We have not done the luxury version but we may do so in the future. It’s the same train, but with nicer chairs and food and drink are included. If you do it, please let us know your thoughts. You can’t go wrong either way. ABC has the best snorkeling and diving especially Bonaire. The Virgin Islands have the mountains and great beaches. This is one of the few times we would consider the ship and the rest of the itinerary. Happy Cruising.

I would opt to go with the Elite Package next time I sail will Holland since that one covers gratuities. Thanks again and take care.

I personally am a big fan of the mai tia and dirty banana. You raise and excellent point with the top shelf cocktails and the break even cost for Premier. If you are a top shelf cocktail drinker the break even point for premier is similar to the wine costs so 3 per day will break even for you. Additionally, if you are getting the Premier package, it will also provide economical opportunities to try more fun high end drinks like the salted watermelon margarita and top shelf liquors for cocktails or sipping. Although you can book two people at once for the cruise, each passenger will have their own boarding pass in their app. So the companion will need to download the app and log in to see the boarding pass (and to use while onboard ). We both have to use our phones for the boarding pass. (Lots of times Princess only uses the medallion instead of the boarding pass). Hope this helps. Happy Cruising!

Thank you so much for your comment. It sounds like your decision on whether to purchase Princess Premier is an easy one. We also like the more expensive wines. On our first post covid shutdown Princess cruises, we experienced a limited selection of finer wines by the glass as wines would be out of stock. Our experience is that Princess has improved the available selection of wines by the glass since then, and we love many of the options. @@ACruisingGoodTime I recently got off the Discovery Princess and liked that they now have Caymus by the glass the Crown Grill and adjoining bar. I am on the Sun Princess in 3 weeks and hope this holds true on that ship as well. Wines by the glass can always be improved upon but Princess has gotten better in he last year.
