This looks like something that’s RIGHT UP MY ALLY. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the game is as good as the soundtrack
I enjoyed it Reagan, I've played quite a lot of twin stick shooters and it's one of the most enjoyable ones I've played, if you just want to chill you can play it on easy mode and then hard for a challenge.
Been playing this for a week now and never gotten past the "Okay so what killed me just now?" phase.
It runs great, the soundtrack is amazing but it just makes me long for a Geometry Wars type game that's actually CLEAN and communicates well visually.
Lol, I found myself running from all everything when I started playing, I did find it unusual that enemies explode into bits of themselves when dead so it can be hard to tell what's what. I played the original Geometry wars but didn't really get into it much.
I wish Sierra or Activision would stop sitting on the franchise now and make a new game, or even port over existing games to Switch. I’m sure if there’s demand it’ll happen.
You always review the games Im interested in. Thanks man.
Hey Zach, no problem hehe
I loooooooooved the music in this one.
You been playing it SH?
@@SwitchStars yes. I think the scoreboards are not active yet. 4/5 definitely. But that music. So gd.
Scoreboards are active now, think I saw SWC on there which could be Switch Corner 🤔
@@SwitchStars SHC switch heads channel. Lol. I think I typed wrong once with SWC. Lol.
@@SwitchStars oh no I'm SHC. Lol. 8th Ur 7th. Bugger. Lol.
I'm a huge twin stick shooter fan. Bezier is ok. A bit repetitive & sometimes too much going on on-screen to actually see what you're doing. The same team also made Death Ray Mantra SE, which again is just an ok twin sticker. I recommend Galaxy Champions TV or Tachyon Project or Debris Infinity as much better ones.
Yea I play them occasionally, to me they always feel like more of a time filler game and I don't usually have that much time to fill lol thanks for the recommendations, I'll be sure to bear them in mind for a future twin best stick shooters list 😉👍
@@SwitchStars Your channel is great & your reviews are always honest. So, thank you 👍
@@frankmacs9379 You're welcome dude and thank you :)
Have you played Death Ray Mantra SE. Or even better Devastator
Or Inferno 2? On Switch?
Pre-ordered for £4.99 on UK e shop, looks brilliant
I had a great time playing JR, play it with headphones on LOUD
@@SwitchStars will do :)
Bought this as its current 75% off, at 1 AUD, although I think they are dreaming if they think $40 AUD is an OK regular price for this. I find it very hard to keep track of the player ship in handheld mode, there is nothing strongly enough differentiating it to enemies and bullets even. In fact there are some things on screen that are not harmless at all, the same colour as killer stuff. Sorry I don't like this, and I love shmups. Also loved super stardust on PSP but not this.
Yea for some the price will no doubt be too much, I do expect it to be frequently on sale, it had a 75% discount before release. I know what you mean about the particle effects, I was wary at first but I did get use to them after a while. I have some other SHMUP reviews coming up so stay tuned :)
@@SwitchStars I made a typo, I meant 10 AUD lol.
@@teddym2808 I was wondering how you got such a high discount lol
Looks good, but 8:33... It's fixed? It's a temporal issue on the run or it's the end of the run?
I was writing the script and paused the game for about 10 minutes, after that I started to notice some clitchy light streaks and after leaving it for another 5 and resuming gameplay that is what happened. This was mid run, I'm not sure if its fixed yet, I haven't tested now the game is released.
@@SwitchStars Sounds like a very rare glitch.
@@TheCain91 I only experienced it once, it may not happen every time you pause the game for an extended period of time.
@@SwitchStars Well, I played a few runs and completed on Hard. And it's cool, really cool.
But the original price it's too much. It have the regular content for an arcade or score attack game. Pretty on visuals and BGM, but not enough for 24€ for me.
@@TheCain91 Yea Cain, I know the price would be an issue for some people, there are other twin-stick arcade shooters on the Switch for around the same price and I didn't think it was too bad if you are into that genre but it wont be worth it for everyone.

Haha 😂 alls quiet.
Is there a physical?
Not that I know of.
Just got this for $2 fun times
Yea well worth it at that price IMO
Regrets on getting this. Below average.
Sorry to hear that Medusa, I thought it was a pretty well rounded twin-stick shooter.
Yeah, I absolutely agree. Galaxy Champions TV or Tachyon Project is much better.
