Hi Thank you for watching our video and leaving a comment. Yes, the Caribbean went into a 3 week dry dock about 2 weeks after we got off. We are currently on the Island Princess which also had a 3 week dry dock since we last were on her in December 2023 and there are a lot of changes. The biggest changes are around making her more accessable - more ramps, some lower bar counters, wheel chair lifts, etc. Also almost all new carpet. The hot tubes also look new. So based on our experience on the Island, we expect a lot of updates for the Caribbean as well. Happy Cruising!

Hi. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. You are correct - there is no additional cost with Premier at Specialty Dining unless you add one of the up-charged meals ( i.e.surf and turf). Premier essentially makes the cruise into an all inclusive. Happy Cruising!

Thank you so much for your comment. It is very difficult for me to say what is my favorite Princess ship. All of them have aspects I love. I especially love the Enchanted Princess, the Crown Princess, the Ruby Princess and the Emerald Princess. For some itineraries the Island Princess is my favorite. @@ACruisingGoodTime It was many years ago, but the name was "Compass" sailing Bonaire. The skipper was Dutch with a very strong accent and was delightful as was his son who helped him.

Each Princess cruise ship has different options for free food and the restaurants may have differnent names on different ships, but every ship has many options for free food. A high level summary of free food for all passengers include: all the food in the main dining rooms including afternoon tea, the International Cafe, the buffet, the food on the lido deck which includes pizza, and typically burgers, hotdogs and tacos and soft serve icecream. Room service if you use the paper tag and place it on your doorknob at night to order breakfast items for the next day. At the free restaurant you can ask your waiter what drinks are free. Standard coffee and tea are free in the free dining areas. Some juices are free at breakfast. @@ACruisingGoodTime Oh my, thank you for your reply. We have since booked our cruise. We will be on her in July 2025. I just wanted to ask about the feeling of rocking on the Island Princess. We read that she does not have modern stabilizers like on other ships. Did this another you at all on your past trips?

Hi. We are onboard the Island right now. She has been smooth although we did have some rough seas due to a storm and missed a port. She has stabilizers - no question. Happy cruising!

In our wrap up in the video, we discussed that if you do not want the aspects of More at Sea you can get select Sailaway which is cheaper than More at Sea; however, Sailaway has a big disadvantages that you do not get to pick your cabin. NCL will assign a cabin to you up to 24 hours before the cruise. Happy cruising!

I booked FAS+ before 01Oct24 so I keep that with the MAS drink pkg. As long as I don't change anything before the cruise i still keep my unlimited internet and the 2nd excursion credit. That 150 minutes only lasts 2.5 hours, but it requires you to log on to the internet and it steals a minute right away and allows you to browse, but remember that if it is slow to the internet and browsing it eats minutes. After you are done online log off right away. Remember that if you need to check-in for your flight home at the end to save at least 10 minutes depending how easy the airline site or app is to check-in for your return flight if only one, but if more than one airline or person add time for that from that 150 minutes. That's why in the future NCL is setting you up to have to buy an internet pkg. Then also you will have to pay the full excursion for the 2nd and beyond in your room. No water cartons included in the drink pkg. How sad is that? The casino used to give free drinks while playing, but not unless you are a Pearl level player and that only lasts till the end of the next year in March.

It sounds like you are well traveled. We really appreciate your comment and insights. During our last visit to Dominica, the boat snorkeling tour to the champagne reef was not operating so we took an all day tour which included the champagne reef. It was a lot of time in the car and too much for a few of the other guests. Thanks again!
