Are use a lot of air Coolers to cool parts to pull to a tolerance... just so that you know when you put air on one side it will pull that barrel in that direction
On a fireforming barrel that’s shot out I will do that, but rapidly cooling a good barrel like that can potentially result in unseen damage or change to the barrel. The barrel heated up gradually, ideally it should be cooled gradually.
No I’m saying shocking a barrel with a wet rag is much different process that cooling with air. If it works for you then by all means that’s cool. I’m just not personally a fan of the wet rag process. And in all fairness it’s very likely that the wet rag can work for some situations but all I’m trying to say is that it introduces a variable that I’m unwilling to accept. That’s all. I appreciate the comments for discussion.

Keep a cooley ;..;.;in the winter you could use as personal heater ;. heat from barrel blow on your hands .;.;.lolol
fastest and cheapest method....wet towel....get a dish towel and wet it...the water evaporating will cool the barrel super fast...

@@FClassJohn so your whole premiss was rapid cooling of barrel with this product...so basically you are saying this product will ruin a barrel..
