Always love your. “Just the facts”. style of info. I am always amazed how many don’t think it is worth it. I always get at least 2 bottles of water in every port. Additionally I saw the speciality meals are now $45 for my February cruise

You did a great job explaining. We're going on our 1st Princess cruise next month and have the plus pkg. We'll see if the specialty dining is worth jumping up to the Premier.

Another detailed video! I love it! I just got off Discovery, and I had the Plus Package. It took me until the last day of the cruise to get into O'Malley's and that's because I went there at 4:30 and waited. My friend also had the Plus Package, and she wasn't able to get into O'Malley's or Ocean Terrace. I feel both of those areas are small and not enough room for the size of the ship. Even if they would offer lunch would help.

We are so glad our video was helpful. We are excited for your being able to take a cruise on the Coral Princess. Somehow the time and itinerary never work out for us to take the Coral Princess. We absolutely love her sister ship, the Island Princess which we sell on again later this year. We have a ship tour on the Island Princess which should be similar. Thank you for your comment and have an incredible cruise!

Thank you! I have a 10 day cruise next year. I was pretty sure the Premier would be good for me. I’m lazy and don’t like having to switch devices on the WiFi and love the specialty restaurants, especially Catch by Rudi which will be on my ship. Not much on alcohol but I love their specialty coffee and juices. This confirmed the math I did in my head.

As usual, I applaud and appreciate your work on the schematics of Plus and Premier packages. Good job! We normally get the Plus package for our 2-week cruises as we get a good amount of OBC and use that for the dining and tours. I appreciate your doing the math on the longer cruises. We are booked for a 54-day cruise and have the Plus package but our OBC for that length of cruise just won't cover it. So, with that being said, we are seriously thinking of upgrading to the Premier package. We can easily come close to the daily cost with just beverages and wi-fi. the cost of specialty dining has gone up by over 30% since 2022 (I think that's when it went up). To us, for a cruise this long, it is a no brainer. Also, we would like to pay up front as much as possible so that we can enjoy our time on the ship easily. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for your positive feedback and insights on the items important to you. You bring up excellent points such as speciality dining increasing in cost. We also enjoy paying upfront and not worrying during the cruise, and we are in a similar "boat" with considering if we should upgrade to Premier based on just a few beverages and any speciality dining. Jeff was suprised with the findings and recalculated the figures several times. Your 54 day cruise sounds so exciting. Have a fabulous time on your voyage.

I always get the Premier package because I tend to like the more expensive wines and liquors. I usually have 5-6 drinks a day plus coffees.
I may do a desert occasionally but rarely. I also do specialty dining almost every night. My math works out easily. I am also a solo traveler so Princes makes up for some on the increased rates to travel. I also tend to like the longer cruises (14+ days). Loved the analysis.

Thank you so much for your comment. It sounds like your decision on whether to purchase Princess Premier is an easy one.
We also like the more expensive wines. On our first post covid shutdown Princess cruises, we experienced a limited selection of finer wines by the glass as wines would be out of stock. Our experience is that Princess has improved the available selection of wines by the glass since then, and we love many of the options. It would be wonderful to know what your perspective on the wines Princess offers by the glass. Thanks again for your comment. Happy cruising!

@@ACruisingGoodTime I recently got off the Discovery Princess and liked that they now have Caymus by the glass the Crown Grill and adjoining bar. I am on the Sun Princess in 3 weeks and hope this holds true on that ship as well. Wines by the glass can always be improved upon but Princess has gotten better in he last year.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We are sailing next week on the Caribbean Princess. We will search for Caymus as well as the Northern Lights. 😀🍷 There may be an upgrade from Princess Plus to Princess Premiere in our future. Have a fabulous voyage on the Sun Princess!

Great analysis. We like a more “all inclusive” feel as well. We’ve booked three Princess Cruises with the Premier option so far - all before August 16th at the $80 price per day. Our only question is will Princess start counting our water bottles now toward the 15 drink per day limitation? They never have in the past, but just wondering if that will change with this? Thanks again.

    • @ACruisingGoodTime
      @ACruisingGoodTime  Месяц назад +1

Thank you so much for your kind words and for all of your support, we always enjoy hearing from you! Princess was not counting the water bottles as part of the 15 drinks when you purchased your $80/day Princess Premier package and they should honor it. Please let us know if you experience varies. The $90/day package is unlimited drinks. Have an incredible time on all of your cruises!!!

I had no idea premier and plus would be so close. Princess makes a great amaretto manhattan, and it comes in at $18 dollars. I was paying the additional $3 on the bill, but it looks like premier may be better for me! Thanks for the great breakdown!

Thank you so much for your comment and supporting our channel! We are glad our video helped with your selection. I will have to try an amaretto Manhattan! I personally am a big fan of the mai tia and dirty banana. You raise and excellent point with the top shelf cocktails and the break even cost for Premier. If you are a top shelf cocktail drinker the break even point for premier is similar to the wine costs so 3 per day will break even for you. Additionally, if you are getting the Premier package, it will also provide economical opportunities to try more fun high end drinks like the salted watermelon margarita and top shelf liquors for cocktails or sipping. Happy Cruising!!!

Great break down of the packages! We cruise on Sept 14th. we have the premier package. We are not taking the upgrade. our doubt was with the specialty and casual restaurants. Will reservations be plentiful?? How is this going to effect the packages going forward?

Hi. Thank you for watching our video and supporting our channel. We are glad you found it useful. You should use the app to book your dining reservations before you get onboard so that you can get the time that you want. With unlimited specialty dining, the reservations will probably fill up sooner. Here is a link to our video on making dining reservations in the app. Happy Cruising!

My mind is still swimming. First time cruiser in January so I really don't know what I will use. I want wifi for one device, I don't drink (ordering water and some soda ahead) and going with a group that may only eat at a specialty place once or twice for a ten day cruise. I'm thinking the packages don't pay out for me.
