- Namrata Shirodkar is an Indian actress and a former model who won the Femina Miss India title in 1993. Her popular works include Kachche Dhaage (1999), Ezhupunna Tharakan (1999), Vaastav: The Reality (1999) and Pukar (2000).
She made her Telugu debut in 'Vamsee' (2000) opposite Superstar Mahesh Babu who's also her husband. She is also the producer of the movie 'Major'.
In this open and honest conversation with Prema the Journalist, Namrata talks about her acting career, family, kids, marriage, husband Mahesh and much more.

Unlike many star wives she truly came across unaffected about people's opinions, not concerned to have a super glamorous appearance. Looks so graceful & gorgeous with natural ageing...just loved her❤️❤️
arey shes not a star wife. shes a star herself. she was femina miss universe india and a successful famous actress herself. well as to need to work anymore not needed mahesh babu comes from a rich settled family so its logical u need one spose to concentrate on home and kids usually its the wife as its natural and usually men cannot handle aa well as women ...women who ncontinue to have roaring careers have very supportive husbands and support systems but even then it is tough for the woman as she has to work but still manage home and kids ...unless u have money needs why go through all that headache

Every male n female(all age groups) has to listen to this interview multiple times..esp the current generation couples. Mahesh n namratha are very clear about the relation,values,true soulmates.hence they hv super growth n happiness in thier lives."Respect" is the most important factor for any relation to survive n cherish.
I agree with u.The present generation really needs to understand that only when u give respect u get it.There is so much to learn from this couple.The success mantra for any marriage is 'Trust'.

@@basha3361 actually she was not getting decent offers in Bollywood as she is an average looking girl n also not a talented actress . She dated wrong people for getting offers which also failed n her sister Shilpa did cheap roles n probably that affected Namrata's career too . Mahesh Babu is the best thing that happened to her...which gave her money, fame, stability n family life .

This is hard to believe that in today's day and age someone can want a "Non working wife". Only a man who is unsure of his abilities can demand such a thing. No one can spend their life doing adjustments and sacrifices all their life even if husband is a millionaire. I would still prefer her to continue her work.
