.. Infact all of its competitors have an exciting Turbo Petrol that produce atleast 160Nm n more as against 138Nm of max torque on this lazy machine!.. Heck even the new Tata Punch rivaling Citroen C3 has a bomb of a Turbo Petrol with 190Nm of max torque!!.. 😛

    The price of the top model with automatic transmission is over 16 lakhs ( on-road Mumbai ) like seriously????? Who's gonna pay 16 lakhs for a "suzuki" badge. I do admit they've given alot of features but still it's the same "suzuki" where driving dynamics are not sorted.... The steering still feels dead at the centre..... Below average quality of materials. Now some people will say ... Brezza is never meant for enthusiast, it's meant for families but their are better far better options in this price point. I would've opted for Virtus highline manual it's price is around 15.20 lakhs on road Mumbai. It's better in almost every terms except those gimmicks like 360° camera, HUD etc. Or even Slavia's ambition variant is a better option. Even Honda City is a great family car at this price point with decent amount of features.

    Hi, Autocar India Channel & host Mr. Nikhil Bhatia, as always another well produced video. Maruti-Suzuki Brezza lacks on few aspects, I.e. should have atleast 18" alloy wheels, must have ventilated seats as Indian summer are merciless with bit stiffer cushioning and for any SUV be a small, compact or large it must have a Diesel power train. These were the reasons that last gen Maruti-Suzuki Vitara Brezza was a flop because of only petrol engine. Look at the fate of Audi, Skoda, VW and more.
    The success of KIA Motors India, Hyundai Motors India, TATA Motors, Mahindra,, Toyota is having multiple power train.
    I doubt new Brezza success, as of first gen as it had FAIT diesel engine.
    Thanks Autocar India for posting every story on India's auto space.
    Good Luck & Keep it Going.

    if my prediction is correct, as has been for me with Maruti's gameplan, The Brezza is the fall guy they have made in order to amp up the Vitara. If it is indeed such a great car, why did they not shift it to Nexa despite being north of 10+ L ? exactly.
    The Vitara will take that slot and will offer much much more, like with the hyryder, to capture the Creta, Seltos market share with the Maruti service reliability they are known for. Brezza's top models are intentionally priced it that way cause they themselves know it will not sell, so they are trying to cannibalize the brezza with Vitara. Mark my words, Vitara upper mid variant will cost the same and will sell much more.
    Sly gameplan, but Maruti shooting themselves in the foot to propel themselves up. And add Turbo, Maruti. I love how my XL6 drives but the low hp and nm numbers rear their head when the car is fully loaded.

      In real life it will dude but not according to the keyboard warriors here . It's a great product by Maruti and just wait for the new SUV . Maruti's gonna rock the market with a storm in coming times.
      Ps. I worked from 2016 to 2019 for maruti and know what efforts maruti does for the customers.

    Nexon 1.2L turbo petrol giving 18 mileage on highway if you drive 90-100. premium interior and good stability on high speed. brezza is under powered car and feels the lag when driving with 5 members.

    A larger naturally aspirated engine is much much MUCH better than a puny turbo charged engine. Fine you might not get the best acceleration given the turbo boost, but overheating is inevitable, especially during long spirited drives... That's the worst. Ask me how i know

    Great car and awesome review. Fun to see many auto experts in comments section saying it's overpriced and this n that. Guys don't buy them. Maruti is still no 1 car selling company in India.
    Loved new Brezza! ❤️

    Over all a costly proposition. If it does not get the benefit of tax with 1.5 litre, why keep it under 4m or why not add a 1 litre turbo ?
    Maruti do not like to experiment.
    For the asking price of ZXI+ AT without the extra punch in driveability, they should have added Ventilated seat, UV cut glass, TPMS and better seats.
