What is the "safety screw" that is labeled?

The filters don't stop the fines. If they did you'd have to clean every month. The best way to preserve drain field is cut water usage to a minimum to greatlly increase settling time in tank.

id recommend with respect to closing the lid, that if you live in Florida you're going to want to close them insanely hard if your at ground level like. Come June you're take a tsunami worth of water. Hot summer days will make your yard smell unusually septic. Keep it 8-inches above ground level and surround with potted ferns to hide.

I agree. Those risers should have been installed at least another 6" higher off the ground. But, I guess it makes it easier to cut the grass with a riding mower.

Can you please share a link for the septic filter with the handle ? I like that it has some sort of an extension handle

It's ok to rinse off the filter onto the ground with the dog running around? Isn't there coliforms and all sorts of nasty bacteria coming off that that will get on their paws and then transported around into the house etc?

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. Guess I will look at other videos and see if this comes up.

Much of the information given is misleading/incorrect. If you have questions about your system/filter, I would recommend that you call your local septic service provider and ask them for information.

The information wasn't misleading. Take the cap off, take filter out if the water line is below the filter port, clean filter, reinstall filter and lid.
Do it once a year at a minimum and check every 6 months.
Seems pretty darn straightforward and glad people are giving information for free.

Terrible videography. It was NOT focused on the work being done.
