Saw these guys (and doll) performing eight years ago in their classical outfits. What a blast, what a thrill. They sound as good on stage as on the album. At least in my experience. This one's also got this massive sound as I remember they had back then, but it's more listenable.
Oh my goodness ! I just bought the ticket two days ago ! Yes, I'm happy and humbled that Fleshgod Apocalypse have decided to come to our distant country and to my wee city. Along with Wolfheart - Another band I have not seen live before. Wednesday the 27th at the Lion Arts Factory will be a night to remember. Cheers Hedgy.
Not sure when I first heard of Fleshgod Apocalypse but I do remember reading about Francesco's recovery and surgeries - so maybe around there..? Anyhow, the first song I heard was "The Fool" and I instantly loved it! Been a fan ever since. If "The Violation" is a song that steamrolls right over you I'd say this is a song that'll trample you. Not what I expected from them but still their signature sound! Saw them at a small club in Gothenburg in November 2022 and to anyone who has the chance to see them live I say - DO IT!
Wonderful! I love Fleshgod !! I think you should also check out Oracles, their first album :) . Its really unique because there is no orchestration and its their only Album where the guitars do all the harmony work. Its like baroque tech-death andi loved it so much that it actually took me a wile to warm up towards Agony. But i love King and veleno dearly now!
Beautiful. It's even more powerful reading the lyrics. I think he was figuratively punching himself in the head for having gotten himself into this situation. Unrelated to the song, I was sad to read that the founding bassist Paolo Rossi left. His vocal bits and acting in The Violation video were my favorite parts.
I think a bit more of a gothic feel to this than I remember from them, mostly on the quieter parts with the more poppy female vocals. Not a complaint, just a little differerent and to be fair they've always had a good heaping of gothic influence in there. Maybe a bit more vocal layering around the cookie monster stuff as well Otherwise bit more funky drum stuff in there. Was not quite sold with how the guitar solo started, but real nice once the piano joined in
Thanks for the video 🙏
What a great song ... gezuz
