Found this guy this week and can't put him down. I had already started reading the Spawn comic again with issue #300 in 2019 so this NEW figure line along with all the retro nostalgia and new momentum the current Spawn Universe characters are getting in the comics has me excited for more NEW Spawn action figures.
This is what I always thought Violator should look like. Great figure in every way, but, his left ankle joint and upper ankle has weak detents. I tested 3 of these and every one had the same issue. He stands well for a while, but eventually falls down. No shelf presence unless you need that shelf on the floor every day or two.
@@the90sVampire I've been experimenting with different poses too. I have gone around 3 and a half days (personal best) before finding Violator face down on the carpet. The rest of my Spawn wave stands triumphant! 🤣
Its crazy I spent like a week I figured it out extend both ankles out fully flatten out the feet make sure both legs are parallel side by side. Swivel the upper body back just enough to where hes leaning but still looking up. Did my best trying to put this in words lol
The sculpt is phenomenal. That said, and with a preface that I have no attachment to the charcter, I think the overall design is a step backwards as the classic version had a stronger shape design. In silhouette, this guy could easily be confused with other bulky characters whereas the classic version, there was no mistake - it was the Violator. Certainly doesn't take away that this is one hell of an imposing and beautiful figure, just feel it loses some of what made the Violator iconic in the first place. I would kill for this sculpting and flourishes (that spine! omg awesome) on a classic spindly version of this guy though. That one criticism aside, I feel McFarlane is killing it with these guys lately and your review of Gunslinger Spawn prompted me to buy my first McFarlane figure in years. Keep up the great work!
Desperately want to pick this guy up. Wish my Target pre-order had gone through, or that I'd even have seen them show up in stores! Definitely the big winner of this new Spawn line though, this looks phenomenal. Squeaky-creaky joints and all.
I always thought the original violator was too skinny. Looks great in comics but as a toy it just looked weak and limp wristed. This one looks like a cross between Doomsday and Violator.
That poses (pun) a good question are people assuming the ethnicity and race of someone by the conduct of the channel or review. Someone some where will get a grant and the general public will get the details. Be well.

This figure is, by far, the one I'm looking forward to the most out of this series. He looks so damn good.
His head moves way more after heating him up, much more range going up, down, left and right.

I found this as well but i found how to stand him where that ankle doesn't mass with his balance

He's a long way from that rubber bendy Violator from that first wave of Spawn figures way back when.

Id def buy this...i have soooo many Mortal Kombat Spawn figures that needed a villian to pose fighting!

Personally I grew up with the skinny version of violator so that threw me off but the figure looks incredible in person
