There was only ever physical attraction between them, and Padme staying with Anakin despite his very dark tendencies. Anakin should've left the order with Ahsoka, so they could've done truly good things around the galaxy, instead of following the council and politics. Not saying those 2 should've ended up together instead, again, just go around the galaxy doing good, like freeing slaves for instance.
