The Sorrowful Mysteries

The Christian faithful prays the Sorrowful Mysteries to reflect on the life of The Lord Jesus Christ, God The Son after the Last Supper. In The Agony in the Garden, Jesus accepts the will of God. In The Scourging at the Pillar, Jesus bears the sin of humankind. In the Crowning with Thorns, Jesus shows that God is all. In The Carrying of the Cross, Jesus manifests his patience. And in The Crucifixion, Jesus personifies forgiveness. Being with Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary through the mysteries of the rosary (Sorrowful, Joyful, Glorious, and Luminous) enables Christians to be one with God.
To fulfill its mission to engage in the positive transformation of individuals and society towards faith, humility, and obedience to God through everyday spirituality, the Center of Learning on Culture and Spirituality (LoCuS) Ministry of the Deus Noster Foundation Inc. (DNFI) produced this 2023 video version of The Sorrowful Mysteries. The DNFI pursues to be one of God’s instruments to sow love of GOD and neighbor in community with various individuals and organizations, by building centers of learning on culture and spirituality and providing life - enabling programs that nurture the oppressed and neglected. In this video, Fr. Phil Estrella (OMI), Fr. Bobby Mac Roxas (SDB), Fr. Leoben Octavo “Phem” Peregrino, Fr. Bernard P. Nolasco (SDB), and Fr. Rafael Neil Hernandez (OSJ) share their reflections on the Sorrowful Mysteries.
