Alduin's destiny was to destroy the world so it could start anew, but he became corrupted, he began to lust for world domination instead of destroying it. as you "defeat" him at the end of the game, you free him from his chains and return him to his original state, thus dooming the world to be destroyed so that it can begin again. or at least that's what I believe. Great video!
If a being is that powerful then death is more of a delay. The best way to defeat an enemy that powerful is to trap them, not kill them. For if killed they will return sooner then later. Jyggalag is such a being for example.
There's no more epic and Adorable way to interrupt your Execution with that beautiful Black Dragon face of his staring at you while Casting a Meteor shower fire Storm all around our boring dull world
correction, it forces them to temporarily experience the concept of mortality which is entirely alien to a dragons mind. a missed detail is that alduin's soul is not absorbed like every other dragon slain prior, which validates his claim that he cannot truly die. he is tasked with ending the world after all.
Furthermore Hakon one eye is stronger than all 3 of the Tribunal and even 3 of the greatest Nord warriors including Hakon couldnt even bring down Alduin
Strong enough to boast and get his ass kicked. Peryite is wiser. Perhaps the most cunning dragon with the longest life. Why brag and make yourself a target when you can manipulate events to get results? No matter how strong you are you can't outrun time. Old age takes root. Rot and rust decays all empires. How do you counter something like that?
@@Veldazandtea i don't think u understand Alduin was going to eat EVERYTHING, as in Magnus the literal sun and the other gods who didn't become daedric or Aedric prince's like meridia before she turned into a Prince, Alduin is the same guy who created Mehrunes dagon and Mehrunes dagon was the only one who would challenge him and would always lose, Alduin doesn't have to worry about peryite tm
I just realized something... How does Alduin know anything about dragonborn? Like, how does he even know what a dragonborn is? He was thrown possibly several millenia forward in time, so the only dragonborn he could have ever encountered would've been Miraak, the first dragonborn. But since Miraak didn't do what he was meant to, how much did Alduin actually learn in this regard? Unless there were dragonborn in the previous Kalpa? Or am I overlooking/forgetting something, and this whole thought process is only due to my brain being tired?
He definitely knows who the dragonborn is. He addresses the dragonborn as dovahkiin during the events at kynesgrove, but I think even with that knowledge he doesn't care because he believes that even though they have the power of the voice, they are still considered beneath him as he is a dragon and we are only "mortal beings"
@@Enz0LM Yes, I am aware of that. My question was more, _how_ does he know so much about what a Dragonborn is, if the only one he could've ever met is Miraak, who didn't do the Dragonborn thing? But maybe I'm just overthinking things.

Dragonrend doesn't just bring dragons to the ground. It makes Alduin mortal.

Alduin is stronger than all the Daedric princes and at his prime would be stronger than Magnus so really shows how powerful the Dragonborn is
